The main purpose of this study is to get an increased knowledge of the content on the Swedish website lektion.se. The study wants to find out if the content can relate to the syllabus for Swedish and the sociocultural view of learning. The questions it aims to answer are how the content of lessons in Swedish in grade 1-5 is related to the syllabus for Swedish and the sociocultural view of learning. This has been a study of text from lessons taken from the website. The study has been made with support from qualitative and quantitative analysis of text. The result shows that both a relation to the syllabus and the sociocultural view of learning is shown in the content, but in different grade. The study also shows diverseness in quality and content, which means that how the community is used, is vital for how it promotes a sociocultural view of learning and the intentions of the syllabus. Another result indicates that the discussion board rarely is used for communication about the lessons. To increase this use many problems of decoding between users of the community would be solved. Different kinds of group projects were the most common parts of the sociocultural view of learning; which indicates that this is the part in this perspective that has got most penetrating power among the teaching staff. Eventually my research shows that material with lessons that describes working with a theme, promotes the sociocultural view of learning and the intentions of the syllabus.
