Behovet inom FM att transportera militära förband i fredstid inför en övning eller vid mobilisering, har alltid varit stort inom Sverige. I och med att FM ominriktades så uppstod bl.a. förändringar av förbandstyper. Detta i kombination med den tekniska utvecklingen på civil och militär sida, kommer troligen att medföra både problem och möjligheter vid transport av militära förband i framtiden. Uppsatsens syfte är att analysera vilka möjligheter FM kan komma att ställas inför, avseende utnyttjande av civil och militär transportutrustning i framtiden. Samt analysera vilka problem som främst militära specialfordon kan medföra avseende transport på civil eller militär utrustning. Uppsatsen har skrivits utifrån systemteorin där jag tittar på funktionerna landtransporter landsväg, landtransporter järnväg, sjötransporter, flygtransporter flygplan och flygtransporter helikopter. Samtliga funktioner har sedan kopplats ihop med de beroende variablerna internationell transportpolitik, nationell transportpolitik, civil utveckling och militär utveckling. Utifrån detta har gjorts en analys som bl.a ger följande slutsats: Tendensen för framtida förbandstransporter är att områdena fartygs- och järnvägstransporter kommer att stå för den största utvecklingen, och på detta sätt skapa nya transportalternativ för försvarsmakten mot 2010. / The need of transportation of military units, either for exercise or at mobilisation has always been large in Sweden. When the Swedish Armed Forces changed their roll during the nineties from a traditional invasion defence to a stand-by defence, for example some new military unit’s were created. In combination with the technical development on both civilian and military side, it will probably create both problems and opportunities with transport of military units in the future.The purpose with this paper is to analyse which probabilities the Armed Forces could meet when they use either civilian or military equipment in the future. I shall also analyse what problems the military special vehicles can bring due to transportation on military or civilian equipment. The paper is written with the ”system-theory”, where I specially watch the functions Roadtransport, Traintransport, Seatransport, Aircrafttransport and Helicopter-transport. Every function is studied from the four point’s international transportpolitics, national transportpolitics, civilian development and military development. When I analyse this materiel I will find my conclusions and one of them are: The tendencies for future transport of military units, are that the ship- and railroad equipment will make the biggest development to 2010.
