O rural na mídia impressa local fronteiriça : diferentes formas de abordagem

O presente estudo parte do contexto de importância da mídia local situada em municípios de fronteira e da pauta rural como temática fundamental aos espaços fronteiriços do sul brasileiro. O interesse centra-se no modo como o rural, especialmente no que tange ao caráter econômico atualmente bastante voltado ao agronegócio, é abordado nos jornais A Plateia e Cidade, de Sant‟Ana do Livramento e Uruguaiana, respectivamente. Tais municípios caracterizam-se como importantes polos econômicos de produção agropecuária e rotas de circulação e contato do Brasil e do Rio Grande do Sul com o Mercosul, especialmente com Uruguai e Argentina. Busca-se compreender como a mídia impressa local noticia o rural, considerando principalmente os aspectos econômicos compartilhados com países vizinhos do Brasil, Uruguai e Argentina. O enfoque recai sobre as escalas espaciais de ocorrência dos acontecimentos relacionados ao rural, a presença dos países vizinhos e das referidas nacionalidades nos textos jornalísticos e as abordagens que caracterizam as notícias sobre a temática. O recorte temporal contempla o período de sete exposições e feiras agropecuárias distribuídas entre os três países, partindo especialmente da 40ª edição da Exposição Internacional de Animais, Máquinas, Implementos e Produtos Agropecuários (Expointer), realizada em Esteio, região metropolitana de Porto Alegre, no Rio Grande do Sul, entre os dias 26 de agosto e 03 de setembro de 2017. Eventos dessa natureza mobilizam os municípios da fronteira e são também espaços de interação entre os países compreendidos nos interesses do estudo. Em termos metodológicos, a dissertação configura-se num Estudo de Caso, para o qual foram acionados a Pesquisa Bibliográfica, a Pesquisa Exploratória e a Análise de Conteúdo. A análise aponta para a temática rural com abordagem predominantemente voltada para a economia, seguida de práticas culturais e o turismo rural. As características dos jornais mostram-se semelhantes em relação à delimitação local, mas distintos no que se refere à abordagem da fronteira e dos países vizinhos, Uruguai e Argentina. / The present study starts from the context of importance of the local media located in frontier municipalities and of the rural agenda as a fundamental theme to the frontier spaces of the Brazilian south. The interest is focused on the way in which the rural sector, especially with regard to the economic character currently geared to agribusiness, is approached in the newspapers A Plateia e Cidade, Sant'Ana do Livramento and Uruguaiana, respectively. These municipalities are characterized as important economic poles of agricultural production and routes of circulation and contact of Brazil and Rio Grande do Sul with Mercosur, especially with Uruguay and Argentina. It seeks to understand how the local print media reports the rural, mainly considering the economic aspects shared with neighboring countries of Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. The focus is on spatial scales of occurrence of rural events, the presence of neighboring countries and nationalities in journalistic texts, and the approaches that characterize news about the theme. The period includes seven exhibitions and agricultural fairs distributed among the three countries, starting from the 40th edition of the International Exhibition of Animals, Machinery, Implements and Agricultural Products (Expointer), held in Esteio, metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, in the Rio Grande do Sul, between August 26 and September 3, 2017. Events of this nature mobilize the municipalities of the border and are also spaces of interaction between countries included in the interests of the study. In methodological terms, the dissertation is set up in a Case Study, for which the Bibliographic Research, the Exploratory Research and the Content Analysis were used. The analysis points to the rural theme with a predominantly economic approach, followed by cultural practices and rural tourism. The characteristics of the newspapers are similar in relation to the local delimitation, but different in relation to the border approach and neighboring countries, Uruguay and Argentina.

M-ROAMIN : um modelo para representação de objetos de aprendizagem multimodais interativos

O acesso aos conteúdos educacionais pode ser realizado usando diferentes tecnologias tais como, o computador, a Internet, os dispositivos móveis, TV interativa, entre outras, cada qual com diferentes restrições e, principalmente, potencialidades. Diante dessas possibilidades de acesso ao conteúdo educacional, deve-se atentar para a elaboração de conteúdos que possam ser acessados por diferentes meios, independente de local ou situação, visando à mobilidade e interatividade do conteúdo. As tecnologias e o advento da Internet permitiram a educação ubíqua e o surgimento de Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem, mas alguns problemas surgem quando o usuário não está conectado. Nesse contexto, esta tese apresenta um modelo para representação de OAs, utilizando diferentes recursos, inclusive a mídia impressa como um meio alternativo de interação e/ou entrada para outros dispositivos com o objetivo de favorecer a aprendizagem, mesmo quando o usuário não possuir uma conexão ativa ou equipamento digital à sua disposição. Como alternativa de integração de recursos criou-se o modelo M-ROAMIN (Modelo para Representação de Objetos de Aprendizagem Multimodais Interativos) voltado para a materialização de OAM usando a tecnologia de códigos 2D e aplicação dos princípios da Aprendizagem Multimídia, bem como requisitos para elaboração de conteúdo instrucional, o qual pode ser utilizado no ensino a distância ou presencial. Metadados foram analisados para representar o OAM do modelo e regras foram criadas com o intuito de facilitar a materialização do conteúdo de acordo com a necessidade e meio de acesso. Ao finalizar as etapas de desenvolvimento das aplicações e materialização do OAM, o modelo foi validado com turmas de Graduação e Ensino Médio. Os resultados obtidos nos experimentos indicam os benefícios do modelo como alternativa para facilitar o acesso ao conteúdo educacional com mobilidade e interatividade. / The access to educational content can be performed using different technologies such as the computer, the Internet, mobile devices, interactive TV, among others, each with different restrictions and potential. The technologies and the advent of Internet enabled ubiquitous education and the emergence of virtual learning environments, but some problems arise when the user is not logged. In this context, this thesis presents a model for representing LO, using different resources, including printed media as an alternative means of interaction and / or other input devices to provide learning, even when the user does not have an active connection or equipment digital at your disposal. Thus created the model M-ROAMIN (Model of Representation of Multimodal Interactive Learning Objects) for to facilite the materialization of Multimodal LO using 2D codes technology and the principles of Multimedia Learning, as well as requirements for preparation of instructional content, which can be used in distance learning or classroom learning. Metadata were analyzed to represent the LO model and rules were created in order to facilitate the representation of content in different technologies. At the end of the stages of development of applications and materialization of LO, the model was validated with classes Undergraduate and High School. The results obtained in experiments provide indicators of benefits in using the model as an alternative to facilitate access to content with mobility and interactivity.

This diploma thesis deals with the influence of teenage girl magazines and school on the self-concept of adolescent girls. Theoretical part aims to bring comprehensive review of current scientific research on the topic of development of self-identity during adolescence where self-concept is created with strong emphasis on physical appearance. The thesis subsequently examine possible disorders that can arise from erroneous self-concept. The impact of printed media and especially girl magazines, on components of adolescent girl's self-concept is considered. School and educational system as another important contributor in development of self-concept is reflected in my thesis as well. Experimental aims to explore which areas of self-concept and girls behavior are influenced by girl magazines most significantly and whether educational system takes girl magazines into consideration during educational process. In order to collect necessary data the experiment was concluded with sixty respondents, which were instructed to valuate several body parts before and after the exposition to the picture from girl magazine capturing fashion ideal of woman body. The thesis deals with regulation of tobacco products advertising and its impact on selected media houses in the Czech Republic. First part of the thesis is dedicated to the history of smoking, to tobacco advertising in general and to description of negative effects on human health. Major tobacco companies present in the Czech market since 1993 are introduced. Moreover legislative development in the area of tobacco advertising which took place in three phases between years 1995 - 2004 is described. Part of the thesis focuses also on the context of the ban on tobacco advertising on the EU level, which became effective as of July 2005. Second part of the thesis deals with impact analysis of increasing tobacco regulation on selected Czech media. As for the television broadcasters, the Czech Television and TV NOVA are analyzed. For printed media, the impact is depicted on the case of newspapers Mladá fronta Dnes and Lidové noviny. This diploma thesis deals with the everyday life of journalists between years 1970 - 1990. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part draws mainly from books on sociology, Statistics Office and publications and journals of "The Journalist" ("Novinář") publishing. There are definitions of the key terms and statistic data on media, culture and life style in the first part. It also depicts Czech society in the time of Normalization, as well as professional and social structure of the population, scholar-ship and the position of a journalist in this era. The practical part is devoted to the interviews with journalists and analyses separate aspects of everyday life. This analysis was made with the usage of the qualitative method and compares particular responses of the journalists with the data from the theoretical part.

The goal of this study is to explore how Czech printed media referred about online social network Facebook from its founding till the period when number of Czech users reached approximately one million. Contend analysis is being used as a research method. Covered period is from September 2005 until end of July 2009. The study is grounded in the diffusion of innovation theory as well as in the social-constructivist view on media. Previous foreign studies with a similar topics are also presented in the theoretical part. Methodological part deals with the method of content analysis and presents research questions as well as the research sample. Analytical part presents results of the research, relates them to the theoretical standpoints and puts them into historical context. Findings show that during observed period there were changes in the way and intensity how Facebook was presented and that there could be found themes that Facebook was predominantly associated with.

The diploma thesis Impact of Media Partnership on the Content of Film Reviews explores the relation between the content of film reviews in Czech press and media partnership. The first part, which is based on researches, briefly describes the development of the cultural journalism oriented on the cinematography in the Czech setting and analyses the issues theoretically. Than the diploma thesis examines the approach of Czech professional journalists and considers the limits of personal subjectivity of respective journalists and the ethics of Czech press. In the second part, which focuses on the analysis, the author chose two national journals and two national weekly magazines and analyzed the reviews of films, which were in media partnership with the journals or weekly magazines. She compared the attitude of media partners with others journals - either press or electronic. The analysis covers the period from 2007 to 2010 and allows not only comparison between the journalists or the media, but also between the selected years.

It works with the barthesian hypothesis in agreement in which the media messages develop connoted systems, of double signification, one of which the connoted message offers the necessary categories for the analysis of the image and of the text, and its ramifications in the printed media that influence notably the choice of the reader/voter, being this last question that justifies the proposal of the dissertation. The main contribution of the work consists of the application of the categories of the « photographic message » to the publications of printed media of two media vehicles of the context of a political campaign. Metodologicaly, the reaearch is bibliographical, analytical and documentary, of qualitative character, showing like such messages exceed, for the connotation, the limits of the denotative information. The corpus of the research includes the publications of two newspapers of major circulation in the country: O Estado de Sao Paulo and A Folha de Sao Paulo, in their inseparably photographic and textual registers of the above-mentioned campaigns. The theoretical fundamentation for the field of the photography understands the barthesian theory especially that proposal in Mythologies - exegesis of specific works of the author: The Obvious and the Obtuse, Camera Lucida, «The Photographic Message» and Semiologic Adventure. For the field of the journalism, the images are explored introducing significant elements of increase in value as to the journalistic treatment of such a political campaign, essentially centered in showing the defining characteristics of the global image of the candidates and of the competing parties, the communicative intention of both newspapers in his ideological positioning which goes and meets the criticism in Mythologies / Esta pesquisa situa seu objeto de estudo, a «mensagem fotográfica», no âmbito do jornalismo na campanha política à Prefeitura de São Paulo em 2012 e tem por objetivo a análise das tensões entre a denotação e a conotação. Trabalha com a hipótese barthesiana segundo com a qual as mensagens midiáticas desenvolvem sistemas conotados, de dupla significação, uma das quais a mensagem conotada oferece as categorias necessárias para a análise da imagem e do texto, e seus desdobramentos na mídia impressa que influenciam notavelmente a escolha do leitor/eleitor, sendo esta última questão a que justifica a proposta da dissertação. A principal contribuição do trabalho consiste na aplicação das categorias da «mensagem fotográfica» às publicações de mídia impressa de dois veículos midiáticos no contexto de uma campanha política. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa é bibliográfica, analítica e documental, de caráter qualitativo, mostrando como tais mensagens ultrapassam, pela conotação, os limites da informação denotativa. O corpus da pesquisa abrange as publicações dos dois jornais de maior circulação no país: O Estado de São Paulo e a Folha de São Paulo, em seus registros inseparavelmente fotográficos e textuais das referidas campanhas.
