Vývoj obchodných vzťahov medzi Českou republikou a Ruskom / Development of trade relations between the Czech Republic and Russia

Svrčková, Miroslava January 2012 (has links)
The thesis describes the development of trade relations between the Czech Republic and Russia. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the development of trade relations between the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation in the period of 1993-2011, and to assess the potential of mutual trade partnership for the future, based on the analyses performed. First chapter describes the contractual provision of trade relations between the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation. Second chapter analyzes the bilateral trade relations between the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation in quantitative terms, and provides a summary of trends in trade in goods and services. Third part is devoted to the most important state institutions within the export policy of the Czech Republic (Ministry of Industry and Trade, Czech Export Bank, EGAP, CzechTrade) and highlights the importance of these institutions in supporting czech exports to the Russian Federation. Due to the high energy dependence of the Czech Republic on import of energy resources from Russia, the last fourth chapter is devoted to the energy relations between the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation.

Frontier Internship in Mission, 1961-1974: young Christians abroad in a post-colonial and Cold War World

Focer, Ada J. 13 February 2016 (has links)
Frontier Internship in Mission (FIM) was an experimental mission project conceived of and run by Presbyterian Student World Relations director Margaret Flory between 1961 and 1974. It was broadly ecumenical in concept and execution and closely tied to the World Student Christian Federation community. Recent college or seminary graduates were assigned to live and work with local people who were connected in some way to the global ecumenical network and who had invited them. They worked on projects mutually agreed upon, usually for two years. One hundred fourteen of the 140 Americans who originally participated and eight of the original 20 international participants were interviewed for this study. Their narratives about their life histories and experience during and after these international partnerships offer an intimate look at one group of largely mainline Protestant Americans born in the 1930s and 1940s, and the social and religious institutions that were their avenues to engagement with the wider world at a time of cataclysmic change. Over the thirteen years of FIM program operation considered here, conditions in the forty-eight different countries where Frontier Interns (FIs) served were transformed by movements for independence and by escalating covert and overt American intrusions. The core of this dissertation presents regionally-organized internship case studies highlighting the impact of those encounters on the FI’s Christian and American identities . It also analyzes the rejection of their witness when they returned home. Moving forward with their lives, Frontier Interns reaffirmed their commitment to “right relations” of mutual respect across difference and most often gravitated to social roles as bridge-builders and interpreters, domestically and internationally. The strong internal opposition to global ecumenism that had developed in some mainline Protestant churches changed the relationship of many FIs to those churches. It is argued here that the Frontier Interns’ experience highlights a societal shift from a moral order based on covenant or social contract to one that privileged the unrestrained exercise of power and interests. A covenantal commitment to mutual global partnerships is central to who the FIs are, their internships, and what they did with their lives subsequently.

Workload Characterization and Performance Evaluation of a Blockchain Implementation for Managing Federated Cloud Resources - Assuming a Peer-to-peer Energy Management Use Case

Jidrot, Rune, Perumal, Gnanapalaniselvi January 2021 (has links)
Blockchain technology has become an appealing concept in Distributed Systems because it enables a distributed storage of information, replacing a central database [1]. In addition, Blockchains promise to address inherent and difficult issues in distributed systems such as a) proving the provenance of information, i.e., the documentation where pieces of data comes from (including their the processing), and b) that the information has not been changed, i.e., the integrity of the information has not been corrupted. The data in a Blockchain is said to be immutable. In this thesis, we apply Blockchain technology as a concept in Distributed Systems for securely collecting and storing data from distributed cloud resources that must be intact over a longer amount of time, such as the amount of consumed cloud resources characterized by CPU load or energy usage. In particular, this work considers a peer-to-peer energy use case where virtual energy resources are monitored. The focus of this thesis is on a) how a Blockchain for a distributed Cloud monitoring can be implemented, b) how the workload can be characterized and c) how the Blockchain system’s performance can be observed and what performance can be achieved. Therefore, the work defines an initial system model, provide an implementation, and carries out experiments in order to understand the impact of the design factors and the system input to the capabilities and performance of the system. The results of the experiments, the workload characterization and performance analysis, are analysed by statistical means and provided as graphs. The choices of system models, Blockchain technology (Hyperledger Fabric), and other parameters, are based on the literature review. The experimental implementation is, in turn, based on the selected system model, where we want to experimentally identify limitations and bottlenecks of the performance.

Los determinantes de la audiencia televisiva de mega-eventos deportivos en Chile : el caso de las Copas del Mundo FIFA

Álvarez Hormazábal, María Isabel January 2016 (has links)

Prístup Ruskej federácie k procesu disengagementu vracajúcich sa zahraničných bojovníkov / The Russian Approach to the Process of Dissengagement of the Foreign Fighters

Vargová, Martina January 2017 (has links)
Diploma thesis The Russian Approach to the Process of Disengagement of the Returning Foreign Fighters is dealing with the issue of terminating one's membership and participation on activities of the terrorist organizations abroad in the context of the Russian Federation. The aim of the thesis is to fill the gap in the research which has neglected the Russian approach. The thesis is working with the theoretical knowledge of the current research on disengagement and transfers it to the state level. The approach of the Russian Federation to the process of disengagement is analysed within the categories of hard and soft measures which are being implemented by the Russian Federation in connection with the disengagement of the foreign fighters returning from Syria and Iraq mainly to the North Caucasian region. Based on the balance between hard and soft measures, the complexity of the Russian approach is being assessed. The approach of the Russian Federation to the process of disengagement of the foreign fighters is varied on the federal and within the regional level as well. The federal level approach is strictly based on hard measures and involuntary disengagement of the returning foreign fighters. The regional level in cases of Chechnya, North Ossetia, Stavropol region and Karachay-Cherkessia is...

Administrativní regulování migračních procesů v sovětské a postsovětské Moskvě. / Administrative Regulation of Migration Processes in Soviet and post-Soviet Moscow.

Andrle, Jakub January 2018 (has links)
This dissertation analyses the system of internal passports as a central administrative instrument of controlling migration processes in the Soviet Union and post-Soviet Russia. Specifically, the study focuses on the topic of using the passport system, and the restrictions incorporated in this system, on the territory of Moscow. The aim of the study is two-fold. Firstly, it strives to identify, from a position of historical institutionalism, the factors which allowed Moscow, many years after the dissolution of the USSR, to control migration processes within its borders using distinctively "Soviet" methods, in clear violation of federal laws. On a different level of analysis, the dissertation focusses on the regulatory methods themselves: it examines the genesis and early evolution of the internal passport system and the mechanism of so-called propiska (registration), in the era of Stalinist industrialization, before turning to the process of the system's erosion and partial dismantling during the late Soviet and early post-Soviet years. Finally, the study aims to analyse the methods chosen for controlling migration in Moscow during the rule of mayor Yuri Luzhkov (1992-2010), and the way his policies affected the migration situation in Russia's capital.

Design and Implementation of a Framework for Process Management in Service Oriented Virtual Organizations Using Service Zones

Ahmadi Danesh Ashtiani, Mohammad Hosein January 2012 (has links)
Virtual Organizations (VO)—a network of independent organizations collaborating to address specific business opportunities—have become popular in today’s technology driven business environment. Due to their autonomous and interdependent nature, management of collaboration among such organizations is a challenging task. Although many solutions have been proposed over the past two decades to support inter-organizational interactions, VOs still face several challenges due to their dynamic and temporal nature that cannot be addressed by traditional solutions such as ebXML, RosettaNet and EDI. In this research, we present a framework for process management in service oriented virtual organizations and a distributed architecture for a flexible infrastructure that supports collaborative business process execution, monitoring and management. The framework contains 6 layers with multiple components within each layer. In designing the components of the framework, standard reference architecture such as the Open-EDI reference model and the S3 service oriented architecture, as well as best practices such as ITIL V3 and PMBOK are used. The infrastructure supports the common topologies of inter-organizational collaboration (e.g. peer-to-peer, star, linear), and responds well to changes due to its loosely coupled components. The proposed infrastructure is based on federating multiple SOA infrastructures with the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) as its core. It is implemented using IBM WebSphere ™ products. We demonstrate that VOs built with our framework and implementation architecture facilitate flexibility, rapid process integration and dynamic evolution.

Vývoj ochrany svobody shromažďovací a sdružovací podle EÚLP a MPOPP v Ruské federaci / Evolution of the protection of the freedom of assembly and association under the ECHR and the ICCPR in the Russian Federation

Solomina, Daria January 2021 (has links)
MASTER'S THESIS Evolution of the protection of the freedom of assembly and association under the ECHR and the ICCPR in the Russian Federation. Author: Daria Solomina Supervisor: JUDr. Milan Lipovský, Ph.D. Study programme: MAIN Academic Year: 2020/2021 Abstract The rights of assembly and association are vital elements of the international system of human rights. The democratic society needs to protect those freedoms to let the population a chance to express important ideas, concerns, raise political and social issues and make sure the government knows what is important to pay attention to. The international legal system (in particular created by the ECHR and the ICCPR), has come up with fundamental basis for the realization of the rights of assembly and association. However, the main responsibility of the implementation of those rules and norms lays on the states and their domestic legal systems. This thesis researches the structure of the legal protection of the freedoms of assembly and association in the Russian Federation, discovers the significant discordances between it and the provisions of the ECHR and the ICCPR, and attempts to give the political reasoning that is behind those differences. Analyzing the case-law, historical developments of the political life of the Russian Federation and the...

Migrace mezi Střední Asií a Ruskem. Případ Kyrgyzstánu / Mirgation between Russia and Central Asia

Vilímová, Andrea January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with migration flows between Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic. The aim is to analyze migration trends after the collapse of the Soviet Union and to characterize the impact and importance of migration on society and the state of Kyrgyzstan. Another issue is the use of the theories of migration in the post-Soviet space, where they are rarely used nowadays. The analysis begins with an introduction to the formation of the USSR with regard to migration processes on the territory of present-day Kyrgyzstan. Another part is devoted to ethnic migration and the last part deals with labor migration. This thesis illustrates the interdependence of migration and changes in the economy and society in Kyrgyzstan. Based on the evaluation of the causes of migration, migration theory could be used just for explanation of labor migration. Application of specific migration theories on labour migration is a matter for further research.
