Dobrovolnictví mladých lidí motivace a bariéry / Volunteering of young people motivation and barriers

Volunteering is an important subject in today's society. The society as well as the volunteers themselves profit from volunteering. This thesis handles the topic of young people and volunteering. It deals with the opinion of young people about volunteering as well as with the motivations and barriers young people have in connection to volunteering. There has been a qualitative research conducted within this thesis. The method of focus group was used for it. Young people between 16 and 19 years were the target group of the research. Besides motivation and barriers it focused as well on the channels through which people get information about volunteering. There are recommendations concerning the promotion of volunteering between young people in the final part of the thesis. Those conclusions are aimed mainly for the European Year of Volunteering 2011.

Diploma thesis "Free Time Activities of Adults with Mental Disability in Prague - the Possibility of Support in the Planning and Implementation" was written with the general objective to point out this issue in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is aimed at introduction into areas, which are closely related with this issue. It deals with free time in general, characteristics of mental retardation and the adulthood of a person with intellectual disability. The final chapter, which deals specifically with leisure of people with intellectual disabilities, is based primarily on foreign studies and experience. The practical part consists of two investigations. The first was focused on finding organizations providing support to people with intellectual disabilities in leisure time and on precise determination of their activities (through interviews). A directory has been created with a list of offered individual support and group activities. In the second 18 interviews were conducted with adults with intellectual disability living in the current environment to determine how they think of their free time. The aim of this thesis is to clarify the principles of shaping the identity and image in the modern consumer society and explain the role of media in this process as well. In this thesis is used analytical comparative method. The whole work is divided into the theoretical and analytical part. The central theme of the first charter is the description of the characteristics of a modern consumer society. The second main thopic is the relationship of identity and image. In the third theoretical chapter is discussed the issue of media construction of reality. These problems are projected in the three approaches of opinion - Gilles Lipovetsky, the represenatatives of the Frakfurts School and Jean Baudrillard and finally opinion of Pierre Bourdieu. The analytical part of the thesis is concentrated on the application of the theoretical knowledge. As a specific example was selected advertising campaign Think You Can Text and Drive?, which was developed under the auspices of Oprah Winfrey, celebrity with the global reach. In the analytical part were received some essential arguments, which are summarized in the final chapter.

This thesis is focused on the phenomenon of the social exclusion to the specifications of socially excluded children. My target was to answer these questions: How children threatened by social exclusion spend their free time? Are they satisfied with these ways and do they feel any limitations to spend a free time in different way? The theoretical part I focused on the theoretical definitions of the concept of social exclusion and other theoretical related concepts like integration, social inclusion or culture of poverty. Further I was dealing with definition of free time and in addition I described briefly a town called Neratovice where children participated in my research live, visit the school or do some leisure activities. For the research, I selected a quantitative research method - four semi-standardized interviews with children threatened by social exclusion at the age of 6-11 years. In addition children drew a time schedule of their common week day and weekend day. In practical part I analyzed the data from research, compare it with the data from other researches and suggest some recommendation based on these data in theoretical context published in theoretical part. This diploma thesis deals with a leisure time of clients of the Halfway House. The aim of the thesis is to map the content and structure of their leisure time. The thesis seeks to define what the representatives of the target group need for better self realization. Based on these findings author of the thesis design a new program supporting their spending of leisure time. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part presents a halfway house social service and other programs of the civic association DOM. There are described clients' problems with integration into society. This part of the thesis focuses particularly on the origin of these problems, which mainly come from inadequate care in early childhood and bad family environment or life in an institutonal care later. All psychological and physical needs of a child are not fulfill due to poor care in early childhood and it affects his future mental development. Thesis refers to Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor (PBSP) theory created by Albert Pesso and Diane Boyden - Pesso. The aim of this paper is to describe a topic which is difficult to define, i. e. the evolution of the informal education in the Czech Republic since 1989 up to the present days, and its present situation. The paper concentrates on the organizations working with children and youth and tries to identify the important moments of the evolution of the informal education and the aspects in which this type of education may be irreplaceable. The theoretical part of the paper deals with the evolution of the citizen society, the change of the position of people in its framework and the influence of the education and leisure time on the personality of present people. The practical part is devoted to leisure activities that are provided to clients with severe mental disabilities in Liberec DH. (in English): The master thesis deals with the pedagogical influence of leisure time for people with physical and combined disabilities. The nature of the work is theoretical-empirical. The aim of this work is to find out the organization of leisure activities in the Jedlička Institute and Schools, and to approach the pedagogical influences of leisure time in this institution. Its extent, manner and impact of pedagogical influences on the physical and mental side of people with physical and combined disabilities are determined. The theoretical part is based on professional literature that deals with people with physical and combined disabilities and pedagogical influences leisure time of these people. The practical part contains mixed research, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative research was conducted through online interviews with leading educators of the Jedlička Institute and Schools and presented the specific organization of leisure activities in three sections of the Jedlička Institute and Schools - two weekly hospitals and a school club. Pavel Palička - Use of Modern Technologies in Physical Education at Schools Abstract Problem: The use of digital technologies in education is one of the possibilities how to support the pupils' motivation. Physical education (PE) offers a variable environment where various types of actual wearable technology (smart phone, tablet etc.) can be used. No integrated overview of possibilities and practical recommendations for the use of available digital technologies (DT) in physical education has been published. There is also lack of research results measuring impact of their use on everyday school practice. Hypothesis: It was hypothesized that pupils who receive innovated experimental education programme using digital technologies will have better relationship to PE and greater intrinsic motivation to exercise. Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify changes in intrinsic motivation and relationship to physical activity in physical education triggered by an experimental DT- involving education programme.
