Previous issue date: 2014-06-03 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / A presente pesquisa investigou, através da Etnocenologia como Práticas e Comportamentos Humanos Espetaculares Organizados-PCHEO, o cortejo fúnebre abadiense do Frete, identificando seus participantes, regras, simbologia e possível origem no Município de Curuçá-PA. Constituiu-se em um estudo qualitativo de cunho etnográfico, no qual a artista-pesquisadora-participante realizou entrevistas não estruturadas, pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, com registros fotográficos e fílmicos antes, durante e após o fenômeno. A investigação aponta a possível semelhança do Frete com o Funeral Barroco registrado em Curuçá no século XIX. À organização do funeral, veem-se características de uma irmandade reconfigurada no século XXI e a inauguração de um papel social, a Dona do Frete, que só existe na povoação São João do Abade. Objetivou-se contribuir para estudos da Etnocenologia compreendendo os elementos que compõem o fenômeno a partir dos seus praticantes, a relação do artista-pesquisador-participante que vive e reflete sobre o objeto investigado, a Espetacularidade e a compreensão do Frete como forma espetacular extracotidiana pertencente à tradição abadiense e à cultura curuçaense. / The present research investigated by Etnocenologia as Practice and human behavior – PCHEO, Organized the Spectacular funeral procession freight abadiense, identifying its participants, rules, symbolism and possible origin in the municipality of Curuçá-PA. Consisted in a qualitative study of ethnographically, in which the artist-researcher-participant conducted unstructured interviews, documentary and bibliographical research, with photographic and filmic records before, during and after the phenomenon. Research points to a possible resemblance of ocean freight with the Baroque Funeral registered in Curuçá in the 19th century. The organisation of the funeral, see characteristics of a brotherhood reconfigured in the 21st century and the inauguration of a social role, the owner of freight, which only exists in the Village St. John of the Abbot. Objective contribute to the studies of Etnocenologia comprising the elements that comprise the phenomenon from its practitioners, the relationship of the artist-researcher-participant who lives and reflects on the investigated object, the spectacular nature and understanding of freight as spectacular fashion extracotidiana belonging to the abadiense tradition and culture curuçaense.
