Title: The organizational culture of the uniform today: A qualitative study of how employees experience the police authority's organizational culture today. Level: Bachelor´s Degree project in the business administration- subject. Authors: Andreas Falk Rödjare and Filip Strömwall Supervisor: Emilia Kvarnström Date: June 2022 Purpose: The purpose of the study is to create an understanding of how employees within the police authority experience the reorganization in 2015, and how the employees experience that the work environment has responded to the change. Method: The study was conducted through qualitative semi-structured interviews with nine respondents who consist of employees within the Stockholm Region Police Authority in various positions. The work is based on a deductive approach. Results and conclusion: The results and conclusions of the study show a connection between a reorganization and its work environment, where it is important for organizations to take into account the work environment effects of a reorganization. In this case, there are also clear signs that a stable culture protects the working environment against certain negative effects due to a reorganization. The contribution of the degree project: The study contributes to the business economics subject by demonstrating a connection between reorganizations and the work environment in the public sector. In this study, a new conclusion has been drawn up, which is that a stable culture protects the work environment in the event of an organizational change. Suggestions for further research: Expand research nationally, and see if the view of reorganizations differs between cities, both within the police authority through a similar study, but also in general for re-organisations and their relationship to the work environment. Keywords: Organizational culture, reorganization, police, working environment
