La thèse de M. Jordane Fauvey explore un siècle élargi de réception critique de l'ouvre du peintre espagnol Joaquin Sorolla (1863-1923) depuis sa première participation à l'Exposition Nationale de Madrid en 1881, jusqu'à la récente présentation en Espagnede sa dernière oeuvre majeure, Vision de Espaça, de 2007 à 2009. En exploitant comme source principale la collection de presse du Musée Sorolla de Madrid (4.068 articles), l'auteur situe la naissance médiatique de Sorolla en 1895, l'année de son premier succès parisien. Il retrace son parcours de "savonnier" dans les capitales européennes et met tout particulièrement en évidence le paradoxe suivant : Alors que sa peinture lumineuse et dynamique perce à l'étranger, elle est rejetée à Madrid. / Mr Jordan Fauvey's thésis explorés a large century of critical réception of the Spanish painter Joaquïn Sorolla's work tram his first participation to the National Exhibition in Madrid in 1 881 to the récent introduction of his lest major work, Vision of Spain, from2007 to 2009. Exploiting as principal source the press collection of the Sorolla Museum in Madrid (4.068 articles), the author situates Sorolla's mediatised birth in 1895,the year of his fîrst Parisian Success. He recountsh is way in the Europeanc apitale' salons and particularly highlights the following paradox: Although his bright and dynamic painting becomes famous abroad, ït is rejected in Maadrid.

L'Arbre de Jessé est une image particulièrement complexe qui a connu plusieurs variantes iconographiques. Le type christologique complexe est une création byzantine du sujet. Ce type est constitué de plusieurs éléments iconographiques, comme des scènes prophétiques, des figures des ancêtres et des prophètes. A ce noyau iconographique s 'ajouteront à partir de la fin du XIIIe siècle et le début du XIVe siècle les figures des sages et philosophes païens. Dans la présente étude nous examinons l'iconographie de ce type et nous essayons de comprendre, à travers les images et les inscriptions écrites sur les rouleaux des sages païens, cette association afin de retracer ses étapes d'évolution principales dans la peinture murale byzantine et post-byzantine. / The Tree of Jesse is a particularly complicated pictorial theme, which can be found in many different versions. The complex christological type is a purely Byzantine creation. Towards the end of 13th and early 14th century, figures of sages and philosophers of the Greek antiquity are added to this type, which already contains many iconographic elements such as prophetic and evangelical scene and independent figures of prophets and ancestors of Christ. In this study we examine the compositions and the texts of the inscriptions written on the pagan's scrolls this iconographic combination in order to trace its key evolutional stages in Byzantine and post-Byzantine mural painting.

Die Arbeit untersucht Möglichkeiten zur Ausschöpfung des Kundenpotenzials bei internationalen Kunstauktionshäusern. Trotz der Prominenz der Branche ist diese mit ihren vielfältigen unternehmerischen Herausforderungen bislang betriebswirtschaftlich unbearbeitet geblieben. Aufgrund der geringen Zahl von Vorstudien hat die Arbeit explorativen Charakter, was sich in der Literaturrecherche bzw. den Experteninterviews methodisch widerspiegelt. Die Arbeit liefert eine Aufbereitung der existierenden Quellen und eine detaillierte Beschreibung des Geschäftsmodells (Wertschöpfung und Branchenstruktur). Die thematische Einschränkung auf die Ausschöpfung von Kundenpotenzialen erfolgt auf Basis einer Priorisierung mit Branchenexperten. Das Konzept des Customer Relationship Managements (CRM) ergibt in Kombination mit der Beschreibung des Geschäftsmodells einen Bezugsrahmen, der in einem Sollkonzept zur betriebswirtschaftlich fundierten Ausschöpfung des Kundenpotenzials mündet. Dieses Sollkonzept wird mit dem in Expertengesprächen erhobenen Status quo kontrastiert und abgeglichen. Daraus resultieren ein Befund möglicher Differenzen und Hypothesen für deren Ursachen. Riemann-Hilbert-Probleme sind Randwertaufgaben für im Einheitskreis $\mathbb D$ holomorphe Funktionen $w$, deren Randwerte $w(t)$ auf gewissen Kurven $M_t$ liegen sollen. Ein Teil der Untersuchungen ist dem Fall explizit gegebener Kurven gewidmet. Dabei werden bekannte Resultate über glatte Kurven auf stetige Restriktionskurven erweitert, und die Existenz von Lösungen in gewissen Hardy-Räumen gezeigt. Die Eindeutigkeitsfrage führt auf ein Gegenbeispiel, das zugleich eine Vermutung aus einer Dissertation von Belch widerlegt. Der andere Teil der Untersuchungen ist dem klassischen Fall geschlossener Restriktionskurven gewidmet. Hier steht statt der Abschwächung von Glattheitsvoraussetzungen die Formulierung geeigneter Nebenbedingungen im Mittelpunkt. Die Abhängigkeit der Lösung von Zusatzbedingungen erweist sich als Verallgemeinerung des Verhaltens von Blaschkeprodukten. Für drei Interpolationpunkte kann charakterisiert werden, wann durch sie eine Lösung mit Windungszahl 1 verläuft, durch $k$ Interpolationspunkte wird die Existenz einer Lösung mit Windungszahl $k-1$ gezeigt.

En 1981, le sort de la peinture fait l'objet d'annonces les plus contradictoires de part et d'autre de l'Atlantique : un « nouvel esprit en peinture » est célébré au moment même où est promulgué l'acte de décès du medium. Emblème du modernisme greenbergien et repoussoir bourgeois mis à mal par les avant-gardes des années 1960 el 1970, la peinture est prise pour cible privilégiée des théoriciens du postmodernisme, qui réaniment le poncif de la rivalité avec la photographie. Une fois élucidés les enjeux marchands ou idéologiques associés à ces stratégies institutionnelles et théoriques. il s'agira de confronter le discours critique à l'analyse des procédures artistiques élaborées entre le début des années 1960 et la fin des années 1980. Ce travail de thèse propose une monographie de l’Exposition internationale du surréalisme qui se déroula à Paris en janvier-février 1938. Cette manifestation qui marque une date importante dans l’histoire des dernières véhémences du surréalisme sera étudiée dans une réflexion contextualisée du point de vue historique, idéologique et iconologique reposant prioritairement sur la base des archives, correspondances, témoignages, articles de presse et photographies de l’époque. La première partie de ce travail est consacrée à la reconstruction historique de cet événement, de sa genèse, aux préparatifs jusqu’à la visite de l’exposition, telle que les visiteurs purent la vivre le soir du vernissage à la Galerie Beaux-Arts le 17 janvier 1938. La seconde partie est dédiée aux œuvres et aux artistes. Cette recherche a pour objectif de proposer un catalogue au plus près de la réalité des œuvres ayant été exposées à la Galerie Beaux-Arts (voir Annexes II). Mais aussi d’aborder la volonté rétrospective de cette manifestation ainsi que le développement de l’internationalisation du mouvement au travers des nationalités représentées.La dernière partie de cette recherche s’attache à l’analyse des intentions avouées et inavouées de l’exposition de 1938 et à sa réception. Notamment à l’étude des enjeux de pouvoir historique, politique et artistique sous-jacents, qui permettent d’interpréter cette manifestation sous un angle différent, non pas celui d’un bilan du surréalisme, mais bien plutôt celui d’une revanche éclatante face à ses détracteurs et d’une réaffirmation de la suprématie du groupe parisien dans l’exposition du surréalisme. / This thesis dissertation propounds a monograph of International Exhibition of Surrealism, which was held in Paris in the months of January-February 1938.This event, which was an important landmark in the history of the last vehemences of Surrealism will be analysed in an outlook contextualized from an historical, ideological and iconological points of view. This research will be based primarely on archives, letters, testimonies, newspapers articles, photographs of the era. The first part of this work is devoted to the historical reconstruction of this event, from its genesis to the preparations until the visit of the exhibition, as the visitors were able to experience it on the opening evening at the Galerie Beaux-Arts on January 17, 1938. The second part is dedicated to the works and artists.The purpose of this research is to present a nearest catalogue of works exhibited in the Galerie Beaux-Arts (see Annex II).This research also analyzes the will of the surrealists to present a retrospective exhibition, as well as the development of the internationalisation of the movement. The last part of this research focuses on the analyses of the intentions spoken and unspoken of the exhibition of 1938 and its reception.Specially in regards to the study of underlying issues of powers, from an historical, political and artistic point of view. These issues analyse this event from a different angle : not that of a balance of Surrealism, but rather that of glittering revenge in front of his detractors and a reaffirmation of the supremacy of the Parisian group in the exhibition of Surrealism.

In gas turbines, the temperature behind the combustors is the highest, meaning that the blades in the first stage of the turbine require cooling air. This makes the structural blade model very detailed due to the presence of the cooling pattern. For aeromechanical design, one of the first steps is to perform a modal frequency check by using 3d Finite Element models and the Campbell diagram to establish if the design is acceptable with respect to resonance margins. If the 3d detailed geometry (including all the cooling details) is used the model becomes extremely large. In order to perform various loops between structural dynamics and aerodynamics in an early stage, the dynamic model of cooled blades should be simplified. The simplified model should be accurate enough in terms of predicting correct frequencies but much lighter in size.   The objective of this thesis is to perform parametric studies of different 3d simplified cooled turbine blade models. Various models with different geometrical features are created from the history of the CAD software (NX). Different FE meshes are produced in the Hypermesh software and the modal analyses are solved in Abaqus. The results are compared with the fully detailed model. The influence of the cooling features for each test case is summarized and this will be useful for creating reduced order models. Explanation and guidelines with respect to the mesh generation and loading conditions in Hypermesh software are also included in the appendix section.    For quick frequency checks during the intial stages of the design, the solid blade model can be used which has the modal frequencies within 10 percent range from the fully detailed model. The cooling core features that are important with respect to dynamics are cooling matrix, the ribs and the trailing edge cutback which contribute to the stiffness of the blade.
