[en] TRUTH AND ETHICS IN THE THOUGHT OF MARTIN HEIDEGGER / [pt] VERDADE E ÉTICA NO PENSAMENTO DE MARTIN HEIDEGGERDANIEL SIMAO NASCIMENTO 13 June 2007 (has links)
[pt] A tentativa é a de pensar verdade e ética no pensamento de
Heidegger.
[en] The attempt is to think truth and ethics in Heidegger´s
thought. Starting from there, we defend the existence of a
structural ethical trace in all of Heidegger´s work, as of
a specific ethical investigation that can be found in his
texts on dwelling. These, on their turn, must be read
together with his texts about the question of tecnology.
Therefore, what this work seizes to establish is the
existence of an ethical concern in the centern of
Heidegger´s work.

[en] FREEDOM AND TRUTH IN THE DESCARTES PHILOSOPHY / [pt] LIBERDADE E VERDADE NA FILOSOFIA CARTESIANALUCIANO DA SILVA SANTOS 10 December 2003 (has links)
apresentada. / [en] This work aims at analyzing the concepts of freedom and
truth present in the philosophical work of René Descartes.
In a first moment, I propose a new possibility of
interpreting the concept of freedom and, afterwards, an
investigation of possible occurrences of conceptual
problems involving the concept of truth when related with
that new concept of freedom.

[pt] DE ABISMOS A VERDADES: NIETZSCHE E A TAREFA DE TRAZER A ARTE À VIDA / [en] FROM ABYSSES TO TRUTHS: NIETZSCHE AND THE TASK OF LEADING ART TO LIFEDANIELE CONCEIÇÃO SCARINCI PINTO DA CRUZ 27 September 2016 (has links)
intervenção filosófica no valor concedido à arte enquanto criação voltada à vida.
valores. / [en] Beyond all his critical efforts, in this paper we search for what is assertive
in Nietzsche s thought, placing the specificity of his philosophical intervention on
the value granted to art, thought of as creation over life itself. With the declared
interest of acting as a healer to modern civilization, he proposes a manner of
thinking in which truths are no longer opposed to lies; a reality where appearences
are the condition to essences; and a conception of man whose artifices can belong
to nature. We explore this extramoral approach of experience suggested by the
philosopher as theories that endorse and promote his praise of creative activity.
Thereby, we try to outline the changes surrounding his notion of truth and the
manners of search for this truth, now approached beyond transcendental
oppositions. Amidst his battle against metaphysical dogmatism, Nietzsche will
propose a new way of affirming values.

[fr] LA MÉTAPHYSIQUE DU LANGAGE DANS DE MAGISTRO DE SAINT AGUSTIN / [pt] A METAFÍSICA DA LINGUAGEM NO DE MAGISTRO DE SANTO AGOSTINHOALEX CAMPOS FURTADO 16 August 2005 (has links)
A brevidade do
aprofundarmos melhor no pensamento do santo as reais
Cristo ilumina o interior do
homem.

[en] THE PROBLEM OF THE TRUTH IN LEGAL PROCESS: THE RELATION BETWEEN FACT AND EVIDENCE / [pt] O PROBLEMA DA VERDADE NO PROCESSO: A RELAÇÃO ENTRE FATO E PROVAJANAINA ROLAND MATIDA 21 September 2017 (has links)
Aceitabilidade. / [en] Establishing the truth is one of the aims of the legal process. The search for the truth is taken up by the judge who, in order to arrive at a decision, has to decide, among the allegations of the parts involved, which are true and which are false, distinguishing the narratives that refer to existing facts from those that only assert putative facts. The judge fulfills the epistemological role which law must also face up to. Hence the importance of taking account of the evidence as the basis for justifying the decision as well as understanding the underlying types of reasoning required for this activity. The judge must not be a victim of a naive realism. He must be aware that most of the time he is making use of inductions and therefore his conclusions, albeit based on true premises, are never necessary, characterizing only one possible response. It is of the utmost importance to recognize the need for explicit justification of the decisions taken. Decisions require arguments capable of persuading the parts involved, as well as anyone who is interested in the process, of its acceptability.

[en] THE FICTIONS OF MICHEL FOUCAULT S PHILOSOPHY / [pt] AS FICÇÕES DA FILOSOFIA DE MICHEL FOUCAULTJEAN DYEGO GOMES SOARES 27 November 2018 (has links)
[en] How do we affirm that Foucault does Philosophy? Which kind of philosophy is it and how is it set? Permeated for questions like these, this work defends the thesis that Foucault does philosophy by fictions. A wide term, it suggests a non-traditional relationship the author estabilishes with the practice of history of philosophy. The reason is his treatment of philosophical thematics and questions linked with a different understanding about history, as well his other approach to the traditional aim of philosophy – the truth –, as we hope to show by choicing to talk about fictions. Thanks to a particular reading of two methodological points of view - Kant s critical project and Nietzschean genealogical approach, Foucault drafts innovator strategies to comprehend the way in which truths shapes subjectivities. Taking it in account, we put lights
(and shadows?) in a new way of writting the history which implies a different way of thinking philosophy, once one of his most continuos interests would be inquiry the games of truth. After essaying many of his fictions – from his encyclopedias to his way to comprehend the Antiquity, passing through many characters and perspectives about philosophy -, we hope to stress certain freedom and liberation of thought into his books, writtings and speechs, facing traps and stalemates naturalized by traditional pratices, as well as challenging the common-sense of Foucault s readings.

[en] IN THE WHIRLPOOL OF HISTORY: A STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP OF TRUTH AND LANGUAGE IN WALTER BENJAMIN / [pt] NO REDEMOINHO DA HISTÓRIA: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A RELAÇÃO ENTRE A VERDADE E LINGUAGEM EM WALTER BENJAMINMARIA CLARA CAVALCANTI DE ABREU 27 January 2009 (has links)
compreender a
dissertação estuda parte do
românticos a partir do estudo
[en] Throughout his work, Walter Benjamin was concerned with
understanding the
proper form of philosophical thought and its expression.
Thus, he attributed extreme
importance to the exercise of this form in the language of
philosophy, more
specifically in its writing. Thought, according to Benjamin,
returns to the beginning
and, thus comes back with minutiae to the thing itself. The
motivation of
philosophical language starts from the constant return to
micrologic. This language
can find access to truth by renouncing its intention and
being willing to detour. This
dissertation studies part of the unfolding of this problem
in Benjamin: what is the
form of expression proper to philosophy, or what is the
relationship between form
and content in philosophical language. With this purpose, we
try to expose the
foundations of Benjamin's conception of language; his
emphasis on the
comprehension of form in the first romantics from the
perspective of his study on
their concept of criticism; finally, we arrive at the
question of the relationship
between truth and history based on the concepts of monad and
origin.

[en] STARTING WITH PLAY: UNDERSTANDING AND LANGUAGE IN GADAMER / [pt] COMEÇANDO PELO JOGO: COMPREENSÃO E LINGUAGEM EM GADAMERFLAVIA DIAS DE OLIVEIRA FERRARI 03 August 2010 (has links)
principal obra do filósofo alemão Hans-Georg Gadamer.
[en] The present paper is a study on Truth and Method, the main work of the
German philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer. When it comes to the phenomenom of
understanding (Verstehen) as the object of his thought, Gadamer explains us that
the hermeneutics he intends to develop constitutes an attempt to understand the
truth of human sciences, beyond their methodological self-consciousness, as well
as, what links such sciences to the whole of our world experience. One of the
central themes developed in this work, straightly linked to the question of
understanding, is the concept of play (Spiel), known as an event that happens
beyond the subjectivities involved in it. According to Gadamer, the universal
scope and the ontological dimension of play should not be ignored. Therefore, we
will try to show in this work that to play and to understand are interchangeable
elements in Gadamer´s thought, inasmuch as to think about the connectedness of
play-understanding is to realize that the structure of understanding demands
one to surrender oneself to the situation in which the subjectivity is no longer the
determinant instance regarding the moment of understanding.

[en] WALTER BENJAMIN AND THE INTENSITY OF HISTORY / [pt] WALTER BENJAMIN E A INTENSIDADE DA HISTÓRIAJULIA RIPOLL EIZIRIK 17 February 2006 (has links)
[pt] O objetivo desta dissertação é compreender o trabalho do
historiador,
A idéia é Ser
porque arrasta
consigo elementos materiais. Isso não significa, todavia,
que ela possa então ser
encontrada no mundo empírico. Pelo contrário, os elementos
materiais só se
apresentam para a faculdade mimética. Ela é capaz de
perceber semelhanças entre
elementos aparentemente heterogêneos, colocando-os em um
estado de tensão. A
encontramos a verdade
histórica. / [en] The objective of this dissertation is to understand the
task of the historian,
according to Walter Benjamin, as the construction of an
interpretation. Although
constructed, interpretation is not arbitrary - it must be
capable to present historical
truth. To accomplish such task, the interpretation should
get closer to
philosophical contemplation. The object of contemplation
is the idea, that should
not be understood as something restricted to the scope of
thought, but as Being.
The idea is Being because it carries material elements
inside. This does not mean,
however, that it could be found in empirical world. On the
contrary, material
elements appears only for the mimetic faculty. This
faculty is capable to perceive
similarities between elements apparently heterogeneous,
placing them in a tension
state. The idea is the image formed by this configuration,
in which it is found
historical truth.
