The earth remains forever" : Ecclesiastes 1: 1-18 as a basis for a Christian, theological environmental ethic as an antidote to the modern emphasis of control and as a new perspective within postmodernism

Smith, Jonathan Alexander 11 1900 (has links)
Currently the world is in the midst of a major ecological crisis, of which climate change is a key element. It is contended that this ecological destruction is largely a result of the underlying values controlling ethics and the controlling instinct of the modern worldview, which has been dominant for the past three centuries. The most recent and still emerging worldview, postmodernism, is examined and contrasted as a rebuttal to the modernistic tendencies and ethics. Utilising Ecclesiastes 1: 1-18, the ethical themes that the author of Ecclesiastes used are explored and paralleled to similar views found in postmodernism. Together, these biblical and postmodern thoughts illustrate how a strong environmental ethic can be formed that counters the modernistic worldview of controlling creation. The outcome of this research is to integrate aspects of postmodern thought with the book of Ecclesiastes to present a theological ethical basis from which a Christian can view and act towards creation. / Systematic Theology & Theological Ethics / M.Th. Kriminalistinio medžiagų ir gaminių tyrimo galimybės: problemos ir perspektyvos / Possibilities of criminalistic investigation of materials and items: problems and perspectives

Gudauskaitė, Aurelija 23 December 2014 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The criminalistic investigation of materials and items is an investigation regulated by process rules and performed by experts or specialists seeking to examine criminal acts and material evidence which requires science, technique, art or other special knowledge and which results are formalized in an expert act or specialist opinion. Criminalistic investigation of materials and items is combined out of a wide range of independent expertise (object investigation) types which are distinguished by the object criteria. It includes fibres, soil, oil, alcoholic liquids, dies and other expertise (object investigation). There are various tasks being formulated for the investigation of materials and items, which are grouped into identificational and non-identificational tasks (the previous group includes both diagnostically and classification tasks). The awareness of what are the main tasks for every independent investigation allows perceiving what the expertise possibilities are: what facts can be approved or denied by the investigation. The legal background of the imposition of expertise (object investigation) is the necessity to perform a special investigation which requires the special knowledge being used in order to determine the circumstances of the criminal act. The qualified arrangement of the investigative material is an essential premise of the execution of the investigation. The investigative objects can be found in both ways, by performing the search of them or by... [to full text]

Porovnání návrhu ŽB konstrukcí podle EN a ACI / Comparison of RC structure design approach according to EC and EN

Hamrlík, Martin January 2015 (has links)
The thesis is focused on the opinion of an office building from the perspective of two different standards and comparing their approaches. These standards is a currently valid European Standard EN 1992-1-1 (EC2) and standard according to US standards ACI 318-11. In this work were considered pillars in the second basement and on the first floor. Was also assessed locally supported slab above the 1st floor and staircase connects the individual floors. All the completed elements were assessed according to the 1st ultimate limit state.

Lávka pro pěší / Footbridge

Grussmann, Jan January 2015 (has links)
Master´s thesis deals with design and complex static assessment of timber roofed footbridge structural system. The calculation part is divided into three main chapters, that are dedicated to determine load impacts on structure, to particular structural and roof members assessment and also to design details of connections. The lower part of structure is formed by flat arched main beams of glued laminated timber, floor beams, stringers and under-deck bracing. The upper part of footbridge is formed by structure of gabled roof and additional bracings. Transversal frames of footbridge copy the shape of arch and they are arranged orthogonally to its axis. They form a radial fan with commom centre in the longitudinal direction. The static scheme of structure is thought as a statically undefinite system thanks to the bedrock surrounding the footbridge.

Problematika zjišťování statického modulu pružnosti betonu v konstrukcích / The issue of determination of the static modulus of elasticity of concrete in structures

Halamová, Romana January 2017 (has links)
The thesis deals with the measurement of the elastic modulus of concrete in existing structures and possibilities of applicability of equations for the calculation of characteristic values of concrete compressive strength on the modulus of elasticity. The modulus of elasticity is determined by dynamic and static methods on specimens taken from the concrete blocks, whose composition varies by a water cement ratio and varying amounts of admixtures. In conclusion, the results of the measurements are compared and the characteristic values of the modulus of elasticity is determined.

Projekt nosné železobetonové konstrukce / Design of Load Bearing Concrete Structure

Klodner, Jan January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is focusing on general issues of floor concrete slabs, technology, implementation, subsoil models, calculation of internal forces and design approaches. Based on these data the thesis monitors the behaviour of floor slabs according to the various parameters. It also includes three versions of design of the real floor slab, made of steel fibre reinforced concrete, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete. Economic comparison is also included. In addition it developes a design of the chalice base and reinforced concrete column of the supporting hall system, instead of the original usual base with steel column.
