The aim of this dissertation is to investigate the peculiarities of mother‘s motivation to grow only one child. During the investigation we were trying to define how much the solution to have one child is caused by social economic changes, how this evaluation of the solution varies according to the age of respondents.
The research has been carried out in the following aspects: common characteristics of investigative people, the solution to have one child according to family functions: good or poor daily circumstances, the process of bringing up and educating a child and emotional relations with a spouse. Relations of the solution to have one child with social and economic elements according to the economic rate. A saying “I have one child as I have planned“ is viewed in this paper, also the role of the government in solving the coordination problem of a family and a job and the spheres which could influence a birthrate.
150 respondents ( women ) aged 18-45 were surveyed.
Questionnaire was used in this investigation and descriptive statistical methods.
