This final thesis deals with the topic of Managerial competence of managers of kindergartens in the Czech Republic. It is based on the current needs of kindergartens to describe the issue of managerial competencies for each management position in this type of school, especially with accordance to their further education and evaluation. Aim of this diploma work is to analyze and identify the key managerial competencies that are substantial and significant for individual performance management functions in kindergartens. Its first part is focused on the explanation of the theoretical approaches. The research part presents some of the findings on the issue of competence, offers a competency model for managerial positions in the nursery schools, and helps to explain the current educational needs of their managers. Final part of this work suggests recommendations to the founders, directors and other executive workers of nursery schools or educational centers for lifelong learning.

This diploma thesis deals with the areas of the position and education of head teachers in the historical context. It views the development of teaching and head teaching professions on our territory in individual periods and also presents the picture of teachers' and head teachers' education. The thesis provides information which deal with the development of the society in the relationship towards education and also respecting individual participants of the education and upbringing processes. In the thesis selected monographs, expert texts, laws, legal regulations and school documents are used. The findings were compiled into thematic units arranged chronologically and according to historical development. The contribution of this thesis is to create a brief overview of the development of the head teacher's position which will be possible to be used for a more detailed study of the subject field.

7 ABSTRACT: This thesis analyzes the final thesis, bachelor's and master's ones defended at The School Management Centre Department of the Education Faculty of Charles University in Prague for the period from 2010 until 2012. This thesis deals with cluster analysis theses dealing with the term competence, particularly in the area of school leadership, that leaders and managers of schools. Theses researches of adequate extent i.e. eight bachelor's and three master's theses, will also focus on competence in the field of personnel management at schools. A qualitative method will be used for the thesis work, which will be conducted content analysis of the text and its interpretation, whose main tool is an effective methodological comparison. It is necessary to observe the principle of objectivity. The final theses will not be evaluated otherwise objectively compared. The thesis work is indicating any differences between claims that have not been investigated. The comparison will focus on the tools to determine ways of grasping the subject, the author styles, etc. The resulting model presents a comparison of research expertise of final university thesis dealing with common theme competence in the field of school leadership, summary knowledge of the topic. Subject of the thesis named Nursery Schools in the Town of Tabor between 1948 - 2010 is to describe the historical development of nursery schools in Tabor. The main goal of the thesis is to research development of Tabor's nursery schools. The thesis is divided into ten chapters. These concerns with the history and characteristic of the town Tabor, preschool institutions and its development in Bohemia, school system in Tabor, nursery schools in Tabor till 1945 and after 1945, history of four oldest nursery schools in Tabor, criteria of public holidays and children's healthcare in four oldest nursery schools in Tabor and comparison on base of chronicles. The thesis is a historical study and analysis ensuing from primary sources. There is used a historical method and primary documents and comparative methods in the thesis. The issue is research of the nursery school development in Tabor between 1948 and 2010.

The thesis follows up citizenship competence of a teacher and its influence on the conception of teaching. It shows components of the citizenship competence and presents it in the personality of the teacher, in educational and other documents, in education generally and in teacher's active approach in school and in life. Qualitative research looks into the influence of citizenship competence of the teacher on his approach to teaching. It introduces the personalities of teachers of civic and social sciences, their views on citizenship competence and its parts, which they observe on themselves. The research results also present an overall approach to developing this competence in pupils and students and ways of promoting good citizenship in school. The topic of an apolitical school also mentioned in the thesis. Interviews with teachers and observations of teaching are used as research methods.

The thesis is dedicated to stimulations programs for preschool children and children with postponed schooling. The work is divided into five chapters. The first few chapters are focused on the information which is necessary for understanding the topic. These are about a psychological definition of pre-school age, as well as the issue of entering into a school, followed by a chapter about diagnostics, which usually come before the stimulation. Another chapter is focused on the actual stimulations programs, it contains their theoretical description, but also the information needed to create them. In the fifth chapter, an example of stimulation program was created. Its functionality is supported by the observations at the beginning of the program and during the program. The aim is to make a guide about creating of stimulation programs in the frame of the preschool preparation.

This diploma thesis engages in the issue of protection of children's health. It focuses on the prevention occurrence of accidents among children. The aim of this thesis is to refer to the importance of this topic and to realize the project, in which primary school pupils have an opportunity to reduce the rate of accidents actively. The theoretical part presents epidemiological data about childhood's accidents, warns of the specifics of psychomotor development of primary school children. In addition to inform about the methods of intervention and prevention levels and it gives an overview of organizations which engage in the protection of health. The practical part presents the results of a survey that addressed the teachers in point of view on idea of leadership in teaching by older primary school pupils. Then constitute the specific prevention project in which fifth grade pupils prepares a lesson on the subject of injury prevention for the second grade pupils. Conclusion the practical part includes modifying the original project and recommendations for teachers, based on the experience gained in implementing the project.

The dissertation Potential of Small Scholl deals with specific features of this kind of schools. The paper presents the role of small schools in the school system, mutual interaction at schools, distinctive forms of organization and methodical approaches aiming at defining particularities of this kind of school. We have drawn a comparison of a small school and an ordinary primary school based on two case studies. Differences which have been found out can define potential of both types of schools. The results of the research have brought us recognition that the potential of a small school is conditioned by its size and low numbers of pupils in classrooms. These conditions enable creating such learning environment that provides a pupil with specific performance of school attendance. Other significant aspects are mutual cooperation among pupils themselves as well as among teachers and parents within a small social group or implementation of schooling in mixed age groups which leads particularly to respect and acceptance of otherness and of pupils with specific educational needs.
