Vårdadminiatratör som attraktiv arbetsroll : Vårdadministratörernas betydelse inom hälso- och sjukvården

Background Today's healthcare administrators have a broad professional role with several tasks and with education spread throughout the country to be able to meet the increased need for administrative expertise in healthcare and the profession has changed markedly since the 1920s. Purpose The purpose of the study is to investigate the importance of care administrators in health careand how other treating care professions perceive care administrators as an asset in their daily work, but also whether there are similarities and differences in the perception of care administration among different treating care professions. Method We used both quantitative and qualitative methods in the data collection, in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The interviews were then compiled in a text analysis where we extracted the important keywords to analyze the results. Conclusion After compiling the information we have collected during our work on our thesis, we have concluded that the care administrator is a well-liked, appreciated and necessary professional role for the entire workflow in healthcare. The integrity of their work and the trust that their colleagues give them are of a very high standard. Healthcare administrators bring both administrative expertise and an information hub where other treating healthcare professionals finds a sense of comfort and security when it comes to information and where to find it. The care administrators also increase the security of patients in terms of minimizing errors that may occur in medical records and lowering the waiting time when the need to visit the hospital arises /
Examen i vårdadministration, YH-utbildning: 20 Yh-poäng
