Previous issue date: 2012-02-23 / A pesquisa “De casa para a rua e da rua para casa: implicações e interações família
e trabalho” objetivou identificar como os casais com filhos pequenos estão
organizando-se para conciliar família, vida conjugal, cuidados com os filhos e
realização profissional. A relação entre as duas esferas tem estimulado dificuldades
que aparentam ter efeitos negativos em vários níveis: saúde, bem-estar individual,
familiar e conjugal, além da produtividade no trabalho. Tal fato aponta para a
relevância desse projeto, pois ele investiga as influências de recursos externos e
internos que facilitam a compatibilidade da vida familiar e trabalho profissional.
Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo que teve como participantes 30 pais e 30 mães,
totalizando 30 casais que convivem juntos e têm filho(s) com idades entre dois e
cinco anos. Foi realizada em Santo Antonio de Jesus, cidade do interior da Bahia,
com os pais de uma escola particular. Como instrumento de coleta de dados, usouse
um questionário adaptado a partir do roteiro construído no Projeto FAMWORK.
Foram focadas as interações e conciliações família e trabalho, a partir dos
segmentos: profissão: realização, satisfação, organização e influências família e
trabalho; divisão de tarefas: conflitos e negociações para conciliar demandas
familiares e profissionais; vida familiar: relações casal e pais e filhos; conciliação:
estratégias orientadas para a vida comum e vida pessoal. Houve aprovação do
trabalho por Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Na sequência, procedeu-se o sorteio de
20,0% dos alunos matriculados na Educação Infantil da referida escola. Foi então
entregue aos pais desses alunos os questionários a serem respondidos, juntamente
com o termo de consentimento livre e esclarecido. Os dados obtidos foram
analisados utilizando o programa Satatistical Package for the Social Sciences
(SPSS). Para as questões abertas estabeleceu-se categorias a partir das respostas
encontradas. Obteve-se como resultados: os casais trabalham em turno integral,
vivenciam relações conjugais, parentais e profissionais e reconhecem interesses
individuais, enquanto desenvolvem estratégias de conciliação entre trabalho e
família. Os participantes conhecem as implicações e interações entre as duas
esferas: família e trabalho, bem como, a centralidade delas na vida pessoal. Neste
sentido, pais e mães buscam dividir tarefas familiares, apoiar-se em familiares e
apoios externos (babás, escola/instituição de educação infantil), como principais
estratégias de conciliação. Fazem revezamento de horários entre os pares,
procuram redução de carga horária de trabalho, planejam e organizam horários,
agendas e tarefas, distribuindo obrigações. As famílias têm buscado apoio familiar e
institucional para a prole e investem na babá como colaboradora na tarefa.
Finalmente, conclui-se que existe um esforço real entre os casais e profissionais
para conciliar família e trabalho. Entretanto diante da complexidade e densidade de
fatores que circulam no entorno da questão, verifica-se a necessidade de outros
estudos que aprofundem os focos salientes e ampliem os resultados aqui obtidos. / This research titled “From Home to the Street and from the Street to Home: Family
and Work Implications and Interactions has as aim to identify how couples with little
children organize themselves to conciliate family, marriage life, care with the sons
and professional fulfillment. It is characterized for being a quantitative study that has
30 (thirty) fathers and 30 (thirty) mothers as participants of the research. It was
developed in Santo Antonio de Jesus, an interior city of Bahia with parents from a
private school. The method consisted of a questionnaire adapted from the schedule
of the FAMWORK Project. It is focused family and work interactions and conciliations
from the following segments: family and work: profession, fulfillment, satisfaction,
organization and influence; division of duties: conflicts and negotiations to conciliate
families and professionals contests; family life: married couple relationships, parents
and sons; conciliations: oriented strategies to a common life and a personal life. It
has already approved by Ethics Committee of Research. There was a selection by
raffle of 20% (twenty percent) of registered students of Kindergarten of the
mentioned school. The students` parents answered the questionnaire together with
the term of free and clarified agreement. The data were analyzed by the Statistical
Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The open questions were elaborated by
categories from the given answers. The results were: couples with an eight-hour
workday, to live together establishing marriages, relatives and professional
relationships and recognizing individual interests while they develop strategies of
conciliation between work and family. The participants recognize the implications and
interactions between the two spheres: family and work and the centralization of both
for the personal life. In this sense, fathers and mothers look for to divide the family
duties with the help of relatives and external support (babysitter, school/institution of
kindergarten) as principal strategies of conciliation. They arranged to take turns
looking for to reduce the eight-hour workday, they plan and organize schedule,
agenda and duties distributing the obligations. In conclusion, there is a real effort of
both, the couples and professionals to conciliate family and work. It was observed
that they are dividing the duties but the majority of the obligations in relation to the
care with the sons, the mothers are responsible for them. The families are looking for
help from relatives and institutions and they invest in a babysitter as a helper of their
families. This verifies the necessity of other studies to become deep and extend the
results obtained in this work.
