Jämställdhet och Mångkultur : En frameanalys av tre debatter

The purpose of this essay is to examine which perspective that dominates the political debates surrounding equality and diversity in Sweden. The theoretical framework used consists of three ideal types. These are the intersectional perspective, the cultural perspective and the white middle feminism class perspective. Operationalizing the theoretical framework with idealtypes, using Benford and Snowś first two principles in their frame analysis framework, which is the diagnostic and prognostic, as a method, I study the biggest political parties in Sweden due to their legislation and influence power within the field of equality and diversity. The analysis of the study shows that the culture perspective is dominating all the chosen debates, though it also shows that some political parties takes a more passive participation. The white middle class perspective is also visible in two of the three chosen debates, and the intersectional perspective is merely shown in two debates.
