The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is consisted of outlining the meaning of The Crusade both from the visual art understanding point of view, as well as spiritual thinking. At the beginning of the thesis there is just briefly described the history and the position of religious in society, view of folksy religiousness and the problematic of The Crusade, it is also pointed to Passion cycle, modern concept of The Crusade and its own Crusade in the conception of Mikuláš Medek and Karel Stádník. The practical part deals with the creation of its own proposal chosen to stop The Crusade, which are subsequently placed in the area of selected locality around Prachatice.

However, this potentiality amplifies the genius? will, when the status of individual is retaken. According to the philosopher, the surplus of the faculty of knowing may take two guidances, which exclude themselves: the objective guidance, when one is freed from the bondage of the will, or the indirect guidance, occasion when the surplus is available to the individual guidance. As a consequence of the surplus, the genius either neglects suffering or suffers radically. This work intends to present the following hypothesis: the genius goes through existential drama that greatly surpasses the natural suffering inherent to other people. Thereunto Torquato Tasso, Goethe?s work, was utilized, since it has been mentioned by Schopenhauer / Para Schopenhauer, o que caracteriza o g?nio ? o excedente da faculdade de conhecer (genialidade) que lhe possibilita acesso imediato ? Ideia por meio da contempla??o intuitiva, enquanto puro sujeito do conhecimento. Todavia, esta mesma potencialidade amplifica a vontade do g?nio, quando este retoma a condi??o de indiv?duo. Segundo o fil?sofo, o excedente da faculdade de conhecer pode tomar duas orienta??es, excludentes entre si: a orienta??o objetiva, quando ele se torna livre da servid?o da vontade, ou a orienta??o subjetiva, ocasi?o em que o excedente se coloca a servi?o da vontade individual. Por conta dessas duas orienta??es do excedente, o g?nio ora se abst?m do sofrimento, ora sofre de maneira extremada. O presente trabalho pretende apresentar a hip?tese de que o g?nio vivencia um drama existencial, que ultrapassa sobremodo o sofrimento natural inerente aos outros homens. Para tanto, objetiva-se recorrer ? obra Torquato Tasso do Goethe, citada pelo pr?prio Schopenhauer.

Bridging is considered as a formal, spatial, referential, and tectonic articulation of connectedness between architecture and context. The question is probed through a mixed architectural program situated in the interstice of an urban downtown and residential neighborhood. The architecture originates from singular or hybridized combinations of these characteristics: whereas formal defines the compositional relationships through, for example, orientation, grids, scales, proportions, and contrast or balance among the parts; whereas spatial indicates a gradient of boundaries established through anchoring, intersecting, overlapping, projecting, interlocking, and parallel elements; whereas referential draws connections through an interpretation of distinct characteristics from the present, past, and future environmental context; and whereas tectonic consists of the underlying structure, frame or mass, and materiality without which the formal, spatial, and referential concepts cannot become physical. / Master of Architecture / Bridging is considered as a formal, spatial, referential, and tectonic articulation of connectedness between architecture and context. China is a high speed developing country during the past 40 years. However, when China became better and better, there were a lot of issues being left, such as boomed populations, urban village emerging, social media issues and lack of human spirit. All of these issues occurred in the modern urban context, which made the "Loci Genius" lose. So how could architects reconstruct and conserve the "Genius Loci." I try to build the temple for people in the high dense city, which help people to find and think for themselves, to keep peaceful. I believe people and space could build the journey to the pilgrimage. The Buddha joss will not be made in the temple, but be established in every visitor's mind finally. / Master of Architecture

This diploma thesis deals with the landscape development, determination of landscape values and description of genius loci in the area of Chlum u Třeboně. The development was monitored within the terms of both microstructure and macrostructure. The landscape macrostructure was evaluated from the statistical data for the use of areas from the first half of the 19th century to the present.The microstructure and its changes since the second half of the 20th was examined by the comparative method using map data supplemented by memories of the local inhabitants and chronicle records.The landscape values determined by field research were indicated into the maps alongside the photographic documentation of selected values.

The project of the stadium Za Lužánkami is situated in an area with almost tangible genius loci. At the same time this locality is bound to the biggest successes of the football in Brno and thus it also has a very strong sport tradition. Ponava has a huge potential of becoming a favored sport and recreational area. Development of the sport infrastructure and quality public spaces will once again incorporates Ponava among the desired localities. The design of the football stadium reflects the situation of the current structure. The decision to keep a part of the eastern stand (based on the structural engineer’s consult) became a determining factor for the whole design. It became the starting point from where everything else developed. The building of the stadium becomes a local dominant dressed in colors of Brno but at the same time it remains a part of its immediate environment hidden behind the trees of Mendel university arboretum.

Understanding of place is fundamental to architects, a complex topic with many layers. The purpose of this research is to explore how architects can answer to the given conditions of a specific site and through the act of making, explore and provide insights as input for a series of Pioneers (design proposals).  This investigation takes place in a rural coastal village forty kilometers north om Umeå, a  tranquil place named Ratan. Six in-situ artifacts are identified and analysed through an extensive iterative process where drawings and models are made along with reflections and theory, constituting an archive.  A pioneer is among the first to explore and to settle in new territory, it can also be groundbreaking in utilizing new methods or areas of knowledge or activities.These pioneers are just that, objects that pushes boundaries and are willing to try new things. The focus lies in unfolding that process and to explore how that understanding can be achieved through a specific process of making an archive. The archive has been used as a conscious tool to reflect and learn. In turn, it has provided insights into the three pioneers to be placed back in Ratan on three specific locations representing different typologies.   The aim has been to find methods and strategies of providing insights to be used into creating thoughtful born-out-of-place architecture that reflects back to its location and surroundings, to learn through the act of making and to involve all senses into the process.  For architects, the outlined process is relevant as it proposes alternative approaches and methods to understanding space. To make meaningful architecture with character, that is both rooted into the past and the future. Perhaps it is true as expressed by Christer Hollinder that we need a historical foundation as not to be fluttery and rootless.
