The aim of this study is to investigate discursive positions that are made about lgbt-people in study books for upper secondary school in the religious studies subject. The study uses a critical discourse analysis to uncover how textual formations as well as textual structures shape a discourse that impacts lgbt-people. The study shows that there are some issues at hand concerning the way that the course books present lgbt-people and -themes. The study does show that there are some differences between books produced before and after the implementation of gy11 curriculum which can indicate some changes in the discursive practices which lgbt-people can benefit from.
