A discussão aconteceu a partir da análise de textos escritos por professores e alunos sobre seus professores inesquecíveis. A análise foi feita à luz das teorias psicogenéticas discutidas durante o trabalho. O objetivo principal foi o de estudar através de pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo a importância da afetividade na relação professor-aluno. A importância dada ao afeto aflora espontaneamente do papel, de cada história contada por cada aluno e por cada um dos professores pesquisados. Dizer algo a partir dessas escritas é praticamente correr o risco de incorrer no erro de simplesmente analisar números, quando na verdade, está-se diante de histórias de vidas, com seus segredos, nem sempre revelados nas escritas, dos mistérios, da saudade, da raiva, da lembrança já guardada por tantos anos e que de repente surge como que por encanto. Ler esses textos é deparar-se com o que a escola tem de melhor e de pior: eles estão recheados da mais pura vitalidade. E mesmo que o leitor não tenha podido estar diante de cada aluno no momento da escrita de seu texto, será possível perceber o quanto emotiva foi essa experiência para cada um deles.
