Este trabalho se propõe a discutir as questões de gênero e identidade presentes nas narrativas das histórias de vida de mulheres que frequentaram o Ensino Fundamental da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) em uma escola pública da periferia do município de Hortolândia, SP. Utilizando-se a metodologia da história oral, foram feitas entrevistas que procuraram perpassar temas peculiares ao universo feminino no tocante à educação desse público, de modo a investigarmos como a escola influenciou as mulheres-sujeitos da pesquisa, de que forma suas relações sociais e afetivas dentro da escola interferiram na construção de suas identidades e as implicações das determinações sociais de gênero em sua busca por instrução. Ao analisar a trajetória de vida destas mulheres, esta pesquisa pretende entender qual o valor atribuído à educação por essas alunas e como ou se ela representou ou representa alguma mudança para as educandas naquilo que se refere aos papéis sociais tradicionalmente impostos às mulheres, que se reflete em alguns dos obstáculos enfrentados por elas cotidianamente. / Abstract:
This paper aims to discuss the issues of gender and identity present in the narratives of life stories of women who attended the elementary school of Education for Youth and Adults in a public school on the outskirts of the city of Hortolândia, São Paulo, SP.
Using the methodology of oral history, interviews were made trying to reach specific issues found in the feminine universe in relation to their education and in order to investigate how the school influenced the women from these research. Moreover to identify how their social and emotional relationships inside the school interfered with the construction of their identities and what caused them socially to search for education. By analyzing the trajectory of these women's lives, this research aims to understand what was the value assigned to education from these students and how or if they represented any change to all of the students regarding to the traditional social role imposed on women, which are reflected in some of the obstacles they face daily. / Mestrado / Politicas, Administração e Sistemas Educacionais / Mestra em Educação
