Akutní účinky nové psychoaktivní látky ze skupiny derivátů fenyletylaminu - animální studie / Acute effects of new psychoactive substance from the group of phenethylamine derivatives - an animal study

Syrová, Kateřina January 2019 (has links)
Synthetic N-methoxybenzyl ("NBOMe") phenylethylamine derivatives were developed as highly potent agonists for the research of 5-hydroxytryptamine receptors, however they have become available on the black market in the past few years. They are sought by recreational users as "legal LSD", in worse cases the replacement is unsuspected and these substances are a cause of serious intoxication with signs of serotonin toxicity. At this moment, there is very little data available, but their low price, easy access via the internet and legal status make these substances an interesting target for recreational users and a big challenge for scientists and for the lawmakers. 2CBFly-NBOMe belongs to this group. There is no information about its recreational use for now, but thiat is probably only a matter of time. The aim of this study is to determine acute effects of 2CBFly-NBOMe in Wistar rats. Active substance significantly reduced locomotor activity of the animals and caused higher anxiety, it also disrupted sensorimotor gating and lowered body temperature of animals. Pharmacokinetic profile was measured only in the blood serum, the highest concentrations of 2CBFly-NBOMe were detected 30-60 minutes after the administration of hallucinogen. This paper provides first information on the effect of 2CBFly-NBOMe on...

Volby v reálném socialismu jakožto nástroj podmaňování / Elections in real socialism as the instrument of subjugation

Bárta, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
The thesis aims to provide possible interdisciplinar explanatory schema of the fact, which is in literature as a mass conformity of citizens of real-socialistic régime in Czechoslovakia. Even in the 70s and 80s, in a time of ideological emptiness, was achieved that the vast majority of the population participated in the rituals of power, which could have a considerable psychological impact. People were regularly reminded of their humbling and social psychological task is to present concepts able to describe, how could be such a humiliation at one's self-image processed and what effect this may have on general conformity. By the most symbolic ritual, the elections, it is also necessary to examine, in what form were they period presented, because this also has an impact on the degree of tension between own actions and convictions.

Subletální efekty insekticidů neonikotinoidů na migrační potenciál pavouků / Sublethal effects of the insecticides neonicotinoids on migration abilities of spiders

Přibáňová, Gabriela January 2021 (has links)
The purpose for using pesticides is to kill organisms that cause damage (so-called pests) on various crops and thus prevent possible crop losses. Their side effect is a negative impact on non-target organisms. The presented diploma thesis is focused on the effect of neonicotinoids on invertebrates particularly on spiders. Its main goal was to document their influence on behavioral parameters influencing dispersal abilities such as locomotion and tendency to spread by wind (so-called ballooning). The diploma thesis compares the influence of neonicotinoids on model species, Pardosa lugubris (Walckenaer, 1802) and Phylloneta impressa (L. Koch, 1881) with different modes of prey hunting and compares the influence on adult and nymphal stages. Pesticides Actara® 25 WG, Biscaya® 240 OD, Confidor® 200 OD and Mospilan® 20 SP were applied to the spiders under laboratory conditions and their effect was tested at different concentrations and different methods of application. The biggest impact on spiders had Confidor. It clearly had the most significant negative effect on mobility and a tendency to spider wind propagation. The lethal effects were caused by neonicotinoids in nymphal individuals Pardosa lugubris, especially Confidor (even 100% mortality for tarsal application). During an experiment studying the...

Vliv sekundárních metabolitů (esenciálních olejů) na endofytické houby kolonizující listy Rhododendron tomentosum / The effect of secondary metabolites (essential oils) on endophytic fungi from leaves of Rhododendron tomentosum

Koudelková, Barbora January 2014 (has links)
Rhododendron tomentosum is an evergreen shrub with a high content of secondary metabolites, particularly essential oils with antimicrobial effects. Diversity of endophytic fungi in this species and their possible adaptation to growth in the essential oil environment is not much explored. Therefore, the first aim of this thesis was to reveal the diversity of endophytic fungi colonising leaves of R. tomentosum on seven localities in the Czech Republic and one in Estonia. I isolated and determined (using comparison of ITS1 and ITS2 rDNA with the sequences from GenBank and morphological signs) 37 species of endophytic fungi. Among them the ubiquitous species colonising the most of the plants as endophytes were dominant. The second aim of my thesis was to explore whether the essential oil from R. tomentosum influences its endophytic fungi. The hypothesis that the strains obtained from R. tomentosum would be adapted to growth in the environment of the essential oil was postulated. I supposed that they would grow better on mediums with different concentrations of these chemical compounds added, in comparison with strains of the same species obtained from different substrates. Within four of seven species tested, the strains obtained from R. tomentosum grew better, but also on the medium without the...

Sebemedikace konopím u osob trpících roztroušenou sklerózou / Self-medication with cannabis by people who suffer from multiple sclerosis

Štosková, Jana January 2015 (has links)
SITUATION: Multiple sclerosis belongs to the most common chronic neurological disease of the central nervous system. The disease is incurable, however it is treatable. Modern medicine has a variety of medications to relieve the symptoms and slowing the onset and progression. In many cases, however, treatment is not effective and often causes side effects. Cannabis and its products are used in the symptomatic and causal therapy of many diseases. The efficacy of cannabis treatment in multiple sclerosis is confirmed by several studies. Medical cannabis is a way how to relieve pain and muscle spasms. In 2013 in the Czech Republic there have been changes in laws allowing prescribing cannabis for medical treatment. OBJECTIVES: The study's goal is to describe the issues of self-medication using medical cannabis from the perspective of people suffering from multiple sclerosis. The primary objective is to map the following areas: introduction to cannabis and motivation to self- medication, frequency and methods of self-medication, therapeutic effects experienced during self-medication, side effects experienced during self-medication, perspectives of cannabis use in the future. METHODOLOGY: Self-selection in combination with snowball sampling method was used to obtain survey respondents. Data in this study...

Mediální obraz Vietnamu v tištěných médiích / Media image of Vietnam in printed media

Hantonová, Barbora January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis concentrates on the media coverage of Vietnam in 2012, particularly in four Czech newspapers. Applying qualitative and quantitative method, it analyzes 358 articles, which appeared throughout the selected newspapers in 2012. This paper is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part describes Vietnam in the 20th century, the history of Czech-Vietnamese relations as well as the main media concepts that help to create a media image. The practical part of the quantitative method answers the research questions, which have been put forward at the beginning of the research. The data, such as the frequency of the topic during the year, topics that are usually connected with Vietnam, occurrence of the word Vietnam in headline and the amount of articles in which Vietnam is the main topic will be depicted using graphs and tables. The results of the qualitative analysis will then show, which characteristics are attributed to Vietnam in Czech daily press.

Zobrazení dětí v časopisech pro rodiče v roce 2013 / Children in magazines for parents in 2013

Fišer, Ondřej January 2016 (has links)
The main aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the way that magazines for parents communicate with their readers and to identify the role of the representation of children. A selection of articles representing both commercial and noncommercial communication is analyzed using the method of semiotic analysis. The introductory part of the thesis, briefly presenting the history of media research, is followed by a section describing the way that motherhood and the status of a child has been perceived throughout history, with special attention to the influence of Christianity. Following chapters focus on the changes of the social role of women that enabled the rise of women's periodicals, both in the USA, Europe and also in the Czech lands. The part dedicated to legislation introduces the most significant legal definitions of children and childhood in relation to media. The analytical part of the thesis is preceded by a brief characterization of the selected magazines and an explanation of the method of semiotic analysis. The analysis results in the description of meaning bearing elements of the individual pieces of information which are placed in a wider social context. The summary offers a review of the most significant findings relating to the communication of periodicals with their readers, the...

Polární ferrocenové amidofosfiny pro katalytické aplikace / Polar ferrocene amidophosphines for catalytic applications

Schulz, Jiří January 2012 (has links)
5 Abstract The formerly reported hydroxyamide Ph2PfcC(O)NHCH2CH2OH 1 and its respective novel congeneric analogues Ph2PfcC(O)NHCH3−n(CH2OH)n (3: n = 2; 4: n = 3) were used to prepare a series of arene-ruthenium(II) complexes [(η6 -arene)RuCl2(L-κP)] 6-8 (arene = C6H6, p-cymene, C6Me6; L = 1, 3 or 4). These complexes were studied as pre-catalysts in redox isomerization of allylic alcohols to carbonyl compounds. Among the compounds prepared, complex 6b [(η6 -p-cymene)RuCl2(1-κP)] showed best results. The solid state structure of the product of photolytic decomposition of complex [(η6 - C6Me6)RuCl2(2-κP)] (2 = Ph2PfcC(O)N(CH2CH2OH)2), viz, [(µ-Cl)3{Ru(η6 -C6Me6)}2] [FeCl4] 9, was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The bis-phosphane complexes [MII Cl2(1-κP)2] (M = trans-Pd (10), cis-Pt (11) and trans- Pt (12)) together with chalcogenide derivatives Ph2P(O)fcC(O)NH(CH2)2OH (13) and Ph2P(S)fcC(O)NH(CH2)2OH (14) derived from hydroxyamide 1 were tested in vitro for their cytotoxicity against human ovarian A2780 cancer cell line. Complexes tested showed moderate cytotoxicity. Triol-amide FcC(O)NHC(CH2OH)3 15 (Fc = ferrocenyl) reacted with decavanadate (Bu4N)2[H3V10O28] at elevated temperature and prolonged reaction time yielding the hybrid hexavanadate (Bu4N)2[{FcC(O)NHC(CH2O)3}2V6O13] 16...
