Konstrukce experimentálního zařízení pro studium mazání okolků kolejových vozidel / Design of Wheel Flange Lubrication Experimental Apparatus

Nepovím, Radovan January 2012 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with construction design and practical realisation of experimental apparatus for investigation of wheel flange track vehicle lubrication. Experimental apparatus in full-scale uses optical interferometry for investigation of lubrication behaviour in wheel flange contact. It is an innovative approach which has not been used for such experiments so far. The aim of the following measurement with this apparatus is to determine the minimal amount of ecological lubrication in wheel flange contact under certain conditions when there is no lubrication film interruption. The apparatus enables to measure real rail wear. This work contains the apparatus description for the study of wheel flange lubrication, wheel flange contact specifications, the description of its influence on wear and acoustic emission, and a detailed description of the experimental apparatus.

Analýza objemových změn vybraných silikátových kompozitů / Analysis of selected silicate based composites volume changes

Kubeš, Pavel January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of volume changes of selected silicate based composites. The first part introduces the issue of volume changes of concrete, especially the shrinkage process, two selected models for shrinkage prediction, describes configuration and course of performed tests, as well as the processing of measured experimental data. The second part contains input data modified by the program GTDiPS and another calculated parameters. The result of the work is the evaluation of the influence of thermal dilation on the development of shrinkage of young concrete. Another output is the comparison of accuracy of the two selected prediction models to capture the course of measured shrinkage.

Návrh ŽB konstrukcí dle EC 2 a ACI 318 / Reinforced concrete structure design in accordance with EC 2 and ACI 318

Tesárková, Václava January 2013 (has links)
This work deals with the analysis of reinforced concrete structures according to the currently valid standard EN 1992-1-1 (EC 2) compared with the analysis according to the American standard ACI 318-08. Static solution includes an assessment of slab in local supports, calculation of columns and footings according to 1st critical state for both standards. The slab is also assessed according to the 2st critical state according to EC 2.

Elementary Educators' Knowledge, Beliefs, and Planned and Implemented Practices for Digital Citizenship

Walters, Meghan Gail 01 January 2018 (has links)
Limited research has focused on the knowledge, beliefs, and professional practices of elementary educators related to digital citizenship. The purpose of this study was to identify elementary educators' knowledge and beliefs about digital citizenship, as well as understand their plans and implemented practices, supports, and barriers related to digital citizenship instruction. This study was grounded in Mezirow's theory of transformative learning, Siemen's theory of connectivism, and Ribble's concept of digital citizenship. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze data collected from an original survey instrument developed from the literature by the researcher. Participants were recruited using publicly accessible email addresses and the monthly newsletter from Hawaii Society for Technology Education; a total of 74 educators completed the survey. All educators in the district who met the demographic criteria of working at the elementary level as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, or technology coordinator were welcome to participate in the study. Data were analyzed for frequencies and percentages to develop generalized statements about the population. The results indicated, on average, that educators rated themselves with high knowledge and beliefs about digital citizenship concepts with the exception of digital law. Additionally, correlational analysis revealed schools with greater adoption rates of 1:1 technology-device integration had a significant impact on professional practices in digital citizenship implementation and overall instructional practices. This research study contributes to positive social change by helping educational leaders identify what is needed to support educators in teaching with digital citizenship, and especially in supporting those educators in schools which are further behind in adopting 1:1 technology integration.

The Direct Detection and Kinetic Studies of Dimethylgermylene and Tetramethyldigermene In Solution By Nanosecond Laser Flash Photolysis / Dimethylgermylene and Tetramethyldigermene In Solution

Lollmahomed, Farahnaz Begum 10 1900 (has links)

Dimethylgermylene (GeMe2) has been generated by laser flash photolysis of 1,1dimethyl-3-phenylgermacyclopent-3-ene (23) and 1,1,3-trimethyl-4phenylgermacyclopent-3-ene (24) in hexanes at 25°C and its absorption maximum (λmax) has been unambiguously established to be 470 nm. GeMe2 decays with second-order kinetics under these conditions (2k/ε. = (10 ± 2) x 10^7 cm s^(-1)) to give Ge2Me4 (λmax = 370 nm). Kinetic studies of the reactions of GeMe2 and Ge2Me4 with typical germylene/digermene scavengers such as 1,3-dienes, olefins, alkynes, alkyl halides, group 14 metal hydrides, carboxylic acids, and amines have been carried out.

GeMe2 reacts reversibly with MeOH, t-BuOH and THF to form Lewis acid-base complexes which exhibit relatively strong absorption bands that are blue-shifted with respect to GeMe2 (λmax ~ 295-310 nm). The decay of the Me2Ge-MeOH complex is accelerated in the presence of a Brnnsted acid (acetic acid or methanesulfonic acid) or base (MeONa). The reactions of the Me2Ge-THF complex with sodium methoxide, methanesulfonic acid, 4,4-dimethyl-1-pentene, 2,3-dimethyl-1-butadiene, acetic acid and CC4 have also been studied in THF.

The photochemistry of two well-known precursors to GeMe2, namely dodecamethylcyclohexagermane (14) and dimethylphenyl(trimethylsilyl)germane (18) was reinvestigated. Laser flash photolysis of 14 in hexanes led to the formation of two transients, one with λmax= 490 nm (τ < & = 10 ns) and the second with λmax= 470 nm. The latter decays with second-order kinetics with concomitant formation of a new transient with λmax= 370 nm. The transient at 470 nm is assigned to GeMe2 and that at 370 nm to Ge2Me4, based on comparisons to the results obtained from laser flash photolysis of 23 and 24. Laser flash photolysis of 18-in hexane gives rise to two absorption bands centered at λmax = 300 nm and λmax = 430 nm, which are assigned to the dimethylphenylgerrnyl radical and the conjugated gerrnene derivative 38, respectively. GeMe2 cannot be detected in laser flash photolysis experiments with this compound.
/ Thesis / Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Vliv provzdušnění a ošetřování na vývoj modulu pružnosti betonu / Influence of Air Entrainment and Curing on Development of Elastic Modulus of Concrete

Bartulíková, Radka January 2013 (has links)
Master's thesis deals with influence of various factors on the concrete compressive strength and modulus of elasticity. This work concentrates mainly on the influence of early curing and air entrainment of concrete. One part of this work is the evaluation of laboratory measurement, which was carried out on cubes of standard and norm prisms. The development of elastic moduli was monitored in time to 730 days of age with respect to air entrainment and curing conditions. The second part of the experiment deals with a comparison of theoretical creep curves depending on the value of the modulus of elasticity based on different standards. Again, the air entrainment effect and influence of initial conditions are reflected.
