This thesis has been written to create a supply of projects financed by Programme 2020 of the enterprise Forests of the Czech republic, s. e. in the area of wood construction. The thesis is devided in three parts. The first analytic part takes into account conditions of participation in public tender. The second technical part, which also includes suggested project documentation, presents three types of projected wooden constructions, which are going to meet public interest objectives, especially as far as vacation is concerned. Their detailed technical solution will be adapted to a concrete place of their realization. This is a project of a view- tower, a foot bridge and a wooden pavilion, while several projects of these constructions have been presented. The last economic part is focused on calculation of these contructions from the point of view of a business subject.

Un grand nombre de chemins forestiers sont présents sur le territoire québécois. Plusieurs de ces chemins sont construits lors de la mise en place de lignes électriques ou de lignes de gaz ainsi que pour l’exploitation forestière. Une fois la construction ou l’exploitation terminée, une forte proportion de ces chemins n’est utilisée que pour le contrôle de la végétation ou pour la vérification des infrastructures. Ces routes ne sont donc presque plus empruntées ni entretenues pendant de grandes périodes, ce qui mène à la dégradation des infrastructures de traverse de cours d'eau. Cette détérioration peut entraîner des dommages considérables à l'environnement. Dans le cadre de ce projet, une alternative de traverse de cours d’eau a été étudiée. Durant cette étude, quatre traverses à gué aménagées ont été mises en place dans deux régions du Québec, soit une en Mauricie et trois sur la Côte-Nord. Le logiciel Hec-Ras a été utilisé afin de modéliser les cours d’eau et les forces de cisaillement exercées sur le lit et les berges Ensuite, un débit de récurrence de 20 ans a été choisi pour la conception des ouvrages. Ce dernier se situe entre 3.92 et 16.17 m3/s pour l’ensemble des traverses, alors que la grandeur des bassins versants ne dépasse pas 14 km2. La longueur totale de l’enrochement prévue sur les différents sites varie entre 12.9 m et 39.6 m en excluant le lit du cours d’eau et le diamètre moyen des pierres prévu est de 100 – 200 mm. Par la suite, les plans de conception ont été effectués sur le logiciel AutoCad afin d’être transmis aux différents entrepreneurs. Les travaux ont eu lieu en octobre et novembre 2018. Finalement, à la suite des travaux, des recommandations ont pu être apportées. Les principales sont que ce type de traverse nécessite l’utilisation de pierre anguleuse, que la mise en place d’une traverse à gué sur un site argileux nécessite un géotextile et qu’il est préférable d’effectuer les travaux en période de débits bas.

Thesis (M.A. (Fine Arts))--University of the Witwatersrand, Faculty of Humanities, School of Arts, 2016. / The early part of this dissertation is concerned with a particular period (1946-­‐1969) in sculptor Louise Bourgeois’ life when her artistry and her psychoanalysis overlapped for the first time. Within this time frame, the years 1952 – 1969 reference a particular period when she was in deep psychoanalysis with Dr. Henry Lowenfeld, a period, which profoundly affected her self understanding and associated art practice. By establishing her positioning within a story of Modernism (as a departure point) I will then go on to consider how the more traditional historical readings of her work can be used to understand her work and behavior within a more pronounced psychoanalytic frame. From this positioning I will reconsider Bourgeois’ artistic practice as being deeply linked to an unconscious need to repair early psychic ruptures with maternal and paternal caretakers. From a Kleinian position I will foreground Bourgeois’ predisposition to sculpt as a reparative enactment driven by her primary internal Object-­‐Relations. Key works and free-­‐associative written material (composed in relation to her psychoanalytic sessions from the outlined time frame) will provide evidence for her psychic shifts over the period. These will be investigated in relation to changes in her sculptural output -­‐ key signifiers of repressed psychic experience, becoming conscious. The dissertation seeks to understand the relationship between these two investigative processes (art and psychoanalysis). Similarly, with reference to Bourgeois, the latter half of this project will investigate my personal (parallel) experience as a sculptor and analysand1 . In relation to both enquiries, I will specifically consider the therapeutic relationship between the physical act of making artworks and the verbal psychoanalytic experience. In an effort to understand how the pairing of these two communicative modalities might impact artistic experience. / MT2017

För att kunna sänka utsläppen av växthusgaserna med 20 procent till år 2020 och med 80 procent till 2050 har de båda länderna (Storbritannien och Sverige) valt att använda sig av olika strategier. Storbritannien har valt en rättsligt bindande lag, The Climate Change Act medan Sverige valt att använda sig av ett av riksdagens miljömål, Begränsad klimatpåverkan, och då med inriktning mot klimatförändringarna. Genom att länderna valt att hantera klimatfrågan med olika strategier, skapas det skillnader och likheter mellan dessa länder. För att kunna synliggöra dessa har en dokumentstudie genomförts. Länderna har även jämförts enligt en komparativ metod och med hjälp av typologier inom dessa fyra kategorier: energimix, klimatpolitiska målsättningar, klimatpolitiska styrmedel och klimatpolitisk ansvarsfördelning. Resultatet belyser de politiska styrningsskillnaderna mellan länderna och deras  klimatpolitiska likheter. Länderna skiljer sig åt politiskt. Storbritannien har delat upp sina åtgärder och styrmedel mellan departementen, medan Sveriges klimatarbete till största del sker i kommunerna. Både Storbritannien och Sverige använder sig av ekonomiska styrmedel och då genom både skatt och olika bidrag. Båda länderna ser detta som ett effektivt sätt att minska klimatpåverkan. Även administrativa styrmedel som regleringar och gränsvärden används i båda länderna. Eftersom de politiska systemen skiljer sig åt mellan de två valda länderna är det svårt att förklara skillnaderna mellan länderna. Min genomgång av det empiriska materialet indikerar dock att Storbritannien har en mer detaljerad väg att gå för att nå de uppsatta klimatmålen.

För att åstadkomma ett effektivt utvecklingsarbete är det av yttersta vikt att undersöka vilka faktorer som leder till stärkt kvinnlig egenmakt. Med hjälp av ekonometrisk analys jämför denna uppsats kvinnlig egenmakt i Rwanda år 2000 respektive 2010. Trots Rwandas omfattande ekonomiska och jämställdhetsfrämjande reformer kan denna uppsats inte visa på mer än marginella ökningar vad gäller kvinnlig egenmakt. Ökningen hittas endast för kvinnor med hög utbildning. I linje med tidigare forskning indikerar resultatet att Rwandas utveckling i många avseenden främst verkar ha gynnat en mer privilegierad minoritet. Inte heller verkar utbildning vara det självskrivna tillvägagångssätt för att öka kvinnors egenmakt som man hade kunnat förvänta sig.

This study seeks to analyze the performative activism and political performance that took place during the Black Lives Matter protests between May and November of the year 2020. Various points of view perceive such acts as merely reductive or otherwise worthy of disdain, however, this study seeks to analyze these acts to identify different components within each performance. The primary focus is to further understand the advantages and disadvantages of performative activism and political performance. This research concentrates on examining the significant social and political impacts of these performances and their symbolic nature. This study also evaluates how discourse related to marginalized communities enters the public sphere and influences it. This study will include the analysis of performance via social media platforms, such as Instagram and Twitter during the 2020 resurgence of Black Lives Matter, including performances carried out by political leaders along the 2020 U.S. presidential campaign trail. / Includes bibliography. / Thesis (M.A.)--Florida Atlantic University, 2021. / FAU Electronic Theses and Dissertations Collection
