As today (July 2002) there is no doubt that a wireless revolution has arrived. As internet communication is growing stronger, more suitable and advanced techniques are used to integrate offices and home based networks to this new standard. A still somewhat sleeping and awaiting market actor to this new technology is the industrial one. The Blueboat application is meant to replace cables in a military marine system, showing that the wireless solution is as least as good and more flexible as the traditional based on cables. Our task was to send system information such as course, speed and depth from an internal rack to a client computer via Bluetooth. The system information is to be received, interpreted and logged on some kind of software (Bluboat) at the client computer. To do this we are using a microcontroller that is listening on a serial port to receive the information that is to be transmitted. In the microcontroller the data packets are reformatted to Bluetooth packets which are sent to a Bluetooth device connected to the microcontroller On the client side the Bluetooth packets are received and formatted so that it is possible to read real-time data on e.g. a laptop anywhere in the near facility. / Idag (juli 2002) är det ingen tvekan om att en trådlös revulotion är här. I takt med att Internetkommunikation växer sig starkare utvecklas mer anpassade tekniker för att integrera kontors och hemmanätverk med den nya standarden. En fortfarande något återhållsam och vaksam aktör på den trådlösa marknaden är industrin. Vår applikation är tänkt att ersätta kablar i ett militärt marint system och samtidigt visa att den trådlösa tekniken är minst så god och mer flexibel än den traditionella lösningen som är baserad på kablar. Vår uppgift bestod i att skicka systemdata såsom t.ex. kurs, hastighet och djup från en intern-rack till en klient dator via Bluetooth. Informationen ska tas emot, tolkas, visas och loggas i en mjukvara (Blueboat) på klientmaskinen. För att klara av detta använde vi oss av en mikrodator som lyssnar på en seriell port för att ta emot information som sedan ska skickas vidare. I mikrodatorn tas datapaketen emot och formateras om till Bluetooth-paket som sedan skickas till en Bluetooth enhet som är kopplad till mikrodatorn. På klientsidan tas Bluetooth-paketen emot och tolkas så att det är möjligt att läsa av realtidsdata på t.ex. en bärbar dator någonstans i närheten.

The aim is to establish two decision models, a model created in MS Excel and a model created in MATLAB which simplify the selection of the supplier.

Railways are one of the largest transportation networks in the world that play an important role in the mass transportation of both the passengers and freight. The speed of trains and as well as the axial load carrying capacity have been increasing significantly during the past few decades to keep in pace with the population and economy growth and to compete with other modes of transportation such as the road, air and water transportation system. Billions of dollars are spent annually for maintenance of rail tracks in the world. The efficient and optimum use of these funds is a challenging task that demands innovative and cutting edge technologies in railway engineering. The railway subgrade is an important part of railway foundation and should be capable of providing a suitable base supporting the ballast and subballast to accommodate the stresses due to traffic loads without failure or excessive deformation. The progressive shear failure is a well-known and age old challenging problem for railways over the world for centuries. The subgrade of railway track which typically constitutes of fine-grained material tends to fail through the accumulation of soil movements up- and sideward developing a path for the least resistance along which progressive shear failure occurs under repeated train-induced loads and due to the effects of climate factors. To-date, limited number of studies have addressed failure mechanism associated with the progressive shear failure, especially using the mechanics of unsaturated soils. In this thesis, a novel and first of its kind, Visual Basic program developed in AutoCAD environment based on Mohr-Coulomb failure criteria and unsaturated soil mechanics theory. This program is capable of taking account of the influence of matric suction and simulate progressive shear failure in the subgrade under moving train. Simulation results suggest several parameters that include stress distribution, matric suction, cohesion, coefficient of lateral earth pressure at rest, and coefficient of residual friction as well as the angle of internal friction have a significant effect on the progressive shear failure and the shape of failure planes in the subgrade. The progressive shear failure in subgrade can be reduced by increasing matric suction, cohesion, coefficient of lateral earth pressure at rest, and coefficient of residual friction as well as the angle of internal friction, and optimizing combination of these parameters. The simulation results suggest the progressive shear failure can be well simulated with the Mohr-Coulomb failure criteria. Several suggestions are made for railway subgrade construction and maintenance based on the results of this study.

Diploma thesis is about development of program application for management maintenance of fixed assets for the companies ESOX, spol. s.r.o. and ESOX-PLAST s.r.o. In the first part of the work are mentioned theoretical backgrounds which where used to create diploma thesis. Further in the work there is evaluated the current situation of companies and also current situation of the solved problem. It follows by the creation of the application which single parts are described in the diploma thesis. At the conclusion there are summarized benefits of the program application and its assessment from an economic perspective.

The thesis deals with technical analysis and introduction to the possibilities of its use in deciding to invest in the capital market. The theoretical part describes the theoretical background needed for the initial introduction to technical analysis and its indicators. In the practical part are gradually elaborated various indicators of technical analysis applied to the development of the shares of Intel Corporation and in the end there is the comparison of their profitability.

The main goal of the thesis "Technical analysis" is to analyze the issue of technical analysis itself, more specifically the CAMP model, which deals with optimizing the portfolio, then design a program to calculate it (generate the required results). This analysis corresponds to the structure of the thesis, while in the beginning of the work are mentioned an important theoretical basis. There is described the financial system, financial and capital markets in connection to the Burza cenných papírů Praha, a.s. and other major capital markets. In addition, I discuss the methodology of technical analysis, CAMP model and the source code and the description of Visual Basic. Then I use this methodology in practice and focus on the goal of the work. Finally I analyze the options, benefits as well as weaknesses of the CAMP model and my program in the Czech capital market conditions.
