Gente Sergipana. Para compreendermos as relações entre os processos identitários, o poder e as contribuições da instituição nessa construção de identidade local, analisamos a criação e
suas representações, elementos que contribuíram com os nossos resultados que foram muito mais além. / When we are discussing the crisis of identity, what would motivate the creation of an institution that aims to help build a local identity? Backed by questions like this and on a theoretical framework that analyzes since the time of the identities to the materialisation of a policy statement based on cultural consumption as a strategy to achieve this goal, we completed our research whose object is the Museum of the People of Sergipe. To understand the relationships between identity processes and the power and the contributions of this institution building local identity, we analyze the creation and its representations, elements that have contributed to our results that were far beyond.
