Αξιολόγηση της αποτελεσματικότητας των ΔΕΠΠΣ/ΑΠΣ/νέου εκπαιδευτικού υλικού. Παιδαγωγική και διαχειριστική διάσταση

Η εισαγωγή της διαθεματικότητας στη χώρα μας υλοποιήθηκε στη χώρα μας με την πιο πρόσφατη μεταρρύθμιση των Αναλυτικών Προγραμμάτων Σπουδών (ΑΠΣ), στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 2000, μέσω του προγράμματος παραγωγής των ΔΕΠΠΣ/ΑΠΣ/νέου εκπαιδευτικού υλικού. Στην παρούσα διατριβή επιχειρείται η αξιολόγηση του συγκεκριμένου προγράμματος ως προς την παιδαγωγική και τη διαχειριστική του διάσταση. Για την αξιολόγηση της παιδαγωγικής διάστασης αξιοποιήθηκαν μεθοδολογικά εργαλεία του προγράμματος PISA 2003 στην επίλυση προβλήματος, ενώ για την αξιολόγηση τη διαχειριστικής διάστασης του προγράμματος αξιοποιήθηκαν μεθοδολογικά εργαλεία που αφορούν τη συγκριτική αξιολόγηση, τους δείκτες ποιότητας, την αποτελεσματικότητα και την αποδοτικότητα, τα διεθνή πρότυπα διασφάλισης ποιότητας και την ανάλυση κόστους. Το δείγμα της έρευνας αποτέλεσαν 496 μαθητές της Γ΄ Γυμνασίου από 62 Γυμνάσια της Αχαΐας. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας δείχνουν ότι η εφαρμογή της διαθεματικής προσέγγισης της γνώσης βελτίωσε την επίδοση των μαθητών στην επίλυση προβλήματος και στις ανώτερες νοητικές λειτουργίες, ενώ σε επίπεδο διαχειριστικής διάστασης παραγωγής του εκπαιδευτικού υλικού διαπιστώθηκε η ορθολογική διαχειριστική διάσταση της παραγωγής των ΔΕΠΠΣ/ΑΠΣ/νέου εκπαιδευτικού υλικού. / The implementation of Cross Curricularity in Greece took place with the most recent reform of Analytic Programs of Study (APS), in the beginning of decade 2000 via the program of production of DEPPS/APS/new educational material. In the present dissertation is attempted the evaluation of this particular program as for the pedagogics and its administrative dimension. For the evaluation of pedagogic dimension were developed methodological tools from PISA 2003 in the problem solving, while for the evaluation of comparative developed concrete indicators. It was developed the international quality standards administrative dimension of program were developed methodological tools that concern the comparative evaluation, the indicators, the efficiency, the effectiveness, the International Standards and the cost analysis. The sample of research was 496 students of C class from 62 high schools of Achaia prefecture. The results of research show that the application of Cross Curricularity improved the student performance in problem solving and their higher mental functions, while at managing production dimension of the educational material found rationalize the production of DEPPS of /APS/new educational material.

A study of the existent status of the European educational programs in biomedical engineering / Μελέτη της υπάρχουσας κατάστασης των προγραμμάτων σπουδών στη βιοϊατρική τεχνολογία στην Ευρώπη

- / The impressive progress in the creation of medical knowledge combined with the developments in other related scientific domains and fields of technology, provided during the last 4 decades an excellent ground for the advancement of the Biomedical Engineering (BME) sector. Successful biomedical research led to new diagnostic and therapeutic methods, techniques and equipment, which radically changed the way health care is delivered today. Given this dynamic situation, biomedical engineers today should be prepared to meet existing or forecasted needs by means of knowledge, skills and attitudes that address the demands of the work environment in the broader health care related sector all over the world. This involves academia, medical industry, hospital facilities, as well as administration and, in turn, it imposes new challenges for advanced education in the field. It is therefore necessary to review the educational structures in BME and adapt them to the new demands. This should also face challenges such as wide social access, good regional links and the ability to bring research outcomes and innovation to the biomedical market. All in all given the recent developments in biomedical technology, the market demands and the political pressure for harmonization and mutual recognition on higher education, there is a strong need to reform the curricula of Biomedical engineering programs and implement the ECTS on the basis of students’ workload and learning outcomes. The CRH-BME “Curricula Reformation and Harmonisation in the field of Biomedical Engineering” CR Project Number: 144537-TEMPUS-2008-GR-JPCR (2008-4527) H-BME project is a Joint Project within the TEMPUS IV program and is 95% financed by the Commission of the European Communities. Its aim is to review, update and harmonise the current curricula in BME education, in pace with the most recent developments, the new emerging interdisciplinary domains and market demands and implement a commonly accepted ECT System that will also facilitate student mobility. The work will be carried out through collection of information from the participants, preparation of draft reports and documents by working groups, discussion and approval in meetings between the participating Institutions. Working groups (WGs) will be responsible for delivering the project outcomes, associated with a particular task. Members of these WGs will be experts that have complementary expertise and meet the requirements of a particular task. Standard procedures will be used for the elaboration of the output documents. Document review procedures will apply standardised forms including comments and suggestions. The facilities provided by the Internet and other available telematics means will be exploited. A system will be put in place for systematic feedback from workshop and conference participants, as part of the project monitoring activities. Generic Programs will be designed addressing graduate and postgraduate BME studies. The updated programs will contain (i) a basic core of topics and (ii) elective courses for the BME programs. Attention will be paid to achieve student centred BME programs, instead of staff oriented. A template guidance document for the implementation of QA systems, specific to the field of BME education, will be designed. As a result of the project activities, BME programs at the participating Institutions will be restructured and new study programs will be implemented, according to the generic programs that will be provided. Full members of the project will be 23 participants from 22 Higher Education Institutions, 16 from EU and 6 from Partner countries and 1 non-governmental organisation. This proposal is also supported by the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (EAMBES) [9]. Institutions willing to follow the activities of the project can be invited to participate as observers. Observers are individual experts or academic staff, representing institutions, professional bodies or other relevant parties that will closely observe the project and its development. [1] The current study constitutes actually the very first part of the project and consists in an information record about the existent Biomedical Engineering programs in Europe, the extraction of useful statistical data based on this information and finally α classification approach in regard to the topics of all european MSc curricula in the field of BME.

Απόφοιτοι του τομέα Οικονομίας-Διοίκησης των Τεχνικών Επαγγελματικών Εκπαιδευτηρίων και αγορά εργασίας

Μέχρι σήμερα δεν έχει γίνει καμία προσπάθεια σύνδεσης της τεχνικής εκπαίδευσης με την αγορά εργασίας. Για το λόγο αυτό, στόχος της διατριβής είναι η διερεύνηση της απασχόλησης των αποφοίτων σε θέσεις εργασίας που έχουν άμεση σχέση με τις σπουδές τους, δηλαδή η αντιστοίχιση της εκπαίδευσης με την απασχόληση. Η έρευνα(ποιοτική και ποσοτική)αναπτύχθηκε στους Νομούς Θεσσαλονίκης και Αχαϊας και βασίστηκε σε δομημένο ερωτηματολόγιο. Από την έρευνα που πραγματοποιήθηκε διαπιστώθηκαν, μεταξύ άλλων, και τα εξής: η ανεργία μεταξύ των αποφοίτων είναι πολύ υψηλή εφόσον σε μεγάλο ποσοστό εργοδοτών τα πτυχία των αποφοίτων δεν αντιπροσωπεύουν τίποτα. Επιπλέον, οι απόφοιτοι δηλώνουν ότι μέχρι σήμερα ετεροαπασχολούνται σε εργασίες άσχετες με την εκπαίδευσή τους, ενώ πολλοί είναι και εκείνοι που δεν έχουν εργασθεί ποτέ, επειδή δε βρίσκουν καμία εργασία στην ειδικότητά τους ή σε άλλη ειδικότητα. Τα συμπεράσματα της έρευνας δίνουν έναυσμα για τη διατύπωση προτάσεων που θα συμβάλλουν στην επίλυση του προβλήματος της ανεργίας των αποφοίτων της τεχνικής εκπαίδευσης,όπως η ανανέωση των προγραμμάτων σπουδών, και η εφαρμογή πρακτικής άσκησης των μαθητών σε επιχειρήσεις, η οποία μπορεί να επιτευχθεί μόνο μέσω της ουσιαστικής αρωγής της ουσιαστικής αρωγής της πολιτείας. / Until today, it has not been made any effort to connect the vocational education with labour market. For this reason, the aim of the thesis is the examination of the employment of graduates in job positions that are directly ralated with their studies, which means matching and schooling. The research (qualitive and quantitive) was developed in Prefecture of Thessaloniki and Achaia and was based on a strustured questionnaire. The results of the research, among others, are the following: The unemployment level is very high among the graduates, by the time that a great percentage of employers do not recognize their diplomas. Moreover, almost half of the graduates declare that until today they are employed in jobs, irrelevant to their education, while many others have never been employed because they could not find any job in their speciality or in any else. The conclusions of the research can be taken as a suggestion for the solution of unemployment problem of graduates of vocational education, like the renewal of time- tables and application of practice of students in enteprices, that can be achieved only through the essential help of public sector.
