IKT-pedagogers uppfattningar om IKT och digitalisering i förskolan. / ICT educators´ percweptions of ICT and digitalization in preschool.

The purpose of this study was to spread a broader understanding of ICT educators’ experiences of digital tools and professional development in preschool. ICT educators possess greater knowledge in the area then regular preschool teachers, which is why they were selected to participate in the study. The collected material was based on four interviews with four ICT educators from different municipalities. The analysis of the material was conducted using the phenomenographic approach. With its help, I was able to analyze similarities and differences in their perceptions and experiences. The result revealed that digital competence varies between municipalities and is heavily influenced by the support provided by the principal or preschool leadership. ICT educators often have to rely on themselves and navigate their own path. Depends on how far they haves progressed in their work and the support they have received, they experienced that it played a role in the competence of their colleagues. Without commitment and interest, new competence could not be created.
