The aim of this study is to investigate the social workers view of what children who have experienced violence needs and their possibilities to receive support. Domestic violence is a problem in our society and the children’s exposure to this problem needs attention. Through qualitative interviews with social workers in a sheltered accommodation, this study can contribute further knowledge in this issue. The results indicate that children have various needs and that there are many different factors that play a part in children’s need for support. Furthermore, the results show that there is a lack of knowledge about domestic violence within the social servicesand there are a number of different obstacles that stands in the way for the children’s possibilities to receive support.
