Sweden is considered a pioneering country when it comes to gender equality. However, we still see differences between men and women in working life, including in terms of salaries, managerial positions and working hours. In this study, we examine a number of other factors of working life that are interesting from a gender equality perspective. The essay examines experiences of autonomy, career opportunities, work-family conflict and work intensity, using factor analysis and regression analysis. We use both theories and previous research to get a deeper understanding of the four aspects. Small differences between men and women were found in autonomy and work intensity, while in experiences of career opportunities and work-family conflict we could not observe any differences.
