Digitala verktyg i idrott och hälsa : En kvalitativ studie kring lärarnas använding av digitala verktyg i undervisningen / Digital tools in physical education : A qualitative study of teachers´ use of digital tools in practice

The purpose of the study is to investigate the high school teacher perception and experience of digital tools in the subject physical education. The research questions focudes on the digital competence of the teachers, their motivation to use digital tools in physical eduacation, and the advantages and disadvantages of using digital tools in teaching. The study is based on a qualitative research method, utilizing semi- structured interviews tol collect data. The data were transcribed and analyzed using coding where the most relevant results for the purpose of the study were presented. The results of the study indicated that the teachers digital competence was good. Majority of the teachers had a positive attitude and high motivation towards digital tools in teaching. The advantages of digital tools were more significant than the disadvantages. The results was interpreted based on the self-determination theory where the motivation of the teacher is a factor to which extent digital tool are used in physical education.
