Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a atuação da revista mensal brasileira Seleções do Reader\'s Digest entre os anos 1954 e 1964, publicação norteamericana sob a responsabilidade da Editora Ypiranga S.A., na propaganda ideológica pró-Ocidente durante os anos da Guerra Fria. Apoiando-se na questão da intolerância política, a pesquisa percorreu dois caminhos. No primeiro, foram selecionados para análise e discussão os artigos que veiculavam a temática anticomunista, buscando com isso apreender alguns elementos que envolviam as disputas entre os Estados Unidos e a União Soviética durante a guerra fria, e as representações que os norte-americanos construíam sobre seu opositor, tentando justificar a superioridade da democracia e das liberdades existentes no ocidente, frente à tirania presente nos regimes comunistas. A ostensiva campanha anticomunista que orientava as ações do Reader\'s Digest nos diferentes países, acompanhando a mesma configuração geopolítica da guerra fria, ou seja, o \"cordão sanitário\" promovido pelos Estados Unidos em torno dos países comunistas, negava os esforços para o estabelecimento de uma efetiva coexistência pacífica. A discussão da intolerância política, desembocando necessariamente na questão dos direitos, exige uma investigação mais profunda do aparato jurídico-político. Assim, o outro caminho percorrido pela pesquisa constituiu-se na análise das relações entre Seleções e o mercado brasileiro da imprensa e suas articulações com o campo político-parlamentar, tendo por base os trabalhos da Comissão Parlamentar de Inquérito - CPI n° 33/63, formada em julho de 1963 na Câmara dos Deputados Federais para investigar a atuação das revistas estrangeiras no país / This study had as its purpose to analyze the role, as a pro-West ideological vehicle, of the Brazilian version of the North American monthly newsmagazine Seleções do Reader\'s Digest (under the responsibility of the Ypiranga publishing house), between 1954 and 1964, the years of the so-called Cold War. Based on the political intolerance issue, the research has traveled in two ways. First, we selected those articles exploring anticommunist themes, in order to apprehend the components of the dispute between US and Soviet Union during the Cold War - as well as the representations that North Americans were building about their opponent, trying to justify the superiority of the western democracy and freedom in relation to the tyranny of communist regimes. The ostensive anticommunist campaign that oriented the Reader\'s Digest actions in different countries followed the same political configuration of the Cold War, that is to say: a \"sanitary cord\" promoted, by the US, around communist countries, denying efforts to the establishment of an effective peaceful coexistence. The political intolerance issue conveys necessarily to the question of rights, and so demands a deeper investigation of the juridical-political apparatus. Therefore, the second way we took in this research was the analysis of the relations between Seleções and the Brazilian press market, and its articulations with Brazilian parliament. The base for the analysis was the study of the Brazilian Congress Parliament Committee formed in July, 1963 to make inquiries about the performance of foreign news magazine in the country

O livro é composto por um texto híbrido em que se superpõem autorretratos, cores, colagens, figuras e variados tipos de escrita: pensamentos, poemas, cartas e relatos de sonhos, misturados aos do pretenso cotidiano da autora. Tal qual aparece na sua versão pública, o diário parece ser um interlocutor passivo do pensamento de Frida Kahlo, aparentemente desordenado e sem lógica. Mas, por ele, podemos perceber a potência e a fragilidade de obra e figura da autora, bem como a capacidade de resistir viva dentro de seu tempo e de ultrapassá-lo através do seu legado artístico, no qual encontramos traços da sua memória pessoal, indissociável da memória mexicana. A partir de postulados teóricos em torno da escrita de si, autobiografia, diário, memória e performance, bem como sobre a história e cultura do México, procuraremos entender como Frida Kahlo constrói essa forma híbrida. Denominando-o texto pictórico e interpretando-o como manifestação da poética da autora, trataremos de verificar a hipótese de que, em seu diário, Frida Kahlo usa a performance para encenação de si e da sua obra, mise en abyme. / The central corpus of this research is The Diary of Frida Kahlo, an intimate self-portrait, posthumous edition of the report made by the artist in the last ten years of his life (1944- 1954). The book is composed of a hybrid text overlapping self-portraits, colors, collages, figures and various types of writing: thoughts, poems, letters and stories of dreams, mixed with everyday alleged author. As it appears in its public version, the diary seems to be a passive interlocutor of Frida Kahlo’s thought, apparently disordered and illogical. But, for him, we can see the power and the fragility of the work and figure of the author, and the ability to resist living within your time and pass him through his artistic legacy, in which we find traces of his personal memory, indivisible of Mexican memory.From theoretical postulates about the writing itself, autobiography, diary, memory and performance, as well as on the history andculture of Mexico, we’ll try to understand how Frida Kahlo builds this hybrid form. O teatro de Oswald de Andrade já soma uma considerável fortuna crítica e, neste sentido, apresentamos uma releitura de parte dessa crítica sobre a obra estudada a fim de com ela dialogar e somar, analisando a construção de algumas personagens a partir da articulação e posicionamentos políticos afirmados em suas falas, bem como percebidos em suas ações. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This study analyzes Oswald de Andrade's theater under the political dimension's aspect, from the context of writing plays in the intellectual playwright's performance and the dialectic between art and politics, that's present in plays, on which the root is the discourse of class struggle, aspect that determines the own work's nature, taking it and its author to marginalization, mainly in the intellectual field of the 30's in Brazil, what makes his plays aren't staged at that time. The Oswald de Andrade's theater adds up a considerable fortune criticism, and, in this sense, we present a rereading part of this criticism. About the studied novel in order to talk and add, analyzing the construction of some characters, from the junction and political position, affirmed in his speeches, as well as realized in his actions.
