The choice of this work was given as the most important Spanish literature, and moreover, an important book fiction literature. Therefore, We base ourselves on the work of several scholars Cervantes, among them Basanta, Rico and Riquer, being leaders of commemorative editions of 400 years of work in the study. The boldness of this work is to understand the work in question, under an optical Discourse Analysis of French theory and analysis device of the study. We emphasize that the theory was founded by Michel Pêcheus in France in the late sixties and developed in Brazil by Eni Orlandi and followers. Thus, the paper discusses some specific segments discursive chapters of Volume I of the work indicated above. Specifically, it aims to identify effects of interdiscursivity, discursive, ideological and imaginary made the cutouts, as well as establishing a closer relationship between Don Quixote and Discourse Analysis. The analyzes indicate that the speech of knight Don Quixote creates the effect of combating social injustice and Cervantes worked with the novels of chivalry in the form of humor, aiming to pass without censure, by the Inquisition. We conclude the thesis stating that this work does not end here, should be deepened in future doctoral studies and scientific articles. Likewise, we hope to be a path for further research, involving Discourse Analysis and literature.

Edvard Beneš: zahraniční politika druhého československého prezidenta a její vývoj v letech 1938-1945 / Edvard Beneš: foreign policy of the second Czechoslovak President and its development in 1938-1945

Oraiqat, Jakub January 2019 (has links)
In this master's thesis I am researching the foreign policy of Edvard Beneš in 1938- 1945. Foreign policy of Czechoslovakia is closely linked to Beneš as he led it continuously since 1918 - first as a minister of foreign affairs and after 1935 as president. Beneš did reassess his foreign policy after the Munich Agreement and Czechoslovakia emerged from the World War II tightly connected to the Soviet Union without any western counterbalance. This shift in foreign policy subsequently led to transformation of Czechoslovakia into Soviet satellite which is frequent subject to criticism of Edvard Beneš. The goal of this thesis is to analyse the development of the second Czechoslovak President's foreign policy in 1938-1945 and to define the causes of the shift in the foreign policy of Czechoslovakia. I will be focusing mainly on the backgrounds of determining the foreign policy since Edvard Beneš' statements depended mainly on the audience. I want to accomplish that based on research of memoirs and many more documents. I will confront my interpretations of the primary sources with views from the secondary sources. One of the goals of this thesis is also to find out if it's possible to draw new and valuable conclusions by researching available primary sources.

Teatro dei miti in Pirandello e D'Annunzio

Meda, Anna Rosa 02 1900 (has links)
D'Annunzio and Pirandello both as men and as artists can only be placed at the opposite ends of the cultural scene of their times. Yet, it is in myth that their antithetical works finally converge. This study, therefore, analyzes myth in three of D'Annunzio's tragedies where the mythical dimension is more apparent (The dead city, Iorio/s daughter and Fedra) and in the trilogy of myths by Pirandello, which brings his work to its ultimate expression. For both authors the need for myth is born of the painful awareness of modern man's crisis: relative values, a divided personality and no sense of direction. In the timeless and universal dimension of myth it is still possible to achieve totality. The Junghian theory of the archetypes of the collective unconscious, of which myths are cultural manifestations, has proved to be an analytical tool of great importance. By giving access to the deepest level of the texts beyond their cultural and historical layers, it brings to light the otherwise elusive meaning of archetypal images and motives, revealing the true nature of art to be not just the work of an individual but also of collective man. The works, different as they may be, when compared in this perspective have nevertheless yielded some important common conclusions, not only on D'Annunzio and Pirandello as writers but also on their role within the society they lived in and, by extension, our own. For both of them myth, even in a modern context, means essentially the overcoming of the fragmentation, the relativity and the mediocrity of contemporary life. However, in the process of recapturing this mythical dimension, myth itself is bound to be modified. Because it mirrors the modern psyche, it not only interprets its deepest present needs, but also points to its future ones. The central position occupied in their works by the subconscious, emerging from behind the powerful image of the primordial Great Mother, points the way to future psychological development and to the need to regain access to the deepest levels of the human psyche so that its opposing forces, subconscious and consciousness, can meet and be reconciled. / Classics & Modern European Languages / D. The Prostitution of Self-Determination by Hitler in Austria

Bates, Stephen S. 01 1900 (has links)
The right of national independence, which came to be called the principle of self-determination, is, in general terms, the belief that each nation has a right to constitute an independent state and determine its own government. It will be the thesis of this paper to show that the Nazi regime under the rule of Adolph Hitler took this principle as its own insofar as its relations with other nations were concerned, but while they paid lip service to the principle, it was in fact being prostituted to the fullest degree in the case of Austria and the Anschluss of 1938.
