Albert Camus - Cizinec komplexní scénografický projekt / Albert Camus: The Stranger - complex scenic project

Strmisková, Denisa January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce a renowned French author Albert Camus and subsequently develop my own conclusion on one of his major works - The Stranger (1942). In the first part I introduce the personality of Albert Camus's in the context of philosophical history, literature and drama. I aim to explain the background of his life in the first part of the 20th century, particularly the influence of his origin in Algiers, at that time politically and culturally dominated by the French, in contrast with later residence in France itself. These influences promoted the principle of individuality in the work of Albert Camus and clearly directed him to his own interpretation of literary expression and existentialism. Further I outline the basic principles of this philosophy and I present his most important literary and dramatic works. More specifically I deal with the analysis of the novel The Stranger itself. The topic of next chapter is the presentation of Camus's selected work on the Czech as well as international stages and their specifications. In brief mention I present film adaptations as well. The second part goes in to analysing my own conclusions of The Stranger with a particular attention to the set design. This is closely related to the practical work of the thesis - designs of chosen scenes and scale models are included in the photographic documentation. I aim to explain how I use the actual text of the novel whilst adjusting its structure in relation to the stage design. Then I analyze in detail the various dramatic situations and scenes in terms of set design solutions. In short I present technical and lighting solutions of this production. Conclusion of this thesis refers to the contribution of Camus's work and its influence on the art scene of the 20th century.

Dialog autor-hudba k procesu vzniku koncepčního hudebního p očinu / The dialogue author - music; about the process of origin of a conceptional musical piece

Urbánek, Stanislav January 2012 (has links)
The author in this thesis addresses selected aspects of the process of origin of a conceptional musical piece, particularly a song (as a complete form), he reflects the principle of a dialogue which is present in music and tries to describe the way in which the originating musical structure is perceived from the point of view of the author. That is the communication of the authorial self with his own musical idea. Furthermore the author strives to authentically reflect the process of the origin of his own musical attempts. Each of the five chapters of this thesis deals with different set of themes- themes which are closely connected with the actual process of musical creation (the process of creating music and foremost the process of "making" songs). The first chapter is dedicated to formation of values and to determining the author-music relationship, while the question of taste, necessity and creative direction is being emphasized. The second chapter attempts to answer the question what exactly can be regarded as a song, how its boundaries can be defined and in what way can time and space be managed within those boundaries. The third chapter approaches the author's relationship with his music as a dialogue, tries to describe it and it also deals with understanding of the current in music and the necessity of the element of the immediate during the process of musical creation. In chapter four of this thesis the order of steps in the birth of a song is discussed - from the initial idea to the final form. In the last fifth chapter the author seeks his own constructive and creative expression and he especially analyzes the relationship between originality and authenticity.

Ambroš, Miroslav January 2012 (has links)
In this work I wanted to focus on the personality of the Czech composer Bedrich Smetana, and analyze the composition " From my Homeland". I find this remarkable composition to be extremely important for the Czech violin repertoire. In my opinion, the significance mof Smetana´s music is still underrated.

Významy tvorby v životě výtvarných umělců / Meanings of art creation in artists' lives

Botková, Mariana January 2016 (has links)
This thesis is questioning the meanings of artistic creation. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The first part introduces the topic through seven fundamental psychological approaches. The second part tracks the question of the meanings of artistic creation using qualitative half-structured interviews with three painters. During the interview analysis and interpretation, additional text and image documents are included as supplementary sources. Subjectively important topics that are linked to individual's artistic creation formed their so-called internal story of creation as the first output of analysis and data interpretation. Moreover, all three stories are compared with psychological approaches within the model of De Botton and Armstrong (2014), extended by a mutual comparison among artists and unification of various psychological approaches. Key words: creation, meaning, art, purpose, value
