Previous issue date: 2017-12-15 / The aim of this research was to analyze Otakar Ševčík’s methodological approach to the violin initial
learning and to demonstrate the auditory reference construction points for the placement of the left hand
fingers on its strings, starting with the ‘Semitone System’ finger patterns inserted in his ‘Violin Method for
Beginners’ op. 6. The cognitive development process in learning was discussed, as well as the applicability
of methodological procedures related to the present muscular and auditory memory in the mentioned
pedagogical proposal. The research methodology was ‘Qualitative’ with methodological procedures of
‘Bibliographic Survey’ and ‘Documentary Analysis’, which enables the identification of relevant
information and data, so that relations with the Otakar Ševčík teaching methodology could be established.
The bibliographical survey organization and the research relevant documents resulted in a ‘Corpus of texts’
firstly with excerpts of specific music authors which highlight the use of auditory references and finger
patterns in violin teaching and learning methodologies; and secondly with pedagogical literature authors
that according to the researcher could base the pedagogical practice of Ševčík (1901a): Morin (2007),
Penna (2011), Harder (2003), Bourdieu, cited by Sandra Pesavento (1995), Folleto (2010), Gerle (2015),
Perdomo Guevara (2005), Swanwick (1994) e Póvoas (2006). The research highlighted the publication
importance of Ševčík’s pedagogical works as a factor that since 1881 may have led to a complete violin
pedagogy transformation and consequently in it’s teaching and learning. The analysis of the ‘Corpus of
texts’ made it possible to identify one (1) category to highlight: ‘Teaching / Learning’. It is concluded that
there is an inseparable relationship between violin teaching and learning. The analysis of Otakar Ševčík’s
methodological approach to initial learning has pointed to interconnection of cognitive processes in
simultaneous complex movement execution in initial learning, and it was possible to identify orderly and
determinant methodological procedures that can lead to auditory reference construction and gradual
development of differentiated technical skills in the course of violin initial teaching and learning process.
análise do ‘Corpus de textos’ possibilitou a identificação de 1 (uma) categoria a destacar: ‘Ensino/
Aprendizagem’, concluindo-se que há uma relação indissociável entre ensino e aprendizagem do violino. A

What is the “Ševčík Method”? : Deeper understanding of Otakar Ševčík’s excercises for violin based on the example of his 40 Variations, op. 3Kwiatkowska, Angelika January 2020 (has links)
In this thesis I have studied the so-called “Ševčík method” based on the example of his 40 Variations, op. 3. I’ve tried to achieve a deeper understanding of what the exercises are good for and how they work. I took a closer look at Otakar Ševčík’s life and work history, I also investigated other’s opinions and judgements of the “method” that were appearing in press and literature during the last hundred years. The practical part of my project is the experiment that I’ve put myself through. I was diligently practicing 40 Variations every day, trying to improve my technique and learn by playing how to apply those exercises in real life. As a result of this process I’ve developed my bow technique and gained better understanding of how to use Ševčík’s exercises. / <p>The sounding part of the work consists of the following recordings:</p><p>1)Mozart before 2) Mozart after 3) Rossini before 4) Rossini after</p><p>The Corona virus situation spring semester 2020 has caused limitations in the recording possibilities. The recordings may be supplemented. </p>

Metody výuky houslové hry se zaměřením na metodu Suzukiho a Colourstrings / Violin Teaching Methods With the Focus on the Suzuki Method and Colourstrings MethodKořenová, Zuzana January 2018 (has links)
The Diploma Thesis addresses the methods of teaching playing the violin and related teaching materials. The first part of the Thesis is devoted to traditional Czech schools, which are at the moment the most common resource material used at the Czech ZUS basic fine arts schools. I briefly introduce methodical materials intended for the education of beginners by Josef Micka and Magdalena Micková, Otakar Ševčík, Jan Čermák and Jaroslav Beran, Zdeněk Gola and Eva Bublová. The second part, being the centrepiece of the Thesis, is focused on two pedagogical methods which are non-Czech by origin - namely the Suzuki method and the Colourstrings method. Shinichi Suzuki created his method in post-war Japan and his accent in teaching playing an instrument is in the development of the potential of a person as well as the society, not really achieving true mastery in violin playing. The Thesis includes a description of its cornerstones and foundations. The last method addressed in the Thesis is the Colourstings method, emerging partly from the Suzuki method. Its author, Géza Szilvay, created it for his daughter, now a professional violinist. Szilvay is currently heavily involved in a tour of lectures on musical pedagogy and long-distance teaching projects. He is based at The East Helsinki Music Institute and...

Neoficiální československá architektonická scéna v 80. letech 20. století / Unofficial Czechoslovak Architecture Scene of the 1980sPoláčková, Tereza January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the architectonic tendencies in 1980s in Czechoslovakia which were aside the stream of the official design studios and The Czech architects Union. The aim of the diploma thesis, based on the particular examples of free architectural groups, exhibitions and other activities they had in common, to create vivid and complex image of tendencies in monitored period. The situation of centralized building production is described in the introducing part - what made the youngest and middle generation of architects to attempt at the change of architectonic production and also the status of own profession. In individual chapters you can learn about syndicates "Středotlací", "Vokolo Vosmýho", "Obecní dům" and "Zlatí Orli". The first common exhibitions of graphic artists and architects in early 80s and later the exhibitions of painted/paper architecture arranged by "Technical magazine" between 1985 and 1990 are introduced in the paper. Česká škola violové hry / Czech school viola playMokrá, Eva January 2017 (has links)
I focus on viola performances in the Czech surroundings in my thesis. I follow the topic of my Bachelor thesis. I resume the history of the instrument playing in my introduction; then I follow the development to the string quartet from its origin - turn of the 19th and 20th centuries until today. I analyze the artistic career of some chosen quartets, which are characteristic for certain period. I especially take notice of important Czech viola players (Herold, Škampa). I introduce two contemporary figures of the viola play (Doležal, Pěruška) in the practical part and I offer comparison of the interpretations of Dvořák's compositions done by three different string quartets from different periods.
