This work is aimed at deposition of fibers, which are able to penetrate deeper in the human respiratory airways and cause health hazards. Opening chapters are dedicated to classification of aerosols, human lung anatomy basics and methods for measurement of micrometer-sized aerosols. An experiment was carried out to investigate the deposition of fibers. Fibers were delivered into the silicon cast of the human airways and data of deposition fraction and efficiency were acquired. A new method was established to acquire the data. This method works on a principle of image analysis. Results of the new method were compared with a standard method, which follows a methodology NIOSH 7400.

Output of this work is to determine the efficiency of a particular produced model of decentralized ventilation unit and overview of the possibilities increased efficiency of heat recovery of this units.

The proposed laboratory task "Experimental measurement of the effectiveness of gears" is intended to familiarize students with the basic principles of gears and especially highlight the issue of the effectiveness of gears. In this presented thesis, it is also suggested the possibility of expanding the educational use of the experimental station. This extension deals with vibration diagnostics of frequencies of gears.

The second part is about calculations and engineering desing of the prototype hot-water fireplace „Kárlovka“. The last part of diploma thesis verifies the parameters of the desingned fireplace insert by experimental test in two different measurement setup, where there are compared to results obtained with the results of calculation.

This master´s thesis deals with the constructional and calculation design of the boiler for burning wood and sub-bituminous coal. The work is divided into several parts. First, stoichiometrics calculation and enthalpy calculations of air and flue gas are performed. It is calculated heat balance of the boiler, the boiler losses and the thermal efficiency of the boiler is determined. After designing the combustion chamber thermal calculation is made. Then, the dimensions and individual heating surfaces are proposed. At the end of the calculations are controlling the overall energy balance.

The master’s thesis is focused on flow analysis work filling in turbocharged CNG engine. The research method is reverse engineering. The intake canal is casted and than scanned by 3D Scanner ATOS. The CAD model is created in program Creo Parametric 2.0. In the created interactive model is simulated flow in the CFD program Star CCM +. The air intake system is modified for increasing the charging efficiency of the engine.

The purpose of this Diploma Thesis is the construction design of the steam boiler with natural circulation for the combustion of wood biomass according to the specified parameters. It is the boiler with the power of 12 tons per hour of superheated vapor output parameters of 3,3 Mpa at a temperature of 400 °C and a temperature of feed water 105 °C. For the specified parameters I first calculated the stoichiometric calculations, boiler efficiency, and followed by using geometrical parameters of the blocks and thermal calculations set design and the number of heat transfer surfaces, depending on the input parameters of the air and water and output parameters of vapor. The work also includes drawings of the boiler.
