Title: Relationship of a child with Asperger syndrome and his family to school Author: Tereza Měšťáková Department: Psychology Supervisor: PhDr. Veronika Pavlas Martanová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with the relationship of a child with Asperger's syndrome and his family to school. The work aims to map the nature of these relationships and factors that may affect this relationship in specific children with AS and their parents. The theoretical part of the work is divided into two main sections. The first chapter focuses on Asperger Syndrome and its specifics, which are manifested in the school environment, on the relationships of children with this syndrome to classmates and teachers. The second part deals with the relationship between family and school. Attention is paid to the dilemmas of this relationship, the possibilities of its development and the relationship of the family with a problematic child to school The empirical part of the thesis presents qualitative research, which was carried out by the method of semi-structured interviews with five second-graders with Asperger Syndrome educated in ordinary primary schools and their parents. Vývoj školy v Mlazicích v historickém kontextu / Development of Mlazice school in the historical context

This work focuses on the first comprehensive describing of the history of the school in Mlazice. Everything is set within the wider framework of the development of the village and its immediate surroundings. There are also circumstances that contributed to the establishment of this school. Some chapters summarize the history of Czech education and the historical development of Mlazic and its surroundings, with an emphasis on these circumstances. The school in Mlazice was founded in 1902. Most of the materials are taken from the fund of the district archive in Mělník. Based on the preserved school chronicles from 1902-1973, the development of a small village school is shown. The history of this also reflects the individual specifics of the historical periods that the school went through.At first, only men taught here, and gradually women were added. In the last year, which is carried out in chronicles, only women have taught here. I also tried to highlight more important celebrations and other events. Most of the children of the workers went to this school, so lectures and trips at the beginning were not much organized. Chronicles also contain what donations the school has supported. This diploma work describes educational trial in small village school in the context of inclusive education. It is focused on teaching united classes and teaching pupils with special educational needs. Theoretical part contains characteristic of small village schools, describes their historical evolution, typical features of teaching and position assistant of teacher in these schools. In the following subsections are determined special learning disabilities, theirs causes of origin and regulars pedagogical intervention. And then is focused on theme of inclusive education. Targets of practical part were to find experiences of teachers at small village schools, to choose ideal didactical methods and organizational forms, which are suitable for differentiation and individualization in the teaching, after that to make a proposal of methodical support, that to verify in practise and to evaluate its. The central theme of this diploma thesis is to analyze key stress factors, which foreign background students meet during their integration in the Czech Republic. All respondents are recruited from the Eastern European countries, for instance, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. Two main groups include: - students who are in the Czech Republic less than one year - students who are in the Czech Republic for more than one year The primary research method was using a semi-structured interview with eight respondents. For measuring acculturative stress level was used the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), which was filled in by 36 students. There were found differences in the adjustment level and language competence among two groups of students. This research has also confirmed the relationship between the length of stay in the Czech Republic a level of acculturative stress. This thesis examines prerequisites of the implementation of environmental education in the Czech Republic. It identifies fundamental problems of the current implementation of environmental education and presents key points which the policy should focus on in order to improve the quality of environmental education. This is achieved by analysing public documents and a research of the actual execution of environmental education on high schools in Prague. Environmental education is considered to be the primary instrument to apply the concept of sustainable development. The methodology is based on an analysis of primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative data. The theory of implementation is used as the theoretic basis of the thesis. A research of the execution of environmental education on different types of schools is included. There are subtle differences in the way how different types of schools implement environmental education, the most developed education is on technical high schools which provide four-year programmes concluded by graduation. ABSTRACT: The thesis is focused on the process of socialization of children with ADHD in family and school setting. We present the overview of current research about etiologies, symptoms and therapy of the syndrome. The socialization is defined as the process of interactions between individual and his social and cultural background. ADHD symptoms are considered to be an important factor in socialization process, particularly as the factor affecting the relationships with parents and teachers. The research is focused on children of preschool and school age. We pose research questions concerning the influence of setting the diagnosis, the influence of ADHD on child's relationships with educators and the influence of the diagnosis on the relationship between family and school. Design of research is taken from study of Klaassen and Huwae (2006) which has been done recently at Netherland elementary schools. PhDr. Karel Rýdl, CSc. ABSTRACT: The subject of the research of the thesis is the issue of external evaluation, particularly technical and vocational schools by partners at the same level (peer review). In the theoretical part is paid attention to concepts associated with the development of the school, the peer review is set in the context of other forms of external evaluation in education in general level and then describes the current state of the external evaluation of schools in the Czech Republic. For the empirical research was designed mixed methods design. When the research was, along with other research methods effected multiple case study - fed 4 specific stories of peer review in the Czech Republic. From the findings have been identified following supportive factors peer review: attitudes toward evaluation, condition, experience with evaluation, competency of the participants, of the interaction rated the school and peers and support peer review. The current thesis deals with proces od adaptation of headmasters in its working position. In the theoretical part is focused on the presentation of the school as a system, the specifics of education system and its management, the actual work of heads of schools and the process of adaptation of headmasters. In the practical part I focused on the beginning of the headmasters career, and the process of adaptation of the headmasters on the professional role. I was looking for phenomena that are typical start headmaster career, how they affect the process of adaptation but also the rest of the headmaster career. To obtain the necessary data, I chose a qualitative research, namely the form of interviews that I conducted with ten directors of elementary schools in Praha and in Kraj Vysočina.
