Austriacismy v díle Christine Nöstlinger a jejich postavení v rakouské němčině současnosti / Austiacisms in the work of Christine Nöstlinger and their position in Austrian German in present time

Hambálková, Zuzana January 2014 (has links)
The Diploma Thesis "Austriacisms in the work of Christine Nöstlinger and their position in Austrian German in present time" deals with austriacisms from the theoretical and practical point of view. It focuses on the conception of austriacisms from different points of view according to linguistic experts, the analysis of the terms from the novel of Nöstlinger and most importantly on the practical sociolinguistic research. The results of this research have shown that the hypothesis was proven. The hypothesis lies in the fact that the informants know autriacisms and that they actively use them. Austriacisms are a consistent and living part of the present colloquial German language. These expressions are not considered to be an archaism and the informants are proud that this variety of the German language has enriched the standard language. The usage of austriacisms is considered to be a part of the Austrian history and culture. Key words: austriacism, lexicology, sociolinguistics, Austrian literature, sociolinguistic research Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Hlasy přistěhovalců: Nerodilí mluvčí v současné rakouské literatuře na příkladě Radka Knappa a Dimitré Dineva / Immigrant voices: Non-native authors in the contemporary Austrian literature on the example of Radek Knapp and Dimitré Dinev

Mrhal, Jaromír January 2011 (has links)
SUMMARY: This thesis deals with the phenomenon of German migrant literature in the context of contemporary Austrian literature. The theoretical part is about general questions of the migrant literature in German-speaking countries - from the search of a suitable term to the dispute about its justification - and further there is a description of the specific situation in Austria. The second and the third part are dedicated to the presentation of two exponents of this sort of literature, the Pole Radek Knapp and the Bulgarian Dimitré Dinev. Based on the analysis of their two most important novels, Herrn Kukas Empfehlungen and Engelszungen, the presence of themes and motifs referring to their origin or migrant experience was confirmed. Nevertheless, as the comparison with their complete works shows, these themes and motifs are definitely not the exclusive ones.

Ficção e autobiografia: uma análise comparativa das narrativas de Thomas Bernhard / Fiction and autobiography: a comparative analysis of Thomas Bernhard\'s narratives

Dávalos, Patrícia Miranda 28 January 2010 (has links)
This work deals with the comparison of the first autobiographical volume of the Austrian writer Thomas Bernhard, Die Ursache. Eine Andeutung (1975), with his novel Auslöschung. Ein Zerfall (1986), which has some characteristics of the autobiographical genre. The comparison intends to show how the same themes are configured in both cases and how the differences can be related to the different intentions and different moments of writing. Being noted as fiction allows the author more freedom to experiment formally and to intensify the attack he developed against his origins, while in the autobiography, although it also has a strong critical aspect, he puts his arguments in a restrained way, dealing with issues of verisimilitude and authenticity, which are typical for this genre. Furthermore, this text will try to analyse how the novel, written in the same context as the autobiography, completes it and functions like a kind of remark to the autobiographical work.

Politické tendence v současné rakouské literatuře: Analýza esejistických děl Roberta Menasseho / Political Trends in Contemporary Austrian Literature: An Analysis of Essays by Robert Menasse

Hobíková, Pavla January 2012 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the phenomenon of critical essay writing in the context of contemporary Austrian literature as exemplified by the author Robert Menasse. The introductory chapter presents Robert Menasse's life and work. The following chapter deals with Austria's interpretation of, and its struggle to come to terms with, its part in the complicated history of the last century as well as how this is reflected in post-war Austrian literature. The focus of the chapter is the issue of national identity - the development and re- definition of the proposition of Austria as the "first victim" of Nazi Germany - and its reflection in Austrian post-war literature. The key element of the thesis is an analysis of the essay collections, The country without qualities and Explain Austria to me. Through critical analysis of a wide range of topics in his essays - social partnership, the Austrian Independence Treaty, neutrality etc., Menasse presents a comprehensive picture of Austria with all its contradictions.
