O mito da via gem ] (1915), do escritor austríaco Robert Müller (1887 - 1924). A duplic idade do título - trópicos e tropo (gr. trópos) - fundamenta o diálogo interdisciplinar aqui proposto, entre elemento geográfico e a linguagem em seu sentido metafórico. Entretanto, o ob jetivo principal é descrever e analisar a geografia mülleriana observada no referido romance a partir do espaço mítico que aí se pressupõe . Primeiro, foram necessárias uma apresentação sobre a vida e o conjunto da obra de Müller, bem como uma extensa apresentação crítica do romance, dada a ausência de traduções, e a explanação de caráter histórico - geográfico que conforma a aqui chamada espac ialidade contextual do romance. Em seguida, a devida compreensão de abordagem literária, a relação entre espaço e literatura nos estudos literários e o estado da arte em dado conjunto de pesquisas sobre o diálogo entre literatura e geografia alinhavam a qu estão da pesquisa que ampara o objetivo principal . Dados referenciais, devidamente identificados também com ajuda do capítulo anterior, sobrepujam no romance o elemento primitivo, que defendemos constituir o elemento mítico. A linguagem, na relação intríns eca com tal elemento, conforma o espaço mítico, alvo de uma viagem mítica a emular o universo pré - linguístico ou do caos das impressões. Esse painel, delineado então pelo mito e pela linguagem, leva ao diálogo profícuo com a filosofia de Ernst Cassirer (18 74 - 1945). O resultado é não só uma hermenêutica do romance de Müller a interpretá - lo como uma geografia possível, é também a proposição metodológica do diálogo interdisciplinar ora em foco que leva em conta elementos filosóficos que, por seu turno, tornam geografia e literatura mais próximas do que quer em sua s respectivas delimitaç ões disciplinar es e institucionais . Der Mythos der Reise [Tropics. The myth of the travel] (1915), by the Austrian writer Robert Müller (1887 - 1924). The duplicity of the title - meaning both "tropic" (singular) and "tropo" (plural) in German - is the basis of the interdisciplinary dialog suggested here between geographical aspects and language in a metaphorical sense. The main goal, however, is to describe and analyze the Müllerian geography observed in his novel by presupposing its mythical sp ace. First, we contextualize Müller's life and work at the same time we present a long critical description of his novel - mainly due to the lack of translations of his work - , besides introducing a historical and geographical explanation addressed by us as "contextual spatiality of the novel". Further, the research question that supports the main goal is pursued by the appropriate comprehension of the literary approach, i.e. the relation between space and literature in literary studies and the state of ar t of the dialog between literature and geography based on a certain amount of researches. Referentialities - also identified with the aid of the previous chapter - emphasize the primitive element in Müller's novel that constitute the mythical element. Lang uage, interwoven with this element, shapes the mythical space, which is the goal of a mythical travel that emulates the prelinguistic universe, or the universe of the impressions chaos. This scenario, which is traced by mythos and language, leads to a prod uctive dialogue with Ernst Cassirer's philosophy. The result from such dialogue is not only a hermeneutic of Müeller's Tropics , in which his novel is seen as a possible geography, but also a methodological proposition for the interdisciplinary dialogue em pahsized throughout this study, which takes in account the philosophical elements that acknowledge the connections between geography and literature beyond their simple disciplinary and institutional delimitation. Der Mythos der Reise (1915) des österreichischen Schriftstellers Robert Müller (1887 - 1924). Die Doppeldeutigkeit des Titels - Tropen als stilistischer Ausdruck und geographische Markierung - erklärt den hier vorgeschlagenen interdisziplinären Dialog zwischen dem geographischem Element und der Sprache im metaphorischen Sinne. Das Hauptziel ist, die Geographie des oben erwähnten Romanes zu be schreiben und zu analysieren, die sich vom dort vorausgesetzten mythischen Raum ablesen lässt. Die Arbeit beginnt mit einer Vorstellung von Leben und Werk des Autors und - da es keine Übersetzung der Müllerschen Texte gibt - mit einer umfassenden kritische n Zusammenfassung des Romans, sowie einer historisch - geographischen Erläuterung, die die so genannte kontextuelle Spazialität im Roman bildet. Dann wird die Forschungsfrage ausgehend vom Verständnis des literarischen Ansatzes, der Beziehung zwischen Raum u nd Literatur in der Literaturwissenschaft und dem State of the Art des Dialoges zwischen Literatur und Geographie von einer Reihe von wissenschaftlichen Veröffentlichungen behandelt. Bezüge zur Wirklichkeit, die sich mithilfe des vorhergehenden Kapitels id entifizieren lassen, heben im Roman das primitive Element, das hier das mythische bildet, hervor. Die Sprache und ihre enge Verknüpfung mi t diesem Element gestalten den mythischen Raum, eigentlich das Ziel einer mythischen Reise, die die vorsprachliche Wel t oder diejenige des Chaos der Eindrücke darstellt. Dieses vom Mythos und von der Sprache entworfene Szenario führt zu einem fruchtbaren Dialog mit der Philosophie Ernst Cassirers (1874 - 1945). Das Ergebnis ist nicht nur eine Hermeneutik von Tropen , die den Roman als eine mögliche Geographie interpretiert, sondern auch die methodologische Proposition des hier in Frage stehenden interdisziplinären Dialogs, die philosophische Elemente in Betracht zieht, die ihrerseits Geographie und Literatur einander näher bringen über die jeweiligen disziplinäre n und institutionelle n Grenzen hinaus .
