[pt] A presente tese procura desvelar na filosofia de Martin Heidegger a questão da representação nas artes visuais. O pensamento acerca da arte em Heidegger se desvincula da estética, visto que ele se distancia de qualquer maneira de lidar com a arte enquanto objeto de apreciação subjetiva do ser humano. Assim, apresento uma exposição da crítica da metafísica e do pensamento da representação empreendidas pelo filósofo, principalmente nos domínios da arte. Com este propósito investigo a própria obra de arte, retomando e desenvolvendo questões fundamentais no pensamento heideggeriano, como o conceito de ser e de verdade. No ensaio A Origem da Obra de Arte, a concepção de verdade surge como abertura originária e desvelamento e a arte é pensada como formadora e transformadora de mundo. A história da arte é compreendida então como uma história de descontinuidade, na qual cada mudança é uma ruptura, um espaçamento que faz origem, que abre um novo mundo. Assim é próprio da arte desvelar a verdade de uma época histórica. O passo seguinte é dado ao abordar o escrito Sobre a Sistina, em que Heidegger traz importantes elementos para a reflexão sobre a arte e a crítica da estética. Por fim, remeto-me aos escritos em que Heidegger trata da questão da escultura e de sua relação com o espaço: Observações sobre Arte - Escultura - Espaço e A Arte e o Espaço. Aqui investigo as noções de espaço e lugar na obra do filósofo e o modo que elas dialogam com as obras dos escultores Eduardo Chillida e Benhard Heiliger. Em um último esforço, reflito sobre como a arte possibilitaria um pensamento não representativo. Na arte temos espaço para um novo tipo de pensamento, não mais ordenador e calculante, mas poético, do permanente devir do ser que faz parte da sua essência originária. Em suma, procura-se neste estudo articular o pensamento heideggeriano com uma análise orientada pelas artes visuais aprofundando a questão da representação e da crítica à metafísica. / [en] This thesis seeks to reveal, in Martin Heidegger s philosophy, the issue of representation in the visual arts. Thinking about art in Heidegger departs from the aesthetic, since he distances himself of any form of dealing with art as an object of subjective appreciation of the human being. Thus, I present a critique of the metaphysics and the thought of representation undertaken by the philosopher, mainly in the fields of art. For this purpose I investigate the work of art itself, resuming and developing fundamental issues in Heidegger s thought, as the concept of being and of truth. In the essay The Origin of the Work of Art, the conception of truth emerges as an original opening and unveiling, and art is thought as creating and transforming the world. The history of art is then understood as the history of discontinuity, in which each change is a breach, a gap that originates a new world. Therefore the art typically reveals the truth of a historical era. The next step is taken by addressing the writing About Sistine, where Heidegger brings important elements for reflection on criticism and aesthetics. Finally, I refer to the writings in which Heidegger comes to the subject of sculpture and its relationship to space: Observations on Art - Sculpture - Space and The Art and Space. Here I investigate the concepts of space and place in the work of the philosopher, and the way they relate with the works of sculptors Eduardo Chillida and Benhard Heiliger. In one last attempt, I reflect on how art would allow an unrepresentative thought. In art there is space for a new kind of thinking, not orderly and systematic anymore, but poetic, from the continuous transformation of the being that belongs to its original essence. In summary, this study seeks to articulate Heidegger s thought with an analysis guided by the visual arts, getting more in depth in the matters of representation and metaphysics critique.
