Previous research findings indicate that suicide among adolescents was the third leading cause of death in the United States between 1970 through 1980 exceeded only by accidents and homicides. An examination of the trends in youth suicide from 1970 though 1980 by age, race and sex disclosed that there was: (1) a significant difference in youth suicide rates by age, sex and race, and (2) there was a significant difference in method of suicide rates by age and sex. The male suicide rates for both races exceeded female rates. The highest rates of suicide were found among the 20-24 year old males. The 20-24 year old white males had the highest suicide rates. The most frequent method of suicide for males was by firearms and explosives, for females, poisoning by the injection of solid and liquid substances. No difference in method of suicide was found between the two age groups (15-19, 20-24). The major finding was that white males 20-24 were the most vulnerable to suicide; and therefore, the targeted group for suicidal counseling. Societal strains and stresses were probably the greatest for the age groups 20- 24; particularly for white males.

Es así como, el presente trabajo pretendemos realizar una investigación que permita acercarnos a la temática de la clase media desde una mirada amplia. Para eso presentamos primero las características de la investigación que guía este trabajo; más tarde nos abocaremos a definir el concepto de clase que se ha de utilizar durante el mismo, para después abordar el tema sobre los elementos que caracterizaron a la clase media chilena en el pasado. Se analizará también cómo la situación de esta clase se vio afectada por las transformaciones estructurales llevadas a cabo por el régimen militar, que fueron acompañadas de concepciones distintas que reestructuran el papel que le cabe a las diferentes instituciones, influyendo con esto los más diversos ámbitos de nuestra sociedad.

Esta tesis busca analizar dos revistas pornográficas creadas en el Perú durante las décadas de 1970 y 1980: Cinco y Zeta. Ambas compartían un mismo interés por tratar de proyectar contenidos políticos mediante el uso de la sexualidad explicita. Se pretende demostrar que las revistas pornográficas en el Perú durante las décadas de 1970 y 1980, utilizaron la pornografía para poder transmitir y difundir ideas políticas a la población. En un primer momento funcionó como una medida eficaz para evitar la censura política, sin embargo, el paso a la democracia y la liberalización de los medios, convirtió a estas revistas en una nueva forma de censura respecto a los contenidos sexuales que presentaban. Así pues, también se analizarán los principales discursos y controversias que se generaron en este proceso, que a su vez nos permitirá conocer los cambios en la sexualidad vividos por la sociedad peruana durante la década de 1980. / This thesis aimes to analyze two pornographic magazines created in Peru during the 70s and 80s: Cinco and Zeta. Both tried to project political content through the use of explicit sexuality. Its intended to prove that pornographic magazines in Peru during the 70s and 80s used pornography to transmit and spread political ideas to the citizens. At first, it worked as an effective measure to prevent political censorship, however, the return of democracy and freedom of speech in the media turned these magazines into a new way of censorship regarding the sexual contents they presented. Therefore, it will also analyze the main discourses and controversies produced by this process, as well as discover and know about the changes in sexuality that the Peruvian society lived through during the 1980s.

Para descrever o ¿estado da arte¿ da educação matemática brasileira, enquanto campo de produção de conhecimento, foram analisados, antes da década de 70, os poucos estudos/pesquisas sistemáticos realizados na área e, após esse período décadas de 70 e 80, as mais de 200 dissertações/teses relativas à educação. Dentre as linhas temáticas de pesquisa que surgiram na década de 80, foram escolhidas duas ¿ Resolução de Problemas e Modelagem Matemática, para uma avaliação/revisão mais sistemática e detalhada. Os resultados sugerem que a educação matemática brasileira, enquanto campo de estudo/pesquisa, teria passado por três fases distintas e viveria hoje uma quarta fase. As duas primeiras corresponderiam às fases da gestação (antes da década de 70) e do nascimento (década de 70) desse campo profissional. A terceira (década de 80) corresponderia à fase do surgimento de uma comunidade nacional de educadores matemáticos, os quais, contribuíram para a ampliação da região de inquérito da educação matemática e para a consolidação das primeiras linhas de pesquisa. A fase atual (anos 90) marca o surgimento de uma comunidade cientifica de pesquisadores na área. Anexo à Tese, é apresentado um catálogo contendo os resumos dos 204 estudos analisados. / Abstract: This study inventories, describes and evaluates brazilin research in mathematics education focalizing on the thematic and methodological-theoretic tendencies, the questions or problems that were the object of investigation, the researchers and orientors of the studies and the centers or programs in wich these studies were produced. To describe the state of the art of brazilin mathematics education as a field of production of knowledge, the few systematic research studies realized before the 1970¿s and the more than 200 dissertations and theses realized in the 1970¿s and 1980¿s related to mathematics education and produced in pos-graduate courses were analyzed. From the thematic lines of research that developed in the 1980¿s, two were chosen ¿ Problem Solving and Mathematic Modeling ¿ from a more systematic and detailed review and analysis. The results demonstrate that brazilin mathematical education as a field of research and study passed through three two phases corresponded to the phases of gestation (before the 1970¿s) and birth (the decade of the 1970¿s) of this professional field. The third phase corresponded to the development of a national community of mathematics educators, who contributed for the amplification of the mathematics educators, who contributed for the amplification of the region of mathematics educational inquiry and for the consolidation of the first lines of research. The actual phase (the 1990¿s) marks the development of a scientific community of scholars in the area. 在國際貨幣經濟發展的領域中一九七三年以前為固定匯率制度；當時的理論文獻偏重 於國際收支理論之研究，而在一九七三年以後，一些主要工業化國家紛紛採取浮動匯 率制度，隨之而來的是各國外匯市場呈現不穩定的波動，其中尤以匯率之變動最為受 到動視，因而於七○年代逐有大量的文獻出現，紛紛對匯率之決定提出探討。其中尤 以貨幣分析法所提出之見解最為受到重視，俺然成為七○至八○年代間貨幣金融的主 導。而其對於匯率之波動確也可以提出合理的解釋，但於一九七八年以後，這些結構 化之貨幣模型的表現卻逐漸地不如人意，遂有學者嘗試以其他觀點進行分析，以實證 研究的觀點來看，利用時間序列模型，當為另一重要的主流。本文主要以上述兩種模 型為基礎進行匯率之估計，進而利用時間序列資料進行匯率之預測。全文共一冊，分 為五章，約三萬字，第一章緒論，第二章為對匯率理論與實證文獻之回顧，第三章則 對於實證研究方法論做一簡介，第四章對於台灣進行實證分析，第五章為結論與建議 。
