Franchising a jeho uplatnění v podnikatelské praxi / Franchising and Its Aplication in Practice

The aim of this thesis is to analyze franchising as a business method and look at it especially from legal point of view. In the first (theoretical) part of the thesis we mention the history of franchising, then we specifie the advantages and disadvanteges of franchising and we also look at the current situation of franchising in the Czech Republic and in the world economy as well. The rest of the theoretical part is devoted to the legal aspects of franchising. The theoretical part of the thesis is followed by the practical part, which describes establishing of a franchising relationship with Vodafone CZ. Emphasis is placed again on legal aspects and much space is devoted to the contract on the future franchising agreement. The goal of this work is to introduce people considering to enter the franchising relationship with the positives and pitfalls, and assist them in deciding whether to enter into this relationship or not.

The last part is the summary of the customer experience with theese companies and reasons for the changes and behavior in that relationship.

Drivers of corporate rebranding in the telecommunications industry in South Africa and the impact on brand equity

(Strategic Marketing))--University of the Witwatersrand, Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management, Graduate School of Business Administration, 2014. / In the last two decades, South Africa has witnessed a series of reforms in the telecommunications industry, including the corporate rebranding efforts undertaken by major telecommunications corporates. In April 2011, Vodacom, following the increase in ownership in 2009 by Vodafone, launched its new image. With the corporate rebranding, Vodacom kept its name, but effected changes to the logo, slogan and colour scheme. The rationale for keeping the name is the fact that Vodafone’s presence in Africa is far smaller than Vodacom’s. Vodacom holds power and position in the marketplace in South Africa and Africa. In addition to changing its brand colours from the familiar green and blue to red, the brand colour of UK-based Vodafone, which owns 65 percent of Vodacom, it has also assimilated Vodafone’s teardrop logo. The purpose of this research was to investigate the drivers of corporate rebranding and the impact of corporate rebranding on brand equity of South African brands. The research used quantitative data. There were 134 respondents, with 109 completed questionnaires, from a convenience sample who were all employees of Vodacom. The survey was administered through an online portal and analysed using descriptive statistics and principal component analysis. The main findings confirmed 9 of the 10 drivers of corporate rebranding identified in previous literature. The outcome of the research also summarised these drivers into 2 fundamental factors, namely corporate structure and strategy, and macroeconomic factors. The brand equity of the Vodacom brand has been adversely impacted following a rebranding exercise. The old brand is represented by three factors that corresponded with Aaker’s model (Aaker, 1991). These factors are brand awareness, perceived quality and brand loyalty. The new brand was represented by a factor labelled ‘infant brand’. Macroeconomic factors were perceived to the most significant drivers of corporate rebranding.

Práce se zabývá problematikou využití humoru v reklamě. V teoretické části mapuje současnou situaci využití humorných reklam, sleduje historii, formy ale i právní stránku reklamy obecně. Podrobněji rozebírá problematiku erotiky, hudby a osobnosti v reklamě, ale také guerilla marketing, sociální reklamu a lidovou tvořivost. Hlavní důraz je však kladen na praktickou část práce, která popisuje marketingovou komunikaci společnosti Oskar (dnes Vodafone) a podrobněji ji rozebírá pomocí obsahové analýzy jejích TV spotů a dotazníkového šetření.

Genom vår undersökning ville vi ta reda på om SALSA, Vodafones data warehouse tillgodoser användarnas informationsbehov. Som stöd för vår analys jämförde vi befintliga teorier inom områdena information samt data warehouse, med tillämpning i verkligheten genom vårt referensföretag. Undersökningen har utförts genom skriftliga intervjuer samt enkäter, där två olika undersökningsgrupper ingått. Den ena gruppen har utgjorts av SALSAs utvecklare och den andra av SALSAs användare. Den hypotes som vi arbetat med är "SALSA tillgodoser användarnas informationsbehov" med underfrågorna "Vilka krav kan användarna rimligen ställa på SALSA?", "Vilken information saknar användarna att få fram från SALSA?", "Vilka förslag på förbättringar gällande SALSA har användarna?" samt "Räcker användarforum för att framföra användarnas synpunkter på SALSA?". Då vi analyserat och bearbetat materialet från enkätundersökningen samt besvarat våra frågeställningar, har vi verifierat vår hypotes. Överlag får användarna sitt informationsbehov tillgodosett av SALSA, även om såväl utvecklare som användare är medvetna om att vissa förbättringar skulle kunna göras.

Záměrem mojí diplomové práce bylo provést strategickou analýzu společnosti Vodafone Czech Rebublic a. s. Nejdříve byla provedena analýza externí (tedy mikrookolí a makrookolí) a pak na ní navazuje interní analýzy. Výsledky těchto dvou analýz jsou využity v ve SWOT analýze, na zaákladě které je provedeno doporučení pro další strategie. V práci jsou také analyzovány strategie, které podnik využívá už nyní.
