This diploma thesis deals with political polarization of Czech society regarding the trust in all presidents from 1990 till today. It introduces the term 'political polarization' and its main research areas, especially various aspects of the electorate polarization. The thesis describes theories of voters' polarization, the specific relationship between polarization and ideological consistency, and topics of the polarizing influence of presidents, mass media and electoral process. The empirical section analyses the development of people's polarization in terms of trusting presidents and determines whether the groups declaring strong trust and distrust show specific sociodemographic characteristics, political orientation and political engagement. Datasets from The Public Opinion Research Centre's survey Our Society between the years 1990 and 2017 were used.

Přestože patří Francie mezi země s vysokou mírou politické stability, je členem nejdůležitějších mezinárodních organizací, ve kterých mnohdy zaujímá klíčové postavení (OSN, EU), její politický vývoj byl vždy pestrý a v mnoha ohledech i dynamický. Tato komplexnost francouzského politického systému vedla autora k vymezení podtématu, s jehož pomocí se tento systém pokusil rozebrat. Cílem práce je charakterizovat a na konkrétních příkladech ilustrovat, jakou roli mělo zavedení přímé volby prezidenta republiky v roce 1962 na politický systém V. republiky v teoretických i praktických rysech. V závěru práce autor hodnotí minulé prezidentské volby a pokouší se nastínit možnou budoucí orientaci francouzského politického systému.

The direct election of the president is political, politological and also constitutional-legal topic which has already accompanied for many years. It appears always in connection with the presidential elections, but also as a part of the parliamentary election campaign. February 2012 interrupted the regularity and direct presidential election was approved. The first direct presidential election was held in January 2013. This term preceded by a long election campaign of candidates, persuading voters and several lawsuits. The first direct presidential election won one of the most probable winners - Miloš Zeman.

This thesis deals with the choice of ERP system from the perspective of companies engaged in the distribution of lighting signs. The theoretical part covers the concepts of ERP systems, current trends in ERP systems, different versions of these systems and the risks that may arise in this process. The practical part is focused on describing the distribution company, current ERP system that the company uses and the parameters that existing and new system have to comply. The primary aim of this thesis is to evaluate current ERP system offer on the market and to recommend the best suitable system for Dencop Lighting through decision matrix. For this part, methodology of analysis is used. The secondary aim is to asses risks that may arise in the process of changing ERP system.

The thesis analyzes the measure of academic procrastination among students and the measure of general procrastination among working population with a university degree. The thesis includes 3 studies. In study 1 an experiment was conducted on 33 students of the University of Economics in Prague. The results show, that students achieve better academic results given external, evenly distributed deadlines compared to when they are allowed to set the deadlines themselves. The second study analyses long-term data about 1909 students of the University of Economics and their academic results. The results show that procrastination can influence as much as 8% of the final grade. Study 3 analyzes information about 2487 subjects and their tax-return forms. It puts into context the dates of submission of the tax returns and personal characteristics of the submitters. The results show that procrastination declines with age. Methods on how to fight procrastination are suggested at the end of the thesis.

Because of contemporary unsatisfactory political situation in the Czech Republic, caused by presence of widespread corruption networks, many civic initiatives have been established to improve the status quo. This diploma thesis describes two NGO's, which focus on electoral system change of the lower chamber of the parliament of the Czech Republic. These organizations are Přímá volba poslanců 2014 (Direct election of Members of Parliament 2014) and electoral reform of Karel Janeček which is promoted by NGO Pozitivní evoluce (Positive evolution). The thesis is a comparative case study of these two organizations. The main goal is to do complex analysis of these two organizations, and identify interests, which lead them to pursue the electoral system change. Furthermore, basic effects of electoral systems and their changes are described. One of the chapters describes the development of the debate over the electoral system change in the past 20 years and mentions the attitude of contemporary political parties and their representatives to electoral system reform.

This article aims to analyse the process of constitute district's counsils in Czech Republic after elections in 2000 and 2004. At first it defines the theory of games, theory of rational choice and theory of coalition and it gives their interpretation. It also talks about electoral and party systems as factors which influence the formation of coalitions. Afterwards it focuses on the electoral period since 2000 and it evaluates the results of election to the representative districts in Czech Republic. It talks about the electoral period after 2004 in detail. Generally it evaluates the results of election and compares the theoretical precondition with the origin coalition. The master thesis called "Harmonization of maternity and professional life of high- income women in Prague" is focused on usage and evaluation of maternity leave promotion. The main research hypothesis is that women are more interested in promotion from the employee side (in flexible forms of work) than from the state side (finance). The author mainly considers theory of rational choice due to the author Gary S. Becker who explains changes in reproduction through this theory. As another theoretical perspectives are used relevant researches and Czech and foreign literature review. In order to fulfill the aim of the master thesis were analyzed qualitative half- structured interviews between women from a base population. The conclusion, based on this research is that women from the base population are more interested in promotion from the employee side (in flexible forms of work) than on the promotion from the state side (finance).

This thesis provides an overview of Czech astronomy education both inside and outside of school environment and develops methods to explore its possible influence on science career decision. A mixed approach was chosen for the research. Based on the first qualitative part, hypotheses and specified research questions were formulated. Consequently, the hypotheses were examined using questionnaires distributed to students of several Czech universities. However, the data analysis showed a variable stronger than involvement in astronomy education - the breadth of science interest. Possible practical outcomes and recommendations for future research are discussed.

The aim of the thesis on the topic of Self-concept in adolescence is to clarify the construct of self-concept from the perspective of personality psychology, because self-concept is an individual specific characteristic of human personality and its meaning is unquestionable. In the course of human ontogenesis, self-conception gradually develops, and forms based on acquired knowledge about itself and has its differences in each developmental period. The work is focused on the period of adolescence and therefore also presents typical features of self-concept in adolescents. The end of compulsory schooling is an important milestone in the life of adolescents, which relates to the process of choosing a profession that his work is associated with school success. The empirical part focuses on finding out whether there is a relationship between the self-concept of school success and the choice of future profession in adolescents. In this respect, it is essential that the way in which adolescents experience and evaluate their own school success can affect the career choice process.
