The aim is to reveal segments of the food market and to identify factors that affect consumer's behaviour during the food purchasing. Questionnaire survey is used to meet the goal and cluster analysis is used to achieve consumer segmentation. Outputs are marketing recommendations created on the base of emerging segments.

Title of diploma thesis: Comparison of the conditions for leisure rowing in Portugal and in the Czech Republic Author: Bc. Kristýna Kyselá Supervisor of diploma thesis: Prof. Ing. Václav Bunc, CSc. Objective: Mapping the attitudes with opinions of rowing coaches from outside Prague rowing clubs on the implementation and management of leisure rowing by adults in clubs of their competence. Then determination whether the demand for courses for newcomers with no previous experience with rowing correspond with offer in the interviewed rowing clubs. Methodology: To meet the objectives of the work was made survey, which was conducted with fourteen responsible rowing coaches from different rowing clubs from seven regions. Results: This thesis contributed to the possibility of using rowing for addressing the decrease of the fitness and change from a sedentary lifestyle to an active, when rowing positively affects several components of fitness. Based on the investigation it was found that it is an interest in leisure rowing in rowing clubs outside of Prague, where in six sections leads to its realization. The research also pointed out that the main problem of the introduction of leisure rowing into the clubs outside of Prague is money. First part of this work introduces the history of life insurance, the division of life insurance and legislation of insurance in the Czech Republic. Another part is devoted to the advantages and disadvantages of life insurance. Furthermore, life insurance is compared as protection and as saving or investment. In this context, attention "TANK" indicator. Another part of the work deals with the development of life insurance. In part that concerns the simulation of life insurance in the other life-cycle of the clients there are described three situations according to the age of the client: a 20-years old client, a 40-years old client and a 65-years old client. The conslucions of this work was to show practical examples of advantages and disadvantages of life insurance, its practical application in practice and compare in this context, term insurance and unit link insurance.

The work further provides the comparison of investment life insurance products of selected insurance institutions. The comparison is made on the basis of selected parameters and model examples. Conclusions and recommendations of this study could help to everybody participated in pension system and with a focus on modern form of life insurance.

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of life satisfaction of children. Theoretical part of the thesis characterizes the term well-being according to various authors and the issues of its Czech translation. Theoretical part also explains approaches to well-being, its components and predictors. The diploma thesis characterizes the term life satisfaction and its predictors as well. In addition, this thesis summarizes the approaches to measurement of life satisfaction of both adults and children. The crucial part of the thesis is the presentation of selected international and Czech researches carried out in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the thesis is to compare methodologies of these researches with respect to the description of research sample, data collection and measurement of life satisfaction. The thesis also aims to compare the results of selected studies and find out whether Czech children are satisfied or not. The results of this thesis show that Czech children are in general satisfied; all selected studies have confirmed that. The researches differ on whether girls are less or more satisfied than boys. Within the diploma thesis the following features have been implemented - summarized data about health and healthy lifestyle specialized age bracked collage students. There are also listed correct catering habits, healthy nutrition, drinkable mode, sleep and moving activity. Further there are summarized determinants the most damage health, like a smoke, excessive alcohol consumption, drug abusing, excessive mental load and risk sexual behavior. In the practical part of the thesis there is investigation of questionnaire located healthy lifestyle level of collage students on different universities in Prague. For evaluation my investigation of questionnaire I evolved my own method with own graduated scale for healthy lifestyle. The reason to develop my own method was that I did not find any sufficient scale or method in any publication focused on lifestyle that would globally cover all topics of my questionnaire. Results are illustrated in graphs and confronted among each other at first in particular areas healthy lifestyle and then globally evaluated according to norm of healthy lifestyle. Attachments of this thesis is questionary exploited during investigation of questionnaire on four universities in Prague.

This diploma thesis is focused on the methods used for protecting the environment, which can be found in Czech legislation. Mentioned methods are those, which are used to prevent further deterioration of the environment. Particular groups of these methods create a system, where the methods support and complement each other. To the methods used for protecting the environment belong ordinary methods as well, however, only the legal methods are introduced in this thesis. In addition to dividing the methods into legal and ordinary, these methods are further divided into direct and indirect, general and special. The group of the legal methods consists of conceptual, administrative- legal, economic and vindicatory methods. Conceptual methods are direct and include various plans, programmes or conceptions. Administrative- legal methods are directly effective as well and include commands, restrictions, permissions, standpoints, expressions, standards and limits. Economic methods are indirect and consist of taxes, fees, tax benefits, loans etc. Vindicatory methods are direct and they are related to the application of tort liability and responsibility for environmental damage.

Diploma thesis: Legal regulation of protection of animals against cruelty This diploma thesis deals with national and transnational legal regulation of the protection of animals against cruelty. It comprises of four chapters. First chapter concerns ethical grounds of given issue and it provides analysis of term "animal welfare". Second chapter contains the most significant transnational legal rules of the protection of animals against cruelty adopted within the Council of Europe or the European Union. Third chapter includes national legal rules. It defines basic terminology, determines fundamental principles and considers certain sections on the basis of classification of animals according to the Act on Protection of Animals against Cruelty, No. 246/1992 Coll. It summarises sanction legal options and related practice. The last fourth chapter describes legal regulation of this sfere in Ireland, particularly with emphasis on newly passed Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013.

The first chapter contemplates the history of hunting. The second chapter provides a detailed overview of the sources of the hunting legislation. The analysis covers the sources of the Czech legislation, the European legislation and international treaties. The third chapter is the key chapter of the thesis. It encompasses a detailed analysis of the applicable Czech hunting law. The fourth and last chapter contains the hunting legislation of the Slovak Republic. A part of this chapter is a comparative analysis of the Czech and Slovak hunting legislation. The main objective of this thesis is to analyse in detail the current hunting legislation, to emphasise the major deficiencies and to propose appropriate solutions.

Resilience and perceived life purpose are phenomena which have been getting more and more attention in foreign literature recently. The results of resilience and life purpose research has its own place in psychotherapy, psychological consultancy and preventive care. The purpose of the theoretical part of diploma thesis was first to present the concepts of resilience and perceived life purpose as separate areas, and then to connect them into an interacting unit. The theoretical part of the thesis refers to the age - related specifics of resilience in connection to developmental tasks of each stage. The aim of the empirical part of diploma thesis was to prove the relationship between resilience and perceived life purpose using a research sample (N = 231), which was being measured by three questionnaire methods - Connor - Davidson Resilience Scale (CD - RISC), Life Engagement Test (LET) a LOGO - test. Another step in the empirical part was to find out if there are differences in grades of resilience and perceived life purpose between two groups (age 18 - 30 and 31 - 65). The results of the empirical part have proven a significant relationship between both variables.
