I barnets skolgång har fritiden och den sociala miljön lika betydelse som den skolmässiga utbildningen för barnets utveckling. Detta undersöker jag genom att studera de rumsliga relationerna mellan skolans funktioner och de mellanrum som ges åt fritidsaktiviteter. Genom att dela upp och koncentrera olika funktioner i separata huskroppar kan dessa arrangeras på ett sätt som genererar en mångfald av dynamiska gårdsrum där barnets individuella intressen får utrymme att utvecklas samtidigt som tomtytan kan utnyttjas maximalt. Huskropparna knyts samman med en pergolagång som skapar kommunikation mellan skolans funktioner. I den tektoniska gestaltningen sökte jag efter ett formspråk som uttrycker enhetlighet i den uppdelade kompositionen. Därför lät jag pergolans utformning vara grund till byggnadernas stomme. Byggnaderna har en tegelfasad och trästomme. Jag har arbetat med hur dessa två element kan samspråka och kom fram till ett sätt där stomsystemet ger avtryck i fasaden och kan uttydas både från utsidan och från insidan. / During the schooling years leisure time and the social environment has equal importance as the education for the young student’s development. This statement is examined in this project by studying the spatial relations between the schools functions and the spatial gaps given to leisure activities. In dividing and concentrating different functions in separate buildings can the composition generate a variety of dynamic schoolyards in the area where the student’s unique interests are given space to be fostered, while the given area is being fully exploited. The buildings are being connected using a pergola walkway which creates a communication between the school’s functions. The constructional design was motivated by searching for a unity in expression to uniformity in the divided composition. Thus the pergola was the generating factor for the wooden frame construction used in the buildings. In exploring the use of two elements, a wooden frame together with a brick façade I found an expression which allowed the wooden frame to be experienced both on the outside and inside while covered by the brick façade.
