The aim of this thesis is to design a new residential area in Roudna. This new area provides a space for 132 new building plot of land. The area is located in the southwest part of Roudna, with area of 10,58 hectares which has been designated in a municipality’s urban management plan for this particular residential development. Part of the diploma thesis is also the reconstruction of the part of Plavská Street, to which the zone is connected. It is a reconstruction of a bus stop, new sidewalk and modification of entrance to the village.

This thesis comprises the analysis of the issue concerning industrial parks in the Czech Republic with a major focus on the Strategic industrial zone Holešov. There is a description of establishment and support of industrial zones in the Czech Republic in the introductory part, afterwards being followed by the specification of the strategic industrial zones. Further is mentioned the basic socioeconomic characterization of the Zlín district. The practical part is then devoted directly to the Strategic industrial zone Holešov -- to the reasons which led to its establishment, to the particular stages of its development and subsequently to the possible outcomes it may have when being fully or minimally occupied. Parts of this work are also the basic over viewing information about the direct foreign investments and the investment incentives.

Communication via fiber optical cable (links) is the latest advancement of the transmission media currently used for data transmission. Despite initial problems, using of this medium in recent years has greatly expanded due to their indisputable advantages. Optical cable is a great combination of reliability and security of data transfer. Its constantly improving transmission parameters contribute to the high speeds in the long-distance transmission of data. In the theoretical part of this work some kinds of optical cables are mentioned, also the most important parameters and the most widely used methods of measurement of these cables. Apart from that other methods of joining optical cables and the most used types of optical cables are also mentioned. The values of the decline and reflection, which are led into the device after connecting these parts into the optical lines. The device using the measuring method of the reverse reflection is also described in this thesis altogether with its most important parts and the way of the display of the measured track on the graphic image of the device. The problematics of identification and decline dead zone and the factors influencing the lenght of dead zone – the ability to identify two independent events on the link patchcord of the variable lenght, is also described in details in this thesis. In the practical part a series of measurements and evaluation (numerical and graphical) of the measured values of decline lenghts and identificating dead zones of the OTDR device will be carried out.

This master thesis deals with the evaluation of the current state of parking on the estate Bažantnice in Hodonin, determining the required number of parking spaces according to CSN 73 6110 and CSN 73 6110 / Z1. The second part deals with the design of possible modifications of local roads. The aim is to increase the number of parking spaces in the area. A newly designed residential zone and zone tempo 30 leads to traffic calming.

The diploma thesis deals with the entrance zone objects on the holdings of Wanemi, a.s. factory. The diploma pre-thesis project dealt with urbanistic situation and the green zone – entrance area. This thesis tie together with solution of the administrative building and the presentation pavilion. The administrative building is combined with the research institute. This building offer to relax zone – terrace with perspective on the green zone and land all around. The presentation pavilion subserve as showroom for paper production and other design furniture. This object offer to examples of other paper elaboration from the home paper fabric. The pavilion join in them the process of concept, manufacturing and presentation of final product.

This thesis The Role of the Interpreter in Conflict Zones presents a general overview of some basic characteristics of interpreting in conflict zones. The theoretical part characterizes historical development of interpreting in conflict zones and describes the legal status of interpreters working in such an environment based on the international humanitarian law. The following section describes the use of interpreters in the Czech Army, examines the language training of the Czech soldiers and defines a summary of the past and current missions of the Czech Army. These descriptions serve as a basis for the empirical section of this thesis which analyzes responses of Czech soldiers represented in the questionnaire survey that aimed to clarify their experiences with interpreting in foreign missions of the Czech Army. The survey shows that the Czech soldiers appreciate the quality of interpreting in foreign missions and prefer to use the local civilian interpreters. Location and climate factors governing morphological features of ice wedge polygons in arctic zone Abstract This thesis reports the geometry of active soil and ice-wedge polygonal network located along the Canadian Arctic and in Alaska. This High Arctic periglacial environment was chosen to ensure active thermal-contraction cracking of permafrost in Holocene allowing comparison of observed ice-wedge polygons with existing climatic data. Geoinformatic software (Google Earth, ArcGIS) was used to obtain and digitalize satellite images of polygonal networks located around Eureka, Mould Bay, Churchill, Rankin Inlet, Inuvik, and Kotzebue. Defined polygonal networks were statistically analyzed in order to define predominant environmental factors controlling morphological parameters of these polygonal networks. Polygon size (overall influence computed on the basis of coefficient of determination) is determined mostly by the duration of development (18 %), frequency of cyclonic passage (17.8 %) and winter air temperature (16.1 %). Conversely, polygon regularity results mainly from nature of the substrate (21.8 %), winter wind speed (15.1 %) and snow cover thickness (12.2 %). This paper gives description of comprehensive free trade area treaties and explains them using the example of agreement between European Union and South Korea. First chapter focuses on theoretical aspects of comprehensive free trade areas. Second chapter of this paper provides analysis of the potential of Korean economy. It also describes trade strategy of South Korea as far as regionalism is concerned. The third chapter deals with the content of the agreement between EU and South Korea and analyses the potential impact of this agreement on mutual trade relations of these two partners.

V teoretické časti práce jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy, jsou zde naznačeny možnosti financování výstavby průmyslových zón a také metody jejich hodnocení. V praktické části jsou teoretické poznatky aplikovány při hodnocení průmyslové zóny Kolín-Ovčáry.

Polyphase structural evolution of superstructure and infrastructure in orogenic zones Proterozoic basement rocks of the Teplá-Barrandian Unit (TBU) are affected by two main tectono-metamorphic events. The central and SW part of the TBU is a well-preserved relict of Cadomian episode. On the other hand, the western margin of the TBU shows superposition of polyphase early-varicsan deformation and metamorphism onto the pre- variscan fabric. The Střela river profile in the northern part of Teplá Crystalline Complex (TCC) exposes a continuous crustal section through western margin of the TBU from the low-grade phyllites (near biotite izograd) in the east to the high-grade rocks of kyanite zone at the contact with high-pressure Mariánské-Lázně Complex (MLC). Three main deformation events were distinguished in the studied area and the cross-section is interpreted as a fossil (devonian) suprastructure-infrastructure transition zone preserved in the carboniferous TBU superstructure. The oldest pre-variscan D1 phase produced flat-lying metamorphic foliation showing normal metamorphic zonation from the very low-grade in the upper part to at least garnet zone in the structurally lower part.
