Este trabalho estudou alguns programas e atividades de coleta seletiva de materiais recicláveis presentes nos resíduos sólidos urbanos. Foram selecionados quatro programas municipais oficiais (São Sebastião, São José dos campos, Santos e São Paulo) e dois trabalhos de organização espontânea (Favela Monte Azul e COOPAMARE/Cooperativa dos Catadores de Papel, Aparas e Materiais Recicláveis de São Paulo). Levantaram-se as formas de implantação das diferentes experiências em estudo e de mobilização das suas respectivas comunidades. Constatou-se que, apesar das variações encontradas nos diferentes casos, o envolvimento das comunidades foi significativo, fornecendo excelente oportunidade de percepção do espaço urbano e do exercício da cidadania, assim como da prática da máxima ambiental ista \"Pense globalmente, aja localmente\". Constatou-se ainda, que, pela complexidade do tema, é fundamental garantir a todas as pessoas envolvidas e interessadas o acesso às informações técnicas claras e precisas, assim como às práticas que motivem a participação de todos e ressaltem a importância do trabalho conjunto. Concluiu-se que, apesar do bom resultado dessas iniciativas, devem ser buscadas e enfatizadas ações que promovam maior integração entre os vários segmentos da sociedade (catadores, populacão, empresários, políticos, artistas, meios de comunicação, instituicões de ensino, entidades religiosas, etc). Deve-se priorizar práticas realmente integradoras e holísticas, capazes de promover a real prevenção da poluição, através da minimizacão de resíduos, isto é, de sua diminuição, a partir da reducão na fonte, reutilização e reciclagem. / This work consisted of a study of activities and programs of selective collection of recycled materials from urban solid waste. The study is based on four official municipal programs (São Sebastião, São José dos Campos, Santos and São Paulo) and two programs of spontaneous organization (Favela Monte Azul and COOPAMARE). This work analyzed the ways of implementation of the referred different experiences and the mobilization of their respective communities. It was verified that despite the observed variation in the different cases, the involvement of the communities was significant, providing an excellent opportunity of perception of the urban space and the practice of citizenship, as well as the environmentalist maximm \"Think globally, act locally\". It was also verified that due to the complexity of the subject, it is essential to ensure that all the people involved and interested have access to clear and precise technical information as well as to practices that stimulate participation and enhance the importance of collective work. It was concluded that despite the good results of the referred initiatives, one must pursue and emphasize actions which encourage integration among different members of society (population, business people, politicians, artists, media, educational institutions, religious groups, etc). One must also emphasize holistic and integrated practices, in order to promote a real pevention of pollution, with waste minimization through reduction in the sources, reuse and recycling.

Esta pesquisa propõe uma abordagem de gestão de acervos em rede para três instituições públicas na cidade de Santo André, a saber: Museu de Santo André Dr. Octaviano Armando Gaiarsa, Casa do Olhar Luiz Sacilotto e Sabina Parque Escola do Conhecimento. O ponto de partida que determinou a seleção destes equipamentos culturais para que na relação entre eles pudesse se aplicar o objeto de estudo desta pesquisa foi o fato de, em comum, todos servirem à população da cidade de Santo André e possuírem acervos que necessitam de procedimentos museológicos. Qual o papel da gestão e da cadeia operatória museológica para estes acervos? Como resposta a esta pergunta se propõe a hipótese que a adoção da prática da gestão museológica, articulada em rede, respeitando a autonomia das instituições, garantiria sua preservação, asseguraria a execução adequada de recursos e o acesso público ampliado. Também uma premissa que deve ser posta é o fato de uma instituição possuidora de acervo gerar uma demanda pela gestão museológica do mesmo, o que justifica a inclusão da Casa do Olhar Luiz Sacilotto e da Sabina Parque Escola do Conhecimento na pesquisa. Por fim, pela sua natureza, a linha de pesquisa que orienta o projeto é a de Teoria e Método da Gestão Patrimonial e dos Processos Museológicos. / This research proposes a network management approach for collections of three public institutions in the city of Santo André, namely: Museu de Santo André Dr. Octaviano Armando Gaiarsa, Casa do Olhar Luiz Sacilotto and Sabina Parque Escola do Conhecimento. The starting point which determined the selection of these cultural facilities and apply them the object of study was the fact that, in common, all serve the population of the city of Santo André and have collections that require Museum procedures. What is the role of museum management and operative chain for these collections? In response to this question proposes the hypothesis that the adoption of the practice of museum management, articulated in the network, while respecting the autonomy of the institutions, would guarantee their preservation, would ensure the proper implementation of resources and public access. Also a premise that should be made is the fact that an institution be possessor of acquis generates a demand for museological management of same, what justifies the inclusion of Casa do Olhar Luiz Sacilotto and Sabina Parque Escola do Conhecimento in research. Finally, by its nature, the line of research that guides the project is the Theory and Method of Asset Management and Museological Processes.

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo traçar um panorama da vida do poeta Murilo Mendes na Europa entre as décadas de 1950 e 1970, através das cartas enviadas por ele a sua irmã Virgínia Mendes Torres. Com base na análise desse conjunto epistolar é possível refazer parte da trajetória do poeta mineiro que transplantado em território estrangeiro atuou nos meios acadêmico, literário e artístico, representando o Brasil e construindo sua própria vertente do modernismo brasileiro. / The current work aims to draw a prospect of the poet Murilo Mendes life in Europe among the decades of 1950 and 1970, through the letters sent by him and his sister Virgínia Mendes Torres. Considering the analysis of that epistolary group is possible to redo part of the poet\'s trajectory that transplanted in foreign territory acted in the academic, literary and artistic means representing Brazil and building his own view of the Brazilian modernism.

Este trabalho pretendeu abordar o tema \"Coleta e Transporte dos Resíduos Sólidos no Meio Urbano\", principais responsáveis pela imagem da problemática dos resíduos sólidos perante a população e a administração pública. Apresentou-se a importância dos serviços de coleta e transporte em seus múltiplos aspectos, o processo de planejamento destes serviços e sua interdependência com o Sistema de Resíduos Sólidos, terminologia esta agregadora das funções relacionadas no trabalho. Após as colocações efetuadas concluiu-se que com as informações reunidas neste trabalho há melhores condições de que, principalmente os técnicos e administradores públicos possam planejar, programar, executar e avaliar a coleta e transporte dos resíduos sólidos no meio urbano. / The main objective of this paper is to study how solid wastes are collected and transported and its influence on the environment, since these two operations constitute, both for the population and for the public administration the origin of many of the problems ascribed to solid wastes. The multiple aspects of the services related to the collection and transportation of solid wastes are discussed, as well as how such services should be planned. The interdependence between these services and the other parts of the structure of the services of public cleansing are also studied. It is concluded that the this paper\'s multiple informations will help the public administration to plan, to programme, to execute and to evaluate the collection and transportation of solid wastes in urban communities.

nÃo hà / Este trabalho trata de um estudo de caso que tem como objetivo investigar os efeitos da usura e do anatocismo no processo de endividamento bancÃrio em uma amostra de 60 operaÃÃes de crÃdito. Todas as observaÃÃes sÃo devedores inadimplentes e aguardando decisÃo judicial pertinentes à comarca de ParnaÃba, norte do estado do PiauÃ, tendo operaÃÃes contratadas no perÃodo de 1994 a 2003. Foi feita uma breve anÃlise dos aspectos histÃricos, jurÃdicos e econÃmicos da polÃtica de crÃdito no Brasil envolvendo os setores rural, comercial e industrial, declinando sobre os aspectos legais da cobranÃa bancÃria ante a conjuntura econÃmica. Como metodologia, utilizou-se uma pesquisa de campo, realizada com os 60 mutuÃrios quando do ajuizamento das operaÃÃes para auxiliar na avaliaÃÃo dos efeitos da usura e do anatocismo quanto à evoluÃÃo das dÃvidas. A conclusÃo a que se chegou à que a usura e o anatocismo foram fatores que contribuÃram para que tais operaÃÃes chegassem à situaÃÃo de inadimplÃncia. Ressalte-se, porÃm, que o poder de generalizar tais resultados à limitado, dada a falta de informaÃÃo do efeito da usura e do anatocismo sobre os tomadores adimplentes. / This case study aims to investigate the effects of usury and compound interest in the process of acquiring bank debt. The sample was made up of sixty (60) credit transactions, initiated from 1994-2003, all of which are in default and awaiting judicial rulings in the district court of ParnaÃba. A brief analysis of the historical, judicial and politico-economical aspects of credit in Brazil relating to the rural, commercial and industrial sectors is included with emphasis given to the legal aspects of debt collection and economic status. As methodology, a field study was undertaken, achieved with the sixty (60) borrowers during their judgment in order to assist the evaluation of the effects of usury and compound interest in the evolution of the debts. The conclusion reached is that usury and compound interest application were factors that contributed to the debt arriving at the point of default. It should be emphasized, however, that the power of said result does not extend to any and all type of credit transaction.

“Voiceprints of an Astronaut” is a multi-faceted collection of poems that explores the fluid borders between memory and the imagined, the personal and the sociohistorical. The “voiceprints” of the title poem are the words, both imagined and real, of the only twelve men who ever walked on the moon. My own device, of an imagined ‘interview’ with figures from history, is deployed in the title poem. It is also used, for example, in the form of voiceprints from R.L. Stevenson, (“Tusitala”), Mary Queen of Scots’ maidservant, (“Beheaded”,“A Prayer fir James VI”), an acrobat-magician from the Qin Dynasty, (Bi xi Terracotta) and a time-travelling 14th century monk transposed to the Scottish Poetry Library (“In the Library”). In poems such as “Earthrise”, “Starlight from Saturn”, “In the Library”, and “Lines for Edwin Morgan” the tone is lyrical, taking the form of the sonnet, or sometimes simply reflecting the ghost of a sonnet framework. Recent events such as the Haiti earthquake are reflected, at times, by a purely personal response, such as in “Beads”, while poems about the Aids epidemic in the 80’s, (“Lunch-times with Rick”, “The Quilts”) spring from a period as Medical Correspondent for the Guardian, covering Aids conferences in London, Stockholm, Montreal and San Francisco. Others, such as “Roosevelt’s Bats”, “Fire-and-Forget” and “At Sea” are responses to modern war and conflict. In all of these, my aim has been to explore the political through the personal. The poems in this collection reflect an adult life split, almost equally, between two cities: Edinburgh and London. Regular visits too, to North America are another influence. An important part of the journey involved in writing these poems was a discovery of a Scots voice I thought I’d misplaced, only to find again, in poems such as “Beheaded” or “Haud tae me”. Some of these poems are autobiographical, dealing with parenthood, childhood, and growing up. Others, such as “Dana Point” or “Boy with Frog” celebrate a moment, a time and a place. In the case of the series of poems beginning with “Jim” and ending with “Black and White” the places and times take the form of memories, both in Scotland and Canada, of a much older sister. The critical essay that forms the second part of this thesis is entitled “Politics and the Personal in the Sonnet and Sonnet Sequence: Edwin Morgan's “Glasgow Sonnets”, Tony Harrison's “from The School of Eloquence” and selected sonnets by Paul Muldoon”. The first chapter examines the use of the sonnet form in Edwin Morgan’s “Glasgow Sonnets”; the second chapter concerns the sonnets written by Tony Harrison in from The School of Eloquence and Other Poems, published in 1978, while the third chapter looks at selected sonnets by Paul Muldoon.

Magister Artium - MA / Collection development plays a significant role in the successful achievement of the library’s purpose. The reason for the existence of the library is to meet the information needs of the community it serves. To determine if the PIC is responsive to the information needs of parliamentary researchers, the study used a mixed method of data collection. A survey method in the form of a questionnaire was used to collect quantitative data from parliamentary researchers. Other researchers at Parliament, for example researchers employed by political parties are not part of this study. Qualitative data was collected through interviews with a selection of librarians involved in the PIC collection development process and an evaluation of the Collection Development Policy of the PIC. Four librarians from the PIC were interviewed, and the PIC Collection Development Policy was analysed to triangulate data collected from the questionnaire and interviews. The information needs of parliamentary researchers are triggered by the information needs of parliamentarians, and therefore it is significant that the PIC provide a collection that responds to the information needs of researchers so they can provide relevant information to parliamentarians. The findings indicate that the responsiveness of the library material varies according to the needs of the researchers. The PIC will benefit from a proactive involvement of parliamentary researchers in the collection development process. Customised orientation, proper needs analysis and collection evaluation will improve usage of the library resources and responsiveness of the library material to the clients.
