Posturální stabilita elitních sportovkyň-průřezová studie / Postural stability of elite sportswomen - cross-sectional study

Pradáčová, Lucie January 2020 (has links)
Title: Postural stability of elite sportswomen - cross-sectional study Objectives: The aim of this work is to describe and evaluate postural stability in elite women's categories of selected sports specializations. a partial goal is to find out and compare selected parameters of static postural stability of football and volleyball players, both from the perspective of different age categories and from the point of view of the given sports specialization. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study involving a total of 278 female athletes (67 volleyball players, 211 football players) aged 14 and over. Tests were used: narrow stand open eyes, narrow stand closed eyes, stand on right lower limb, stand on left lower limb. The results of individual tests were statistically processed and compared. Statistical evaluation was performed using two way ANOVA test, type III and post-hoc Scheffe test. Statistical significance was determined to be p ≤ 0.05. Results: The results of the study showed that footballers have a better level of postural stability compared to volleyball players, and a significant difference was found in all four tests (p < 0.05). In terms of age category, youth players generally have better...

Klinické zhodnocení stavu ramenního kloubu u hráčů kadetské a juniorské kategorie tzv. overhead sportů / Clinical evaluation of ROM of shoulder joint in cadet and junior category players of so-called overhead sports

Benda, Petr January 2020 (has links)
The title of the master thesis: Clinical evaluation of ROM of shoulder joint in cadet and junior category players of so-called overhead sports Abstract in English language: The goal of this thesis is to elucidate whether the "overhead" athletes like handballers and volleyballers suffer from extension changes and local hypermobility in their shoulder joints. These changes are going to be described by trigonometric measurements and hypermobility tests by Sachse. It is going to be determined which "overhead" athletes are affected the most. Their sex is going to be taken into consideration. The theoretical part of the thesis describes selected "overhead" sports and their strain on a human body from a kinesiologic point of view. Especially the impact of offensive blows in volleyball and throws in handball on shoulder joints are going to be examined. The thesis is going to examine a shoulder girdle from an anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, and physiology point of view. A chapter focused on hypermobility and it is classification is included too. 95 people without a prior injury of a shoulder joint in the age from 16 to 19 years old including 73 "overhead" athletes were tested. There were 30 men, 40 women, 34 handballers, and 39 volleyballers. In the control group, there were 22 people, of which 11 men and 11...

A complete boxplot was used to analyze the data - maximum, minimum, arithmetic median, mean, standard deviation and 1st - 4th quartile. Results: The results show that the VKR section has a lower level of motor skills. And in the test, jump after a smeart run, throw 1 kg of medicine ball - one-handed, long jump from the place. In the K-test, the VKR section was better than the SCM selection. The results show differences between VKR performance players and top SCM players. The Economic Significance Study on the Volleyball Hall of Fame and Its Charitable Impressions

Xu, Feng 01 January 2012 (has links) (PDF)
Events and attractions can bring visitors and have economic impact and significance in the local areas. The measure and estimate of the economic impact and significance becomes a big concern for the organizers, governments and local residents. This study assessed the economic significance and impact of the Volleyball Hall of Fame and its related events in October 2009, and furthermore it examined its charitable impressions. The study first examined the demographic background of the visitors, and then followed the basic economic impact and significance assessment process proposed by Crompton and Stynes. The locals, casuals and time-switchers were identified, and then the study assessed the economic contributions in two dimensions: (1) the economic significance assessment including all the visitors, and (2) the typical economic impact assessment excluding the locals, casuals and time-switchers, and applied a conservative multiplier. Group sizes and the lengths of the stay were also examined to determine how they may also relate to the economic significance and impact assessment. Additionally the study assessed the charitable impressions by the visitors through a set of Likert scaled statements. The study found that, although the Volleyball Hall of Fame is a small-scale attraction, it did generate an economic contribution to the local community. Furthermore visitors had strong awareness of, and supported the Volleyball Hall of Fame’s participation in the non-profit charitable events, and the charitable impressions were identified as possible means to promote visitors' willingness to donate to the Volleyball Hall of Fame.

Elektromyografická analýza zapojení svalstva pletence ramenního u volejbalistů / Electromyographic analysis of the shoulder girdle muscles inclusion of volleyball players

Satrapová, Lenka January 2014 (has links)
Thesis title: Electromyographic Analysis of the Shoulder Girdle Muscles Inclusion of Volleyball Players Problem definition: Elite sport is very demanding, not only physically, but also mentally. The demands on the musculoskeletal system are often not compensated, especially in children and junior categories. The only targeted and regular compensation takes place at volleyball by the fitness training in the gym, but not always properly lead and adapted to the individual needs of athletes. The question is whether it is possible to prevent these problems. From my perspective, yes, the inclusion of appropriate compensation exercise in normal training session, which will require little equipment and time and to be functionally connected with volleyball technique that players do not lose the game performance. In the context of the thesis will be compared exercising of the second diagonal PNF for the upper extremity with an elastic resistance and simulated strike without the ball - volley lob, as an alternative fitness of exercises for volleyball players. Objectives: The aim of the dissertation is based on the available literature to outline the issues of kinesiological and biomechanical relationships of the shoulder girdle in sports especially in volleyball, which is a typical representative of the...

Seasonal Changes in Body Composition, Block Jump, Attack Jump and Lower Body Power Index in Male Collegiate Volleyball Players

Loomis, Geoffrey W 01 December 2013 (has links) (PDF)
Jumping ability in volleyball players is crucial to a team's success. There are both muscular and neural components in jumping. Coaches often test jumping ability and body composition prior to the start of the competitive season, but many fail to monitor these important variables during the course of the season. Jumping ability can decrease over the course of the season as the focus moves from strength training in the weight room to skill development on the court. It is imperative that players maintain their jumping ability and body composition over the course of the season. Seasonal changes in elite-male volleyball players were determined by testing the players body composition, spike jump, block jump and lower body power index at three distinct time points: prior to the first game, during their bye-week, and at the end of their regular season. It was found that these players were able to maintain their vertical jump and lower body power index. Also, those who were deemed players (those who played throughout the course of the season) had lower body fat percentages and higher jump scores. These results will aid coaches in understanding the changes that occur over the course of the season in elite-male collegiate volleyball players.
