Sjukvårdsfunktionen inom Försvarsmakten genomgår en stor förändring. En minskad krigsorganisation har givit möjlighet att öka ambitionsnivån i hela sjukvårdsorganisationen. Den ska ha som mål att kunna prestera samma vårdresultat som den fredstida civila sjukvården. Detta kommer att ställa stora krav på organisationen och de som arbetar inom sjukvårdsfunktionen inom Försvarsmakten. Denna uppsats behandlar hur funktionsmålsättningen implementeras och vilka konsekvenser detta får för i första hand för krigsorganisationen men även för vårt internationella engagemang. Beröringspunkter och samordningsvinster med den civila sjukvården blir allt fler i framtiden. Med en kvalitativ fallstudie, litteratur och intervjuer, visar författaren på en samstämmig syn på behovet av en förändring av sjukvårdsfunktionen men även skillnader avseende hur arbetet med införandet av den nya funktionsmålsättningen skall ske. / The Swedish Armed Forces are presently undergoing the most extensive change in its history. This will lead to a great downscaling of the whole organisation.The new goals for the Swedish Armed Forces Medical Service are set by the Surgeon General and aim to provide the same quality of treatment for the wounded in combat as for the civilian casualties in peace-time. The new set of objectives will lead to a more efficient treatment in the line of battle. The personnel active there will have the same protection as the rest of the unit.This essay treat the implementation of the new objectives for the health-care in the Swedish Armed Forces.
