as lexical forms consisting of two or more lexemes indecomposable and sedimented
by cultural tradition. The treatment of this linguistic content is directed to the intermediary and
advanced levels of teaching learning of Portuguese as Foreign Language (PLE), by the
Communicative Approach with intercultural bias, which is due to the communicative action in
which the learner constructs the meaning of the cultural traits of the target language by their
own models of experience. Therefore, it is based on assumptions of lexicology, especially in
lexicological model by Pottier (1978), interfaced with phraseological studies by Tagnin (1989)
and Lapa (1998). The selected corpus is formed by carnival marches, whose analyzes are in two
perspectives: one, in descriptive way to identify the phraseological units present in the corpus
to describe them at the syntactic-semantic level and by the criteria of conventionality and
idiomaticity, which allow to classify them as to the degree of lexicalization; Another, of textualdiscursive
way , by which the phraseological units take on the semantic load of the long time
of the symbolic representations of carnival culture in Brazil. At this stage of the analysis, we
observe the limitations of the Communicative Approach to teaching-learning of foreign
languages, regarding the reach of the symbolic meanings of the culture of the target language,
because this teaching approach is limited to the enunciation frame, without establishing
relations, according to Corrêa (2016), with the interpretative repertoires in long socio-historical
time, by interdiscursivity. It is postulated, based on the second stage of the corpus analysis, that
the lexical units, phraseological or not, it works in this textual-discursive dimension as
culturemes, semiotic and linguistic units that contain ideas of cultural and symbolic character. / Esta Dissertação tem por tema as unidades fraseológicas – coligação, colocação e
expressão idiomática- concebidas como formas léxicas constituídas por dois ou mais lexemas
indecomponíveis e sedimentados pela tradição cultural. O tratamento desse conteúdo
linguístico está direcionado aos níveis intermediário e avançado do ensino-aprendizagem de
Português Língua Estrangeira (PLE), pela Abordagem Comunicativa com viés intercultural,
que se dá pela ação comunicativa em que o aprendiz constrói a significação dos traços culturais
da língua-alvo pelos seus próprios modelos de experiência. Para tanto, fundamenta-se nos
pressupostos da Lexicologia, especialmente no modelo lexicológico de Pottier (1978), em
interface com estudos fraseológicos de Tagnin (1989) e Lapa (1998). O corpus selecionado é
formado por marchinhas de carnaval, cujas análises se dão em duas perspectivas: uma, de ordem
descritiva, pela qual identificam-se as unidades fraseológicas presentes no corpus para
descrevê-las no nível sintático-semântico e pelos critérios de convencionalidade e
idiomaticidade, que possibilitam classificá-las quanto aos graus de lexicalização; outra, de
ordem textual-discursiva, pela qual as unidades fraseológicas assumem carga semântica do
longo tempo das representações simbólicas da cultura carnavalesca no Brasil. Nessa etapa da
análise, observam-se as limitações da Abordagem Comunicativa para o ensino-aprendizagem
de línguas estrangeiras, no que diz respeito ao alcance dos sentidos simbólicos da cultura da
língua-alvo, porque essa abordagem de ensino se limita aos quadros da enunciação, sem
estabelecer relações, conforme Corrêa (2016), com os repertórios interpretativos do longo
tempo sócio-histórico, pela interdiscursividade. Postula-se, com base na segunda etapa da
análise do corpus, que as unidades léxicas, fraseológicas ou não, funcionam, nessa dimensão
textual-discursiva, como culturemas, unidades semióticas e linguísticas que contêm ideias de
