Akcelerace kryptografie pomocí GPU / Cryptography Acceleration Using GPU

Potěšil, Josef January 2011 (has links)
The reader will be familiar with selected concepts of cryptography consited in this work. AES algorithm was selected in conjunction with the description of architecture and software for programming graphic cards (CUDA, OpenCL), in order to create its GPU-accelerated version. This thesis tries to map APIs for communication with crypto-coprocessors, which exist in kernels of Linux/BSD operating systems (CryptoAPI, OCF). It examines this support in the cross-platform OpenSSL library. Subsequently, the work discusses the implementation details, achieved results and integration with OpenSSL library. The conclusion suggests how the developed application could be used and briefly suggests its usage directly by the operating system kernel.

To what extent is oral corrective feedback beneficial for young learners’ EFL and/or L2 language development?

Nikolic, Natalie January 2023 (has links)
Abstract This study investigates the effectiveness of using Oral Corrective Feedback (OCF) as a way of promoting young learners' language acquisition from an EFL (English As a Foreign Language) perspective. Furthermore, this study also looks at learners' and teachers' thoughts about oral corrective feedback and whether it serves its intended purpose in the classroom towards learners' language learning. My method is based on scientific articles and sets out previous studies to investigate how oral corrective feedback may be beneficial for young learners' EFL and L2 language development. Previous experimental research indicates that the use of oral corrective feedback has a positive effect on learners' L2 development and language acquisition. In this current study I provide an overview of the possible advantages and disadvantages of using oral corrective feedback in young learners' L2 development in an educational context which also includes an insight into teachers' attitude. The results show that OCF is beneficial for young learners’ L2 development if the learners are aware of the OCF that is being provided. The results also indicate that OCF is affected by the teachers' attitude towards OCF. Key terms: OCF, EFL, L2, corrective oral feedback, oral feedback types, teacher’s attitude OCF, learners' attitude OCF, teacher OCF and uptake.

[en] ANALISYS OF PROPERTIES AND RELATIVE BEHAVIOUR BETWEEN OPERATIONAL RESOURSE FLOWS / [pt] ANÁLISE DE PROPRIEDADES E COMPORTAMENTOS RELATIVOS DE FLUXO DE RECURSOS OPERACIONAIS

JOSE ANTONIO DA COSTA LIMA MASCARENHAS 10 June 2005 (has links)
[en] Over the past decades, several evaluation indices have been the targeted for study, the objective being the determination of usefulness and relevance when determining operational performance. Since its substitution by the Cashflow Statement in 1987 in the United States, the Statement of Changes in Financial Position has been gradually phased out in other countries, where the concept of resources has steadily given way to one of cash. Among other reasons, one particular being better informational content and possessing relative comprehension ease. In Brazil, the debate for such change has been occurring for the past several years. EBITDA - Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortization, is without a doubt one of the most recognizable operational resource flows in existence. Its calculation can be performed with relative ease from the Profit and Loss Statement and because it is especially optimistic when announcing operational results, EBITDA has gained great acceptance form the entrepreneurial world. The Operational Cashflow obtained by the Fleuriet Method has received great interest from academics over the past years. It possesses great explaining power in multiple regression models, but its calculation involves performing several changes in current assets and liabilities, where classification ambiguities are left to individual discretion. Perhaps this explains its low acceptance in the entrepreneurial world, where ready made indices, recognizable worldwide are demanded. This dissertation will analyze the relative behavior of some better known operational recourse flows.

A search for optimal structure of carbon-based porous adsorbents for hydrogen storage : numerical modeling approach / Une recherche de structures optimales des adsorbants poreux à base de carbone pour le stockage de l'hydrogène : approche par modélisation numérique

Mohammadhosseini, Ali 17 September 2013 (has links)
The main goal of research presented in this thesis has been a search for optimal carbon-based porous structure capable to achieve the hydrogen storage capacity defined by US Department of Energy (DOE) for mobile applications at room temperature by adsorption at medium-level pressures below 120 bars. The hydrogen is assumed to be stored in a tank filled with adsorbents to be used in transport application, mainly fuel-cell driven vehicles. The known carbon-based adsorbents have low storage capacity. Therefore in this work, I have defined the basic parameters which are responsible for the capacity deficiency of such materials. Special attention has been paid to local pore geometry of adsorbents. I have investigated the pore local structure of carbon-based adsorbents and I present the basis of design and hydrogen adsorption capacity in three-dimensional architecture of new carbon frameworks, a promising class of potential hydrogen storage materials that have not been studied so far. Apart from maximizing the density of hydrogen taken up by this family of structures, I have aimed at characterization of this new category of adsorbents. This is hoped to lead to a guidance how their physical properties can be designed, or `tuned', to optimize their storage properties, and the obtained results seem to achieve this aim and thus provide a good basis for future research.
