Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med Sveriges länsstyrelsers klimatanpassningssamordnare har vi i denna studie identifierat flera olika aspekter som påverkar förutsättningarna för det regionala klimatanpassningsarbetet. Totalt har 14 av 21 stycken klimatanpassningssamordnare intervjuas i denna studie. Efter att samtliga intervjuer genomförts sammanställdes viktiga aspekter som informanterna delgav. Resultatet av denna studie visar på att styrningen från nationellt håll är tämligen vag. Vidare ser man brister i hur frågan har aktualiserats i andra enheter på länsstyrelsen samt hur samarbetet med kommuner och andra statliga myndigheter fungerat. En annan problematik som finns är kommunernas brist på resurser, vilket påverkar vilken grad man kan genomföra klimatanpassningsåtgärder. Denna studie visar även på att klimatanpassningssamordnarnas enhetsplacering påverkar i stor grad vilken inriktning arbetet får. Då majoriteten av klimatanpassningssamordnarna är placerade på en enhet med en inriktning mot samhällsplanering så tenderar det regionala klimatanpassningsarbetet att handla om samhällsplanering. Vidare så fastslås att länsstyrelserna har olika förutsättningar för detta uppdrag, både genom en stor variation i anslagstilldelning men även utsattheten för klimatförändringar påverkar arbetet. / Through qualitative interviews with climate adaptation coordinators at Sweden's county administrative boards, this study identified several aspects that affect the prerequisites for the regional climate adaptation work. 14 out of the 21 climate adaptation coordinators were interviewed in this study. After the interviews were conducted, we compiled important aspects that the informants shared. The results of this study shows that the national governance is rather vague. We can also see a weakness in how the question has come to the fore in other units at the county administrative boards as well as how the cooperation with municipalities and other governmental agencies has worked out. Another problem that exists is that the municipalities' lack of resources, which affects the degree to which they can implement climate adaptation actions. This study also shows that the climate adaptation coordinators unit placement affects, in large degree, in what way the question regarding climate adaption is handled. As the majority of climate adaptation coordinators are placed in a unit with a specialization in community planning, the Swedish regional climate adaptation work tends to focus on community planning. Furthermore, we establish that all the county administrative boards have different prerequisites for this task, through both a large variation in the allocation of funds, but also in vulnerability to climate change.
